-OMNISCIENCE-

Swiftly making their way out of the forest, Joshua carried Nuk on his back while Anna followed them closely from behind. The loud crashing and the trembling of the ground can be heard and felt despite their distance from Zero.

They knew that the battle between Dia and Zero was already underway.

Joshua couldn't help but voice his worries after they left Zero on his own. Joshua was skeptical that Zero could defeat the terrifying creature that is Dia, despite seeing first-hand how Zero still managed to push Dia away.

Joshua usually just ignores other people and concentrates on keeping himself safe, so Anna flinched when she saw him act in this unusual way toward someone they had just met. Normally, Joshua would ignore other people and focus on himself. She could still tell he was a little worried even though he spoke in a somewhat haughty manner.

Joshua is caught up to by Anna, who keeps moving along right beside him. Anna looked at Joshua and gave him a warm pat on the back. "Just trust me, I know he will."

As soon as Joshua noticed his sister smiling and ogling over him, he became irritated. He quickly brushed her hand away and replied to her bluntly. "That thing might come after us if he couldn't."

After seeing her brother acting tough and carefree, Anna smirked and made an effort not to laugh; however, she couldn't help but add a little fuel to the fire. She replied, giggling. "Then why did you suggest running away if you're afraid that it will chase us later."

Joshua instantly got flustered after what Anna said to him.

"What? That was just because I panicked at that time," Joshua said in protest to defend himself, but he suddenly remembered the way he acted just a few moments ago, making him feel a bit embarrassed.

A red hue suddenly appeared right below his eyes and directly on his cheeks; it is vividly shown against his pale white skin. Anna can't help but let out a laugh.

Because of all the taunts he was receiving from his sister, Joshua was already on the verge of hitting her, but he did his best to restrain himself because they were most concerned with leaving this place.

Listening to the two-sibling bickering with each other, Nuk let out a slight laugh despite the current situation of his body.

Joshua exclaimed, "Nuk? I can't believe someone with a broken rib has the energy and time to laugh right now."

Joshua was struck by how unconcerned Nuk seemed, and he couldn't help but wonder what makes Zero deserving of their trust and why they haven't shown even the slightest concern for him. Joshua slowed down and directed his ears at Nuk. "But still, aren't you worried for your friend?"

Joshua received a gentle pat on the shoulders from Nuk, who seemed to be waiting for Joshua to ask him about this. Nuk answered Joshua directly.

Nuk pointed out what happened a few days ago when he first met Zero and said, "Trust me, he even single-handedly defeated a low-class apostle in the ruins south from here,"

Upon learning of this, Joshua couldn't help but jolt for a moment, He stopped running and looked at Nuk in disbelief.

"That shorty?"

Anna immediately flicked her finger on Joshua's forehead and said, "Keep quiet and keep moving."

Joshua's mouth dropped open in shock, wondering why his sister would carry out the plan when she had initiated it. He could only pout and rub his forehead as he continued to flee the forest.

The dark tree and the chaotic landform inside made up for the bright sun finally shining over the wasteland, keeping the area dark and eerie.

But that didn't last long because Joshua soon felt a sudden breeze of fresh air, looked forward, and noticed a bright light in the distance. Joshua smiled as he rushed outside after feeling relieved to see the light at the end of the lengthy and dark tunnel of trees.

Finally, Joshua, Anna, and Nuk emerged from that forest. When the people outside the wasteland spotted Anna, they rushed to greet her. "Boss your back!"

After receiving their greetings, she quickly set them aside and gave out an order to help Nuk.

She said in a stern voice, "Hurry, bring a stretcher!" She tried to get a glimpse of the situation by looking behind her and noticed some smokes and rumbles coming from the far end of her line of sight. After assessing the situation, she gave another order.

"Everyone begins packing our belongings!"

"Yes, boss!" All of them replied right after.

They all rushed and did their task immediately.

As Joshua sat close to Anna and Nuk, who were having their wounds bandaged, They watched and listened as a massive battle took place far away.

From where they are standing, a sizable field of dust is floating, and there is a loud crashing sound; the ground is also violently trembling. Joshua was interested in what was happening, but the distance prevented him from seeing clearly. When he turned to look, he noticed that one of the assistants was carrying a box of binoculars.

He called out, "You!" The man turned around, and when he turned to look at Joshua, his eyes went silent.

"Please, bring me a pair of binoculars."

The man looked at Joshua from head to toe, then turned his attention to Nuk and Anna. He silently stared at him before he slowly walked away, mumbling to himself, but it was enough for Joshua to hear.

"How about getting one for yourself?"

Joshua was dumbfounded by what just happened, the man continued to walk away from him and didn't even look back, nor was he hesitant when he did it.

"B-but? Gah! Fine."

Joshua was going to argue against the actions, but he just gave up, teleported in front of the man, and took out one binocular. After that, the man grinned at Joshua and threatened to teach "him" a lesson before pointing in the direction of his sister. Joshua teleported back to his position without having the chance to make any arguments.

The moment Joshua sat down; a massive explosion suddenly appeared over the horizon. Joshua quickly looked through the binoculars, trying to see what had happened, but it was blocked by the gigantic black smoke.

Anna walked over to Joshua's side and asked, "What happened?"

Joshua said, trying to make out a spot where there is a view. "Don't know there's thick smoke blocking the view," he said.

Anna grabbed the binoculars out of Joshua's hands and said, "Give it to me, and I'll take a look."

"How about getting one for yourself?" Joshua tried to take back his binoculars, but then Anna suddenly whacked him by the head, snatching them back from him.

Anna asked, turning to face Joshua who was trying to make sense of what had just happened as he stared off into space.

Joshua awoke from his shock and wasn't sure what had happened.

Instinctively, Joshua curled up when he saw his sister's hand hovering above him as he was about to grab the binoculars back after saying, "I said how about getting-" He yelped in panic.

"Ack!"

Anna dominantly asked, "What was that again?" After that, she scuffed her brother before returning to the binoculars to continue her observation.

Joshua moved a little bit away from his sister as he wrapped himself in his arms. "Why does everyone try to bully me?"

Through the binoculars, Anna noticed the smoke was dissipating, and she began examining it closely once more. That's when she saw a person who swiftly glided across the air as it threw numerous fire javelins from above and below.

"What the heck is that?" Anna could believe her eyes, it was Zero. She was wondering if it was her eyes playing tricks on her, but it wasn't. The fact that Zero could use a fire manipulation ability was shocking in itself.

Nuk muttered as he lay there, "Zero? It should be. Despite his current condition, I still know that Zero is already fighting Dia."

It's already uncommon to find someone with similar ability traits, but it's even more unusual to find someone who is the same, and Anna can't contain her excitement as it happens in front of her.

The battle was fierce, as the ground trembled constantly. Zero launched a series of flame shots down at Dia from a distance. Dia dodged the flaming spears Zero threw at her, and when his sides were packed, Zero would engulf his hand in flames and ripped the vines with his hands. Dia also didn't show any signs of losing.

Anna observed the fight, but additionally, something unexpected suddenly happened, Zero started teleporting repeatedly, which immediately caught Anna off guard once more. "Did you know he can use the same ability as wait, did he just teleport?" she asked. "Did you know?"

"Nope, not a clue," Nuk answered her.

Anna seems doubtful about his answers. "But you don't seem surprised."

"I just came to terms with the fact that the world is big and there are a lot of rocks in it," Nuk said praising Zero.

Joshua suddenly came in and voiced his concern. "But are you sure? He's going to kill your sister."

After hearing that, Nuk clenched his fist. His emotions started to rise and were about to spill out, but he quickly collected himself before responding. He told himself that he can no longer allow his emotions to control him. He responded to Joshua with assurance. "As I said, I already left that idea."

"It's better to not mention that again, Joshua?!" Anna warned him with only her commanding voice.

Joshua answered, "I know, I know." Joshua said under his binoculars, which he had just recently acquired after his first pair had been stolen, "Though this Zero guy, he looks badass right now." His past concern for Zero all faded the moment he saw him fight, amazement and excitement instantly replaced it.

Anna sighs, and through the binoculars, she witnesses a magnificent fight. She turned around and smiled at Nuk before she relayed what she saw.

"Better get ready; our little hero just won."
