We heard a branch snap. Mint got alerted instantly as well as Olivia.

"There's something in the woods!", he drew his sword ready for any sort of potential danger, I was merely startled and frozen in place.

Olivia stood before me like a shield, alert and cautious, I noticed her eyes changed color, to black, with dark veins beneath.

Mint cautiously observed the woods before us, the thorn bushes remained still like it once were, covered in a coat of snow. I gulped suddenly regretting why I said we should come here alone, but this was the palace... this was the safest place I could be. I observed the woods too, surely it was just a creature messing around within them.

Suddenly I felt my peripheral vision zoom in, I was startled by this, I could see within the woods where I stood, how was that possible? But still, I was able to find out why that noise was made and it was obviously nothing to worry about
