A Very Klaroline Ending.

He didn't listen. He was zooming towards her, Freya snapped his neck.

Caroline stared at her in disbelief.

"You better get the hell out of here!" She said grimly.

"What?"

"Run! Caroline!" She almost shouted. "Run for your life!"

And Caroline ran. With a promise that Klaus will not harm her friends. She ran. Freya Mikaelson upheld the promise like her life depended on it. Because...It did.

Klaus Mikaelson woke up.

"What the hell did you do?" He zoomed towards Freya. "You defended her?"

He shouted. Freya was calm.

"She killed Camille!"

"No!" Freya shouted back. "She didn't kill Cami."

"She did…."

"You killed her! Camille is dead because of you!" She shouted back.

"What?"

This was an accusation, a shocking accusation rendering him speechless.

"The elder witch, Agnes killed her," She said, "Because she wanted to hurt you."

He stopped.

"They want you to be alone, drive away everybody." She said softly, as he sank into a seat. "So, they can get you when you are vulnerable..."

Her hand rested on his shoulder.

"And...that's exactly what I did." He buried his face into his hands.

He hadn't seen Rebekah in a long time. He hadn't listened to Elijah in years. Kol and Finn were in coffins. Cami was dead, and he had just threatened the woman who was the sole person who would do anything to protect his most beloved daughter in the world.

He sighed.

ONE YEAR LATER:

Caroline Forbes was in her office, she was analyzing the performances of the teachers that year.

"Hello, love."

She looked up. A voice she knew so well.

"Klaus….?" She stood up. "I….What are you doing here?"

She asked. Was she scared? A little bit. Was she filled with guilt? For the past year she thought about killing herself because she believed she had killed Camille O'Connell, an almost innocent woman.

She couldn't look him in the eyes.

"I am just here to tell you that you didn't kill Cami." He said quietly. "I just had to tell you….."

She looked at him, her eyes pierced into his.

"How long have you known?" She asked quietly. Looking at him.

"One year."

"One year?" She repeated.

"Yes."

"YOU HAVE KNOWN THIS FOR ONE YEAR?" She picked up a small vase on the table and threw it on him.

He ducked down.

"What?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE GONE THROUGH IN LAST YEAR?" She yelled, throwing a glass at him. "I didn't kill......"

"Carol…."

"I felt like a fraud…all this year!" She yelled, throwing something else at him, "Thinking I was just teaching control when I didn't have any myself!"

She yelled.

"Listen to me…."

"And you have the audacity!" She picked up a photo frame to throw at him, "To come…."

She stopped. Looking at the photo. Caroline, Cami, Hayley and Hope. A picture they had taken when she had invited Cami to come to Mystic Falls. Hayley had tagged along to visit.

She put the photo down.

"You!" She whispered. Setting the picture down on the table. "I…."

She stared at the photo, tears streamed down her face. He came towards her, holding her hands.

"I am so sorry."

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I couldn't…..i couldn't face you." He turned away. "I am…..I couldn't."

"I didn't kill her." She was crying. Her hands trembled. "I knew I didn't kill her."

She kept repeating it. Klaus hugged her.

"I didn't…."

"I know, I am sorry, Caroline." He whispered. "I am so sorry, Caroline."

Caroline Forbes-Salvatore saw Damon and Elena again after a year.

At the Mikaelson Compound.

Klaus Mikaelson threw a fantastic party for Caroline Forbes to make up for all the distress she went through. He assured her, this was just the beginning.

She was leaving New Orleans after two days, when he came to see her off.

"I can see you again, soon?" He asked.

She nodded.

"Every weekend?"

"Sure…..." She smiled. A one sided smile. Much like Klaus's.

"And you'll move to New Orleans, soon?"

She laughed.

"No."

"Why not?"

She got in the car.

"The chase is part of the deal, Klaus." She smiled. "A couple of more centuries."

He smiled. He kissed her softly.

"I'll take it as a challenge, Caroline." He told her. "You really underestimate me, love."

"Well, we'll see about that." She smiled, "Caroline Forbes always win, remember?"

She closed the car door and drove off. He kept waving till the car disappeared down the street.

Klaus smiled. For the first time from the time she got married, she hadn't said 'Forbes-Salvatore.'

He was finally at peace. Stefan Salvatore was at peace that she was moving on.

And He was finally at peace. Klaus Mikaelson finally had Caroline Forbes to forgive him.
