112. Something really bad

"Mom..." Rory leaned in and whispered.

"Yes?" Charlotte whispered back looking at her, not knowing why she was whispering. The other workers were seated a bit far from them so why was she whispering?

"How's the food?"

Charlotte looked down at the plate and thought. They were halfway done wirh the meal. Well, it tasted normal.

"Did you make this?" Charlotte asked her eyes slightly widened.

"Um... No. I just want to know. It tastes someway to me and I don't know..." She didn't want to say that she made the sauce. She wanted to hear her verdict first.

"It's good!" Charlotte said honestly. "Why? How does it taste to you?"

"The rice? How is It?"

"It's well cooked."

"And.. the sauce."

"The sauce is okay. Just a little less salt and that would have been it. And it's not as spicy as I want it but, new place, new rules so it's fine."

"Really? That's it?" Rory's eyes glistened in happiness.
