Kyle felt much better when he sat in the water. The comforting scent filled the bath tab. Earlier, Calista had sent some maids to prepare a special bath for him. Indeed, it was great.
He had to admit that he was a bit more scared of his said owner but he still wanted to escape. It was his freedom after all.
After the wonderful bath, the pain was not as much. He could ignore the soreness. The colar guide immediately came to mind.
He had seen a small black and red book in the master bedroom. He had to take it!
Meanwhile, a guest had just arrived at the mansion. It was normal for the butler to receive guests so Nolan welcomed the stunning beauty, a common face in the place. Who else could it be other than his madam's best friend?
"Welcome, miss," Nolan said bowing in respect.
"With how polite you are, I wonder how you were never kidnapped with a candy," the stunning beauty pressed her lips together in a slight pout.
"It is my job miss," Nolan said. No wonder he was a man that Calista didn't hate. With a sigh, the beauty sat on the couch comfortably.
"Anyway, I came to see the man that girl bought." When Calista told her that she bought a man she was dumbfounded. Was she crazy? Buying an actual man? This had to be illegal, right?
Right at this moment, Calista appeared in the living room. "Leah? What are you doing here?"
Leah immediately stood and hugged her best friend. "I'm visiting my bestie obviously."
"You came to see him," it was a statement from Calista. Normally, Leah would come to the office to visit her.
"Why would you buy a man? You may get arrested!" Leah said in an extremely childish voice.
"Is that the only thing you are worried about?" Calista shook her head. Even if she hated men that much, she knew people should be concerned about the bought man.
"Why did you though?"
"I have my reasons," Calista rarely opened up. The only reason why Leah was considered her best friend , was because she treated the said person a bit better than everyone else.
Just because she hated men didn't mean she loved women. She just didn't hate them. Human beings are just too complex sometimes.
"I knew it! I am not a good friend so you decided to buy another friend!" Leah said dramatically holding her forehead and throwing her body onto the couch.
Leah didn't know of Calista's hate for men despite being her best friend. The only people who knew were Nolan and Ria, another one of Calista's good friends.
"You are being dramatic," Calista said as she also sat. The maids didn't need to be ordered to bring them a glass of juice each. It was known that Calista never drank alcohol with anyone, except Ria and Nolan or when she was doing business.
"Come on! Why would you do such a thing as to actually buy a man?"
"Don't worry about it." Calista never told Leah all her problems as she was afraid she couldn't handle them. The fact that she was a best friend was already so much for Calista.
Upstairs, Kyle had heard a new voice and guessed someone had visited. This would be a great chance to get into the master bedroom. Nolan was also attending to the guest and there were usually no other workers around.
Kyle successfully got inside the unlocked room. She must've forgotten to lock it. His eyes darted around and landed on the book.
Sure enough, the book was indeed about the colar and he immediately started reading it.
'The colar is made by the most modern technology. It is designed to keep your product in complete control. The bracelet has a screen used to control the colar. You will see the guides on how to do it in the bracelet. The colar itself has three buttons. The product can press the blue button when he is in trouble. The bracelet will immediately inform you. The red button can be used by the product to find you. Finally, the green button whose function will be shown in the bracelet. The colar needs to be charged everyday too.'
The long explanation was not enough. They were clever to put some instructions in the bracelet. He could guess that the bracelet explained how to remove the colar, and he was sure he would never get it.
Suddenly, the green button came to mind. It's function was not explained in the guide. Maybe it could help him.
With this in thought, he pressed the green button. He never thought it would be something so bad.
Author: I wonder what the colar guide did...
Nolan: Aren't you supposed to know?
Author: Shut up! I'm giving suspense!
