Kyle slowly opened his eyes. His whole body ached and he struggled to sit up from the bed he was on.
He did not recognize the place. It was a huge bedroom in a theme of white. He could remember being bought and guessed this was that woman's home.
Slowly he walked out of the room. He had watched enough movies and read enough novels to know that the colar around his neck would never let him escape, but he still wanted to try.
Besides, all those movies and novels were about women being sold. He tiptoed in the dark building which meant it was night.
He could faintly see the stairs and he walked towards them. However, after few steps he lost his balance but an arm caught his before he could fall.
The lights were suddenly on and the face of his enemy appeared before him. Calista held his arm making him feel like he was a female lead in a drama while she was the male lead.
This thought made him frustrated as he yanked his arm away after regaining balance. "You just arrived and you're already planning to escape?"
"Who are you?" He asked instead. She didn't seem to be a normal person. The reason being she had followed him without him realizing it. She was able to conceal her presence from him.
"I am your worst nightmare of course," she claimed with a mocking smile. Kyle turned rapidly and tried to run again but his arm was caught again making him extremely frustrated.
"Please let me go. I need to do something important," he couldn't help but say and Calista smiled.
"I didn't think you were capable of saying please." Her eyes glittered in amusement. Is that all she got?
"Well?"
"I paid one billion just to own you. Do you really think I would let you go?"
"You evil witch! You're just a woman! Do you know who I am?" Kyle said angrily. Calista frowned.
"Just a woman?" She really thought that just maybe this man was different, but he had to shatter her dreams. All her plans on treating him well at that moment disappeared.
Her eyes darkened and Kyle could swear the temperature fell. "Yes, just a mere woman," he said not catching on her anger. He thought she was just some rich spoiled brat who knew nothing but bragging.
"A mere woman?" She chuckled coldly, her hazel eyes glistening. "I bought you to be my product, not even my man. With a push of a button I can either kill you or cause you extreme pain. Who do you think is just mere?Me or a product that was betrayed and sold?"
Her words cut right where it hurt. He was betrayed by his own friend and sold to wherever he was. He didn't say anything and his head lowered.
"Why are you suddenly quiet? I thought you had a lot to say. Answer my question!" She ordered her eyes even colder that it was almost scaring Kyle.
Again, he was quiet. How could he abandon his ego? She pulled his colar along with him and whispered in his ear, "Remember, I have control. Answer my question."
This time, he spoke. They said pain was his weakness and they were not wrong. "Me," he said.
"You what?"
"I am mere." The words sounded so foreign to him. His ego was completely shattered.
"Mere what?" She asked again making him frown.
"What are you trying to do?" He asked. This woman, she was really insane.
"Answer the question!"
"No!" She took him by surprise when she smiled. But in the next second he understood when he felt a gush of pain from his colar. His eyes widened and he almost fell down the stairs.
"You forget where you are. I have the full power and you have nothing!" Her words, they were similar to what Jason had told him. Maybe this was his own punishment, to have nothing and to submit to the powerful.
"Okay, I understand. Stop the pain," he said as he sat on the stairs. He hated pain.
"Then answer my question," she said. Question? What was the question again? Sensing his confusion she said, "I asked what you are. A mere what?" She was not giving up on this.
"I am a mere product."
Calista: Anyone reading this is definitely not mere
Kyle: What if I read it then?
Calista: You will be even more mere...
