Chapter sixteen

The king is dead! Dead I say! Someone planned this and made his will so that uncle could take over! Now I can't marry Yuki, till he's dead.

"Yuki, Who's this?" The man spoke.

He was a 6'7 man, short brown hair with blond highlights in his hair, he was wearing a fancy suit with a bow tie, redone and had a snotty British accent. He was arrogant if you'd ask me.

"Cielo, your majesty," I replied.

"Cielo? Sounds like a poor name." He spoke.

I said nothing but smiled, a deadly smile.

"Uncle please don't insult him, I think his name is pretty. His name means sky in a language that is far from here." Yuki Said.

"Oh, my dear nephew. Your friends with him that's a low blow." He replied.

"Eh? Anyways I'm out there are things I gotta do. So see yeah later." I Said.

"Hold it, you think you can leave the castle whenever you want. So long as I'm king I will not allow you out of your room till you tell me who you are!" He proclaimed.

"Hmm? We all know Yuki was to the next king. The king told me so and I wrote are the whole conversation down on a piece a paper per se...in my hand." I replied.

I handed it to the queen and she noticed the Kong's handwriting and it was different than the one in the will.

"The wills a fake, my husband never wrote in cursive. Because he said it was hard to read it, he also never ever liked writing his Letters so big." The queen said, "by these two things I believe the will was forged and my beloved husband was murdered, by who I have no idea but I know this cause they way he died was my dagger and my husband was never to die by his own hands rather another."

"Well, my lovely queen I can solve this case for you." I replied, "now from what I know.."

The king was found on his bed with a dagger to his heart now the doctors believed that he did the deed himself and left the will to his younger brother to rule, but he would never do that. In fact, he hated his brother cause of him, their father died of poisoning. In order to try to force his father to write in his will that he would be king, it worked but his most loyal servant was an actual spy for the king and managed to spill his plan to the royal court before he was crowned. This meant he hated him so much he wanted to cause an uproar, so he decided on this plan not knowing the dagger that was used was the same one that the king gave him. Therefore in this note I found near the spot he died says and I quote "My dearest brother if anyone is reading this that means he had killed me and the dagger was used was the one I gave as a gift. So, this is a confession that I was a bad brother as well as a bad king. But to be fair he did kill father, my dear son will never get to see his grandfather cause of you! I hope that even though I'm dead, you will get what you deserve!

"So My Brother in law not only Killed by the beloved husband but my father in law as well. You have committed means you have caused an uproar and treason, that's means to the chopping block to you! Guards get this man out of here and to the block with him!" The queen orders.

"Yes, My Queen." They replied.

They left while the man was yelling, I started to feel dizzy, what was in that drink? No way they wouldn't dare do that here of all places.

"Yu-Yu," I called.

"Ami? What's happening?" Yuki Asked.

"Catch me," I whispered.

"Ami? Hey, wake up! Ah! He's burning up! Someone get that doctor here! Now or it's your heads!" Yuki shouted.

"Yuki, don't cut off there heads. It's not nice to do that." I scolded.

"Really at a time like this." He muttered.

The doctor entered the room, and checked Cielo's pulse and noticed that he was poisoned.

"Poisoned your highness, he will live but I'm afraid he will need bed rest, per se Three months." The doctor said.

"I will get him to his room, please make the antidote as soon as you can." Yuki Said.

He walked up the stairs and laid him on the bed as Cielo breathed quite slow.

"Mamas gonna be okay right?" Haru asked.

Yuki had forgotten that Haru was in the room. He knew that if he told Haru that he was poisoned, he would kill the person from limb by limb.

"Yeah, he'll be fine, Haru," Yuki replied.

"Yuki, Haru. Don't cry I'm okay. Silly boys." I muttered.

"Mama! Ami!" They shouted.

"Haru, you can't go rip people limbs off. That's really mean! Even if they did hurt me, sometimes people are forced to cause someone will take away the most thing they care about. Yuki, you can't behead any you like just cause your angry. You'll make people sad. You have to look for evidence, you can't just assume the person did it then get them headless then find out it was the wrong person. People will hate you then, you'll lose people who trust you." I explained.

"Ami, sometimes I think you're too kind for your own good." Yuki Said "I mean someone tried to kill you! I mean you would be gone forever, I'd never see you again!"

"Of course you would silly, you think that could kill me. Honestly, that was just gonna knock me out. They must think I'm really pathetic, anyways I should make food since you two are probably hungry." I replied.

"You know what, Haru guard him. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. I'm going to the royal court and yeah see you later." Yuki spoke.

Yuki stares at Cielo and noticed his eyes they became so...plain and calm, to calm. He looked to notice him staring at him, he smiled, a bright innocent smile. Yuki couldn't believe he was so calm even when someone tried to him away from everything, Yuki left the room into the court.

He walked into the court to hear the murmurs and whispers among the minsters in the room, he was surprised they didn't notice him till he spoke up.

"Minsters, please begin the court for today," Yuki spoke.

"Your highness, today we want to address the guest you have? We have no idea of his background or if the fact he's a spy for all we know." A minister spoke.

"He isn't, in fact, he was fine with his life getting taken or rather would've." Yuki replied "He also cares, for one. He took in a wolf cub, most people kill it or sell it off. He kept it even gave it a name. His name, by the way, is Haru. I would per se if one of you dare cause Ami or Haru harm there will be no mercy."

"Your highness, there been news that the night the boy went to the woods to hunt was the night one of the ladies went missing and has not been found. There also question what happens if the wolf goes on a killing spree?" Another minster asked.

"Haru? He couldn't hurt a fly. He's too sweet, the worse thing he's ever done is eat too much food." Yuki replied "Well, scratch that, Ami told me that Haru would only harm someone if per they tried to kill someone he's loyal to. But that's it, not like he'd kill any of you anyways."

"Your highness, there's news that the lady Ari is visiting Cielo's room. Would you like to kill her?" A man whispered asked.

"No, just watch her and make sure he's safe or it'll be your head," Yuki replied.

"Yes, Your highness." He replied.

Meanwhile with Cielo...

"So I hear you're to bedridden for three months." Ari Said.

"How did you know that? Better yet why has a lady such as your self come to have a visit here all of the things?" I asked.

"Well, I want you to work for me as my servant," Ari spoke rather blunt.

"I apologize but no thank you, I'm rather fine. Besides I can't be a servant and take care of Haru. Let alone the going places and having to watch my back all the time, that's too troublesome. Thanks for the offer but I'm all good." I replied.

"Your ring, I want it." Ari Said.

"You can't, you can have all these lovely things, why my ring?" I asked.

"Cause...it's pretty and I always get what I want. So hand it over, or else." Ari commanded.

"Your pathetic a little human barely hitting adulthood, command me a being who's been around since the beginning of time. You got some nerve or rather foolish to talk to me right now." I warned.

Cielo's eyes glowed as Ari came closer till Cielo bit her and she has knocked out then awake again as a vampire, fresh and brand new.

"You will obey and live the life of a new person, a vampire who will live and serve me for the rest of your pathetic days or when I see fit for you to die. For now, take this minor ring and forget why you came, think you've been a vamp this whole time." I ordered.
