Character: Pixies are playful creatures that enjoy made up games and tricks. They are not cruel and are generally harmless. Instead they are a peaceful creature that would rather escape then attack. That said, wild pixies have been known to become aggressive when threatened and can seriously harm it's target. There are no known reports of pixie attacks leading to death.
Pixies do have a hierarchy based on age. Though this is only loosely followed.
Young: Children are born with wings that are kept closed by a sort of webbing. This webbing is shed once the child reaches adulthood.
Physical Appearance: A small creature about the size of a midsized butterfly. Body is approximately 2 inches with an added wingspan of 2 inches (adult). Pixies vary in colour based on their environment - forest pixies are usually earthy tones such as brown, orange, green; water pixies are often a pale blue or white; cave or tunnel pixies are usually a dark brown or black; desert pixies are often olive or light brown. They have wild hair that is stiff and gives the appearance of a flame. Pixies have sharp, pointed teeth and claws an both hands and feet.
Habitat: Pixies are common and can be found in every country except Dead Lands.
Pixies are social creatures and will live in swarms of 8 to 76 pixies. They do this also as a defence. Most pixies build a number of hives that are connected into large clusters. There is usually 2-3 pixies per hive.
Pixies have also been known to carve holes into the walls of caves, in similar fashion to hive clusters. This is rare and usually only found when there are over 20 pixies in the swarm.
