That Stupid Woman

In the wonderful novels we read, fathers usually have a reason for hating their children. It may be because of the gender or appearance and even laziness or no brains.

The reason for Calista's father's hatred was however unknown. He had always hated his youngest daughter, Calista while he loved his other children. It was sad, growing up without love from your parent.

"You bought a man?!" When he asked this question, she was reminded of her childhood. He loved his reputation so she had been so careful not to ruin his reputation.

Even then, he had not seen her efforts. He blamed her for her siblings all the time. "Yes, father. I did," she said in a calm collected voice.

They were currently in her office. "Do you know what this could do to my reputation?!" His father wanted to hit her but knew of her strength.

She had started intense training when she was young. "No, I don't, but I do know you're disturbing my work."

Mr. Jasugh clenched his fists. "I can't believe you're actually my daughter!"

"I told you to disown me father, then I wouldn't have to be as respectful as to not call security." Of course her father could never disown her. She was the most successful one in the family, this was good for his reputation and power.

"Just return that man to wherever you found him before people find out!" Mr. Jasugh yelled.

"I am actually tired father. Please, leave, before I call security," she threatened, her voice cold and her hazel eyes indifferent. She never saw this man as her father, but she respected him a bit, for the sake of her late mother.

Mr. Jasugh didn't probe further as he left with a huff, slamming the door. In reality, the people outside would never know the hatred that existed in the father-daughter duo. The slamming door would signify a small fight all parents had with their children. Besides, it was at Calista's company, her employees never gossiped about such.

Sighing, Calista suddenly lost interest in work. When the employees saw her leaving they were shocked. Their boss arrived at work late and left early, that never happened!

Kyle had managed to get to the door when Nolan was distracted. He took the pin he had taken and started picking the lock.

"That stupid woman! Who does she think she is? Just wait until I remove my colar, I will completely overshadow her! Hmph!" His voice was always childish, adding to his childish words and pouty face. It signified his stubbornness.

Finally the door was open. A smile formed on his face as he opened the door. Once he was in, he couldn't help but stare in awe. There was a large bed in the centre, white in color. The sheet were a deep mixture of white and black, showing the wonderful elegance.

There was a large painting behind the bed. A black sofa was in another corner, adding to the wonderful appearance. The soft carpet was white with a black drawing of a lion.

There also other things which were either black, white or both. However, the two colors made the place even better. It was simply beautiful.

"Is it that good?" A voice rang out behind him, shocking him. Oh no! Why did she have to appear at a time like this? He didn't have to turn his head to know who it was. "I have to ask, who was the stupid woman you were talking about?"

She had been there the whole time? How stupid he was! He felt like a kid that had been caught doing something bad and was awaiting punishment. As the last thought struck him, he shook his head. He would not allow any form of punishment!

"Y... Y... You!" He said. Why was he stuttering? Was he really afraid? His heart sank. Never in his wildest dreams would he have thought that he would be scared of a woman.

"Me?" She chuckled but then dropped the topic. "What is it that you want so much in my room?"

"Nothing," he said. He wanted to leave but she was blocking the door. Calista moved forward and he instinctively moved backwards.

"Today I met my father," she started, taking another step towards him and he again moved away. "He ruined my mood, so I want to play with my toy."

"What do you mean by that?"

Calista: Toys are the best!

Author: I fully agree!

Calista: What about the readers, do they agree?
