Skelengel; Tales Of The Boundless One [Not Updating]

When the universe creates a person, they are bestowed with certain traits that we, as mere humans, are aware of. Sportiness, the ability to work with computers, and creativity are all things we may obtain at creation. However, some of those talents extend far past the mortal realm of flesh and blood. They go all the way to your very soul, and these are the ones that we cannot see. These few are destined to become Boundless. And it just so happens that one was designated to die on the fateful day a new god took sight over the earth. This is the tale of Aaron Stone, the once businessman turned planetary traverser. Aided by himself and his potential, he plans to live out his life with peace of mind. However, the universe has it out for him, and it won't let him ever have true peace. However, someone from behind the shadows controls everything, and they have quite a distaste for Aaron Stone. They will try to make his life a living hell. Everything you read here is an account of something going on in the vast universe. Hell, who knows... It may even be YOU who takes his place in the future. The Human Kingdoms

In this world, there are three different kingdoms of humans. Tetronia, Quina, and Serezez. They all are only friendly terms with eachother, and they regularly send teams of monsters into the dungeons.

They have quite the quick trade route set up, in that they have built above-ground tunnels to allow themselves to pass between kingdoms without worrying about being assaulted by monsters. There is the occasion when these walls get broken, but it is a rare occurance.

Currently, the Kingdoms of Quina and Serezez were planning a dungeon event for the people in the guild. It was something to keep them on their toes, but also to strengthen them. They would be meeting in the trading path between the two kingdoms, and the would head to the dungeon entrance in Quina. Each kingdom had an entrance, it's just that Quinas was the safest. They weren't able to get Tetronia to join them due to the king and supervisors being ill, but they would join them on the next one.

They met up, and the quest-takers of each kingdom gave a handshake to some of the other people there, before they lined up, and prepared to go walk to the dungeon entrance.

Monsters and humans have been mortal enemies since time unknown. Monsters only acted on their instincts, and didn't have any pure rationalisation. Their instincts consisted of bloodlust and hunger.

This meant that the intellectually superior humans built weapons to defeat them with. They didn't have guns, or anything of the like, but they had magic, and swords, and those were more than enough.

They always travelled down to a certain 'Floor' of the dungeon before they turned around, if they hadn't turned around before. Floor three. This is where the monsters of hell were made. The entire landscape was fire. They had only explored the first two floors, and not even all of them.

The first floor was a mix of average monster types. The second was Shadows, which were beings made of pure darkness, and then Hell. It was explained earlier. Currently, Aaron resided in the first floor, but there was a catch to his quest for power. When he became powerful enough, he would have to go down to the next level, and fight completely new enemies. This was because of the fact that enemies give less Exp as you level up and evolve. Like a game.

The Leader of the combined guild was named Laurel Anarpov, who was a Paladin. A class given to elites of soldiers. You see, humans also had evolutions, but not like monsters. Whenever they 'Evolved', it was basically just a change in ability. To become a farmer, you simply had to work on a farm for a day. To become a soldier, you had to be anointed as a soldier. To be royalty, you had to be royalty. Simple stuff.

To be a Paladin, you had to be a high ranking knight, with access to Holy Magic, which was taught by an Arch-Bishop. Laurel was the most powerful person there, and everyone was forced to obey her commands, for fear of death. They opened the door to the dungeon, and were simply greeted with a cold, dark green set of stairs which led downwards for an unknown distance.

Laurel began walking down the steps, but she stopped, as she heard the rattling of the ground. She pulled out her sword, and up came the worm that had killed Aaron. She activated a Holy Magic Ability, called Holy Cleave, which activated once she swung her sword.

A slash of golden light flung from the blade, and passed through the worm. It looked like nothing had happened, but after two seconds, the showed a visible split, as the worm fell into two pieces, purple blood spraying everywhere, drenching a lot of the adventurers from the combined guild.

As she walked down the steps, her passive 'Holy Sense' ability was picking up something. Holy Sense allows for the ability to sense the strength of any particular being. It was a powerful source, but it wasn't moving. It appeared to be....a skeleton? Jesus, is she really calling skeletons powerful?

She shook away the notion, just believing it it be a little glitch in the magic activation. That skeleton was Aaron, as could be guessed. She was right. He was truly powerful. Just not right now. He needed time and will to properly train himself to become stronger, and that is what he planned to do, once his paralysis was finally over.

[Paralysis Time Remaining: 00:00:01]

Speak of the devil.

Aaron began to shake out his body. He needed to make sure he was as fully functioning as a skeleton could be.

Limbs? Working.

Sight and hearing? Good.

Skin? Nonexistent.

Everything's a-OK.

Aaron began to walk around, making sure that he could properly run if needed, and it seemed fine. He was paralysed for an hour, so he just needed go check to make sure that he was alright now.

Aaron walked out of the cave where he had died, and coincidentally, bumped into the joined group of adventurers, lead by Laurel.

Laurel fell over, her sword falling to the ground, as Aaron did the same. He looked up, and his first thought was:

'Oh shit.'

Laurel stood up, while picking up her sword, as she began to charge a Holy Slash, so Aaron did the only sensible thing he could think to do at that moment. Run back and forth between the walls of the dead-ended room. He just had to hope a slash didn't hit him.

Laurel sent slashes of Holy Energy at him, realising that this was the energy she felt earlier, but she also found out that he wasn't at his most powerful yet, so it'd be better killing him now. Although, she did find it quite strange that he was actively trying to dodge. Other monsters would simply charge at you, yet he simply ran. Amusing. He got a Holy Slash directly to his right leg, disintegrating the bone, causing him to fall over, and roll onto his back.

[Health: 261/300]

The woman then stood over him, as she held the handle of her blade towards his skull.

"You are a curious little skeleton, aren't you? You are coming with me."

And with that, she slammed the handle of her sword onto the skull of Aaron, and he went unconscious. Great, just after death, then paralysis does he get kidnapped. Not a great start to this new life. Well, he'll just have to get used to it.

[Status: Unconscious, somehow]

I wanted to include the humans early.

Got carried away and now he's being kidnapped.

He needs help, doesn't he?

He isn't getting any lmao
