A group of Spec Ops operators are saved from the jaws of death by the intervention of the Supreme Law of Time. After waking from a coma, the team's leader finds himself bound to an alien symbiote. And thanks to the symbiote, the team is thrust into the hidden world of Will awakeners; individuals who use their Will to harness superhuman abilities. As if that wasn't bad enough, the team accidentally uncover a conspiracy by a powerful shadow organisation which then puts them in the central position in the fight against the organisation and their nefarious plans for the world. CH221: APPOINTMENT WITH THE LIBRARIAN
Close to midnight, Korede received a call from Champion.
"It's done. Target is dead," Champion said.
"That's good," Korede heaved a sigh of relief. "What about you two? Any problems?"
"No. Mary is still a little out of it but we're both good."
"Alright. Get some rest. We'll talk later."
The call ended.
"They're done?" Fatima, who was close by, asked.
"Yes."
"So what now? What about the syndicate itself? Diego maybe dead but the organisation remains," Fatima asked.
"We aren't going to do anything," Korede replied.
"Why not?"
"Because it's a syndicate."
Fatima frowned. She didn't get it.
Korede's expression showed he wanted her to figure it out.
