Tyze sat on the bed, his chin on his fist, as his thoughts roamed in a decision to make.He got up and began pacing around the room, then finally stopped outside the bathroom door, his mind racing with thoughts of Sophia and the impending separation he was about to put them through.
Her sobs were still evident from the other side. "How can I leave her like this?" he thought, his heart heavy with guilt. "But I have to, for both our sakes… mine mostly. She can always bounce back, but I… this is my last chance in life. I fuck this up, I lose everything for good. I can't risk that," Tyze spoke to himself, his voice low, below his breath.
He took a deep breath, approached the door, and tried its handle, but it was locked. "Sophia, please, we need to talk," he said as he knocked softly. "I don't want to talk; just let me be for now," Sophia replied in tears.
