Amira's Pov

"Tch."

I flinched when I heard an irritated male voice from the opposite side and my reflexes got me standing in no time.

They look and dressed the same, and their complexions are so pale, it gives off a dying person's vibe.

Oh god what did I brought myself into?

I thought while watching the man wearing an old and tall black hat, ruffled black and white suits glide forward on every step I take.

"Where do you think you're going?" The woman giggled at the back of my ear.

Something inside me whispered to run and I did without much thought, across the green-lighted street.

A car was speeding not far ahead and I thought I passed it by myself, but to my surprise, the female stranger ironically saved me from my impending death.

"Uh uh. Don't you waste every single drop of your blood or else I have to consume two and it's troublesome to look for someone with the same scent like yours."

She scolded me but my mind drifted away because it felt like a dejavu. Similar to my strange dream about the hotel guests.

"Who are you people…?" I intended to ask but it sounded muffled instead. My knees are shaking and d

"No worries my dear, it'll all end quick and painless." She smiled and stared straight into my eyes. Her pupils turned from black to reddish and they both glowed in the dark.

Every strand of my hair rose up over my arms upon seeing her perfectly aligned set of upper teeth started extending against the lower and her smooth complexion began to stretch and distort.

I gasped when those countless fangs made up the most of her face and watching it unfold just literally less than a meter away is the most disgusting thing I've seen in my entire life.

"Heeellllppppp!!!" My voice cracked at my attempt to catch the attention of people living atop the random establishments but it was all for nothing.

The monster jumped towards me and grazed my back with her long fingernails when I turned around to run for my life.

I didn't feel any pain at the first seconds of the attack, but right after the chilly breeze hit my injury while I was lying on the cement pavement, it felt excruciating to the point I almost lost consciousness.

The two monsters surrounded me and I saw my life flash before my eyes, down to the point of my memories as a child.

My parents' and I having a moment at a backyard picnic and my beloved dog, a Leonberger who can't leave our side and always look sad whenever I go to school in the mornings.

He licked my face as if he's saying it's gonna be alright, and that they're waiting for me from the other side. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I slowly closed my eyes as a sign of acceptance.

And I waited for the nail to hit my head. Every inch of my muscles are trembling at the image of getting bitten by those fangs. I kept wondering if it would take me a second to die or get tortured for minutes that it felt like forever when nothing was happening.

I gasped at the cold hands that scooped me up then somehow hugged me before it felt like I was levitating. The manly scent was quite familiar but I'm so afraid of opening my eyes to see for myself.

"Please wake up Maria…"

I heard Beomgyu called but it wasn't my name. I waited a few more seconds just in case he's just mistaken, yet the blaring sounds of the sirens muffled his soothing deep voice.

I mentally sighed in relief even though I find it weird how he managed to come into my rescue when he was out on a date with my best friend.

I was about to ask him, however, he disappeared again the moment I opened my eyes. Either the monsters. All that's left was a couple of deep scars that will most likely stay with me for the rest of my life.
