Wild Tempest

"Get off. It's already over. Dinner delivered itself." Arthur states calmly while shaking Lily off his back, and he starts walking towards the corpse of the dragon.

He steps up to the dead body and raises his hand above his head in the likeness of a knife as he quickly brings it downward, creating a slice of air that rapidly approaches the corpse. It then slices through the body, cleaving it in half.

Arthur then moves toward the head and does the same thing, separating the head from the rest of the body. "Don't need this part." He mutters as he picks up the head and tosses it deep into the mountain range, far out of sight.

"Eh?! It's already over? What about the fight? Wasn't there supposed to be some epic fight where I could have seen some cool moves or maybe learn something?" Lily asks in bewilderment as she finally opens her eyes, realizing what Arthur had said.

She then stares at the corpse of the dead dragon with a look mixed with pity, disappointment, surprise, and some confusion.

"Yup, this one was weak. At least, I think so." Arthur says after giving it a minute to ponder in thought.

"Weak. He says." Lily mutters lightly in defeat and exasperation.

"Come, time to eat." Arthur says, dragging the two split pieces of the dragon's corpse over to the side.

"Eat a dragon! I have never had something so premium! I bet it tastes delicious, no, absolutely scrumptious! I can't wait. How will we cook it?" She begins to go off in a tangent as her mouth starts to water, and her tails swing voraciously.

"Cook? No need. Dig in." Arthur says with some confusion before he literally tears off a chunk from the dragon and begins to eat it raw: scales, meat, and bone. All of it!

"THE FUCK?!" Lily screams out as her eyes bulge in bewilderment seeing and hearing the scene before her. A scene that shows a man, or at least something that looks like a man, eating a dragon completely raw. Scales, bones, and all of it.

This, out of all things so far, broke her worldview, as the scales of a dragon are literally harder than even the toughest metals like Mythril or Orichalcum. Only adamantium is known to be tougher than dragon scale.

" I can't do that." Lily says with a deadpan face as she points at Arthur and how he is eating. She gave up on explaining to herself how this is possible or even why it was. She decided to ignore it and just go along with it as if it was normal for him. But of course, she can't eat it like that.

"Hmm, really? I guess it is a little tough. Here, I will tear off some for you, and you can cook it. I will continue with my own way." Arthur says after giving it a moment of thought. He then proceeds to tear off another piece and breaks off the scales from the meat so she can cook it.

"Here. I hope you have some way to start a fire, as I know no magic or have any tools. I am used to eating things raw, so I'll leave it to you to figure out." He says as goes back to chomping down on the raw body of the dragon.

"Ah, yeah. Makes sense. Sure." Lily replies in a monotone voice as she gives up with the inexplicable that is Arthur. She snaps her fingers, producing a small flame above her hands as she sets it alight on some nearby tree limbs and debris.

She then creates a small earthen wall around the fire she set up and then uses wind magic to fan the flames and make it bigger. After she is done with that, she tears off some small chunks of meat, uses telekinesis magic to hold it over the flame, and slowly roasts the meat.

"I see. That is quite interesting; makes me want to learn some magic." Arthur mutters as he glances over at the process Lily did to start cooking her portion of the meal.

Lily, however, her mind has one blank, and her body is currently on auto-pilot as she was overwhelmed with unbelievable information in such a short period of time. She is just befuddled right now.

A few hours later, and the two of them are seen resting against the side of a random cliff. There is no longer any sign of a dragon other than dried blood splattered throughout and some embers of a small fire.

"I can't believe you ate it all. Even the entirety of the bones and organs of the dragon. How did you fit it all inside yourself?" Lily asks, having eventually got herself back together after having the most delicious meal of her life.

Even though she did not have any good seasoning or spices, just cooking the dragon's meat made it the most scrumptious meal of her life. It was so good it brought her back to reality.

"Hmm? Just protein and energy for the body." Arthur replies as if it is common sense.

"Yeah, I give up. Good enough reason for me, now." Lily says while throwing her hands up in resignation. "What next, though?" She continues with a sigh.

"Of course, further into the mountains. Like usual, we will find a cave when night comes and then continue again in the morning." Arthur says as he stands up.

"What if we aren't lucky enough to find a cave next time?" She asks, though regrets it the next moment.

"I will just make one." He states casually.

"Of course you will." She nods with a plain face.

Arthur then stops for a moment and looks back into the sky as his eyes narrow suddenly. "Trouble coming."

"Eh, another dragon?" Lily asks.

"No, worse. A natural disaster, a whole storm. A very wild and dangerous one at that because I have never seen one like this before." Arthur replies.

"Wait, could it be?" Lily wonders aloud as if something came to mind.

"Hmm, something you know?" He asks back.

"Yeah, I had heard there is something akin to a living storm that moves randomly throughout the abyssal mountains. I have never experienced it myself. But I have heard stories." She says as her body shudders at the thought.

"Lightning bolts that shatter mountain tops, winds the cleave dragons, rain that freezes demons, and even thunder that breaks minds. They call it Skyvanus, the devourer of life." Lily continues to say as she begins to exhibit fear at the mere thought of it.

"Such a thing exists?" Arthur asks with surprise.

"If the stories are true, then yes. They say it is alive. And that is the remnant of a dead God from the First Era. A God who cursed the world with his last breath, breathing into existence this thing that roams the abyssal mountains, killing all that wander into its path. Even divine beasts are said to have perished underneath it. After all, how can you kill a living natural disaster?" Lily states as if giving up on living after having seen this thing over the far horizon.

"I see. This sounds like it will turn out to be a fun and interesting day after all!" Arthur says with a predatorial smile that overtakes his face as his body roars in excitement.
