The First Night

Nick and I meet up to fix up the ball. We are starting with decorations and we go at night because that's when the ball takes place. We spread the rose petals and confetti all around the ball. "Oh, you have something in your hair" Nick says. "Where? Did I get it?" I ask. "Here" Nick says as he takes a chunk of my hair. "Ouch!" I yell. "Got it!" He says. "Thanks..." I say as I try to fix my hair.

I hang the lights and I touch the lightbulbs and they're very hot and I burn myself a bit. "GAH." I yell. "You ok?" He rushes over to me. "I freaking burnt myself with these stupid bulbs..." I say. "Yeah... Holiday club was just using it and forgot to turn it off last night. So it's pretty hot. Let me get you some ice." He explains. I sit down on the latter. He comes back 5 minutes after and gives it to me. "I'll finish putting the lights up." He says. "You sure? I have to do something." I suggest. "You've done the majority of decorations. You need a break." He says. "Fine then..." I say. We manage to finish up.

"Hey Tori??" Nick says. "Yea?" I reply. "Do you wanna hang out at the bakery after planning the big cake??" He asks. "Sure" I smile. It was honestly very nice and mature of him to take care of me and the decorations near the end.
