Soul walked through the city, his hands in his pockets as he watched the streets with curiosity. The werewolves that Aaron had teleported here were beginning to set up their own shops. Some sold daily necessities like food and drink, while others sold items like weaponry and armour. It was pretty impressive, but if they could go out and secure their goods and sell them, more power to them.
Oki ran around the street corner, a smile on his face. He was enjoying this day, as he was actually able to see the race he commanded, or at least part of it, become slowly more advanced. Oki wasn't sure if there were more Werewolves out there, but this was the only one that other people knew about, even if it was only small amounts of information. Oki ran into Soul's leg, bouncing backwards. Oki looked up, confused, and saw Aaron standing in front of him. "Hey, Oki. Are you alright?" Soul asked him, extending his right hand. The one that wasn't covered in Corrupted flesh. "Yeah, I'm fine, but you aren't Aaron, are you?" Oki asked, sniffing the air. After all, Werewolves were known for having a keen sense of smell. "I'm sure of it. You aren't Aaron. Who are you?" Oki asked with an air of hostility surrounding him. He was suspicious of the figure standing before him. Soul pointed towards his left eye, taking his left hand out of his pocket and extending that one in turn.
"I am Soul. You could call me Aaron's evil side, or at least that's what everyone calls, or used to call, me, even though I'm trying to change for the better. Aaron left me in control of his body and told me to continue on his job. So, I'm here now, and Crystet has been quite rude to me so far, so I'm just exploring by myself for the moment. Want to join me?" Soul asked Oki, who seemed somewhat sceptical of Soul, but he took his hand, standing up. "Sure. It's not like anything interesting is happening here." Oki responded as Soul teleported Oki to his shoulders, acting like a platform for the child. "Now you have a better view. Don't mind me." Soul explained as he began walking. "So, anywhere you want to go?" Soul asked Oki, letting the child decide where they should go. Now, if anyone has siblings, they should know that a child deciding on a location is one of the gravest mistakes you can make.
"Well, I honestly think that we should get more people in this city. After all, that's what Aaron wanted to do, and it would be nice to have some diversity. I saw random people walking into the city with Crystet a few days ago. Are they going to become part of the city as well?" Oki asked Soul as he realised he meant the Oliseras, Oliserians or whatever Aaron referred to them using. "I mean, if they agree to live here, then sure," Soul responded, his black, Corrupted hand making sure that Oki didn't fall off by holding onto his left leg. Soul's normal hand held Oki by his right leg, almost like what you'd see a father and son doing at a nature park. "So, do you by chance know any other races that we could visit? After all, I'm not all too versed in the races of this world, so would you mind informing me?" Aaron asked, causing Oki to think about what species he knew about.
"Well, there's always the humans. Although...you've already talked with them and their King, so that's out of the question. Aaron spoke with the Orcs, and that's where Jude came from. So, we don't have to worry about that....hmm. Where could we visit?" Oki asked himself as he tried to find a place they hadn't visited before. "Oh! We could enter the Forest Of Spirits. We're bound to find some intelligent-enough monsters there. Plus, it might be a fun experience." Oki remembered as Soul's interest piqued. "Oh? A forest full of monsters? That'll be a fun experience. Sure!" Soul responded as he looked towards his hands. "Now, how would I access your memories so that we can teleport?" Soul asked himself as his mind opened up a control panel for teleportation. It was different to Aaron's since it was more technical.
It was laid out like the options menu in a game, with options such as 'Teleport to {Place in Memory}' and 'Teleport to {Named Place}'. However, Soul was interested in the third option. 'Teleport with {Target's Memories}'. Soul was much more confident in this than the Named Place option, as he didn't know if it'd go to one on this planet or some random planet in a different galaxy.
"Alright, would you mind if I accessed your memories to travel? I need to know where I am going before I teleport anywhere. After all, we don't want to go to a random 'Forest of Spirits' in the universe, do we?" Soul asked him as Oki let out a little chuckle. "No, we don't! Alright, I'll let you access my memories, but only so that we can teleport, alright? I don't want you going through the memories I had with my family." Oki responded with an intense look in his eyes, even if it was for just a second. He didn't want Soul peeking into his private memories.
"That's honestly understandable. Don't worry, I'll just look through memories of the Forest of Spirits, and we'll be on our way then." Soul assured him as his mind scrolled through the hundreds of thousands of memories as if it was the file storage on phones. Some were so insignificant that they were just grouped into a folder titled "Useless". Soul smirked at that fact before arriving at a folder titled "Forest of Spirits". This was where he needed to go.
He opened up the folder and scrolled through to find an image of the outskirts where he could teleport. After about five seconds, he found one and talked to Oki about it. "Alright, so I've found the Forest and the related area around it. Are you ready to teleport there?" Soul asked Oki. "Yeah! Let's go!" Oki responded, and just as Soul pressed the image to teleport, a voice yelled out behind him. From the direction of the house, to be precise.
"Soul!" Sciat yelled, running towards him as fast as he could. In this scenario, running was faster than flying, as flying involved flying up and flying down. "Don't do anything stupid!"
"Yeah? Well, we're already gone." Soul yelled back as both he and Oki disappeared, leaving no trace that they were ever there to begin with.
