"Chimera ants?" - Gon asked in surprise after hearing the name of the strange insect that had attached itself to his friend's leg.

He, along with the others, had managed to go to Nigg, the man Gon had recorded in his book since he had entered [Greed Island].

They had managed to finish the game and achieved their goal, so after saying goodbye to Biscuit, they used [Accompany] to go to their target, only to learn that "Nigg", was not Gon's father, Ging, but rather his student Kite, the very person who had saved his life years before.

"Doesn't that make these things potentially a threat against humanity?" - Killua asked with a frown because it didn't seem like the presence of these creatures was a good thing.

"Not exactly" - replied Kite calmly as he looked at the corpse of the strange ant - "These ants don't acquire the full potential of the prey they consume, not to mention that only a limited number of queens exist in the world, making their population manageable, not to mention that their small size makes it impossible for their presence in the ecosystem to be lethal to humanity"

"And what would happen if a Queen was the size of a human?" - Leorio asked with a frown.

"That would be a separate issue"- replied Kite while shaking his head- "If a situation like that were to happen, then humanity would indeed be in danger, after all, there's no telling what kind of abilities chimera ants could achieve if they consume a human, much less if that human is a professional hunter."

"I think this is getting a bit murky and it doesn't come to the point of coming to see you" - Killua said as he looked at the white haired man - "Do you know where Gon's father is?"

"Who?" - Gon asked excitedly as he looked at the white-haired man.

"Well, it's not like you could do much more either, not when Netero-sama has been extremely busy lately with a certain incident" - replied Kite as he shook his head - "But let's put that aside, after all, they don't care in the least."

While Gon and the others, were talking to Kite about his experience as a [Hunter], Kyoko and the others had returned to their hotel room, only to see how there was no one in the place.

"Strange, Cloud should be here" - Kyōka muttered as she looked around - "Maybe the receptionist knows something?"

"First let's check if he didn't leave us some note in the room" - Kyoko said while rolling her eyes at him - "Worst case scenario, we can have Sapphire-chan find him."

"Uh, daddy's not around" - Sapphire replied as she frowned - "Daddy's far away."

The women were silent when they heard this because they honestly weren't expecting this response, not when they were excited to get back to the "real world", and in Kyōka's case, get some action because she was looking forward to having a night without a break for a good while.

The girls quickly set about looking for any messages from Cloud, only to frown as they noticed how they found nothing.

"If he didn't leave us anything, that means he had to leave quickly" - said Kyōka while frowning - "But what would be the reason?"

"Let's go to the receptionist, if she doesn't know anything, then we'll go to Netero because I'm sure he has to have the answer" - answered Kyoko while closing her eyes - "At worst, Sapphire-chan will lead us in his direction."

"Right, we still don't know your name, supervisor-san" - said a light brown-haired boy who was wearing a purple turban.

"My name is Cloud, next question" - said Cloud as he decided to end this once and for all.

"Trade?" - A white-haired man asked.

"Hunter" - Cloud replied sarcastically - "Universal, although I've been serving as a [Bounty Hunter] lately, I'm sure you've heard of my work hunting the spider."

"Huh?" - the 4 hunters were surprised when they heard this because they never thought they would have as their direct superior the man responsible for the downfall of one of the most famous criminal groups in the world.

"Next question" - Cloud said as he closed his eyes.

"How strong are you?" - Asked the only girl in the group, she had green hair under a strange spherical hat.

"Strong enough to annihilate the spider" - answered Cloud while shaking his head - "Ok, that ends the question and answer session."

The group just snorted in annoyance as it was obvious that the blond didn't want to talk about him much, though it wasn't like all hunters were friendly with their colleagues, more so when they were dealing with people weaker than them.

"Then let's get started with the mission" - Pokkle said as he took a few sheets of paper from his jacket pocket, and put them on the table.

The other hunters in the group did the same as he looked at Cloud with a slight glint in his eyes, as if they were expecting something from him.

Cloud snorted before pulling out a document just like the others, only to notice how they widened their eyes in surprise because they didn't expect him to work so fast, after all, the blond had only been there for a few hours.

"Let's start with the reports" - Cloud said as he looked at the group in front of him.

"After investigating the area, we haven't discovered anything unusual, which is strange in itself" - Pokkle said while frowning - "I haven't detected the presence of any animals in the vicinity."

"My bees haven't detected any insects in the place either" - said Ponzu while taking his cap.

Cloud looked carefully, only to see a strange bee emerge from it, which he recognized as a scorpion bee because of the huge concentration of venom they had in their stingers.

"The plants have not been affected by the mutagenic phenomenon" - said Balda while folding his arms, that is the deduction we arrived at with my colleague Pekuba.

"I also came to the same conclusion" - said Cloud as he indicated them to read his report, only to see that he was serious, and to surprise the group even more, they noticed how his report had much more details than theirs.

"Impressive, I guess that proves we're not as good as you" - Pokkle said with a frown, only to sigh with regret because it was demeaning that a [Universal Hunter] had more knowledge than them, some [Specialized Hunters].

"Back to the point, it's disturbing how quiet it is in a place that should be teeming with life, so we can only come to one conclusion" - said Cloud seriously - "One of the beasts that escaped from the perimeter, is in this place, and from the situation, we can deduce that it is voracious"

"What do we do?" - asked Ponzu seriously because he didn't want to think how dangerous this unknown creature could become.

"For now we have to be alert, and prepare ourselves in case that thing attacks us" - said Cloud as he walked to a nearby map and noticed how near their location, there was a small village - "For now we will go to stay at this place because it is not a good idea to be in an open area when there is an unknown danger in the area. When we reach our destination, we can continue with planning our next steps."

"Hai!" - exclaimed the hunters as they nodded firmly, at least now they had a plan, and if they were honest, they were prepared to camp in this place, although now that they had heard the blond's words, it was obvious that they were about to do something stupid, more so when they remembered that there was an unknown danger near them.
