Let It Slide
The brightness of the Saber caused Asmo to close his eyes. He waited for the fatal stab of the blade but it never came.He opened his eyes to see Michael standing before him without the Saber.
Asmo was now confused, what was Michael doing?."How on earth did she get here?", Michael suddenly questioned before answering himself,"Gabriel!!!!,where in heavens name are you".
The messenger of God appeared before his General looking satisfied with the results of his risky gamble."What did you expect me to do?.You two were going to fight to the end and she was the only one who could make you stop".
Asmo cut in enraged by Gabriel's choice of words,"You put her between me and the blade and you call yourself an angel of the Lord".
"Hey you don't get to judge me,Devil!!!,I did it to save your God forsaken life", Gabriel replied him almost fuming at how ungrateful Asmo was.
"Enough with the noise!, enough.....", they all heard Maria say.She had been knocked out a while ago but was slowly regaining back consciousness.Asmo left her to climb back up to the land of the living and turned his attention to his unfinished business aka Michael.
Michael sensing Asmo's aura as the Devil turned to look him right in the eye spoke,"Don't get any silly ideas Asmo,this human nearly died to make us stop.I will respect her affection for you and let it slide".
"Let it slide!!!!!,who the hell are you kidding.You are just scared that I will get my hands on your Saber so you're bowing out while you still can",Asmo blurted out thoughtlessly.
Michael didn't expect Asmo to admit that he also wanted to quit the fight so he decided to leave this stubborn Devil's ego intact,"Am leaving then,if you are so crazy about the battle, you can chase me all the way to heaven for a rematch".
That was so unfair considering the fact that Michael was the one who ripped off their wings and threw them down.They vanished into an exploding ball of light stopping Asmo from replying.
He walked to Maria's side and looked at her.She cared for him huh?.This mortal showed affection to the Devil of all the earth.
He smiled seeing that she was just as crazy for him as he was for her.He did ignore making history to save her and she put her life on the line to save him.
Upon his reflection on the events of today he concluded that he actually stood a chance to win Maria's heart over.
But,as always he started to have doubts.Did he really want to corrupt this kind hearted soul who cared more for others than herself.
He was pulled out of his chain of thoughts because Maria had just flickered her eyes and mentioned the most unexpected of names,"Asmo,Asmo!!!".
He broke into a laughing spree and refused to stop even when Maria woke up fully and saw him acting like a crazy person.
"Why are you laughing....",Maria attempted to ask but he put his finger on her lips saying,"Shhhh....,you don't have to speak I knew you cared for me but are you sure am not becoming your obsession.
Maira rose to her feet and backed away just to get a better view of the man speaking,"What do you mean exactly?".
He was about to refer to the instance that just occurred before it hit him that Michael may have wiped her memories away.
Damn it!!!,how could he not realize it?.The greatest show of Maria's love for him was nothing but the past now.She wouldn't know a thing even if he tried to remind her.
He stood up and sighed in defeat,"Just forget I ever uttered a word".
Maria was puzzled but also relieved.Asmo had finally stopped the unbearable laughter.She did have other questions.How did they get up on some abandoned apartment roof top?.
Asmo gave no answer but dismissed the question with his awkward jokes,"Don't tell me you don't remember how you wanted some alone time with your boss".
Maria didn't recall a thing but she was definitely certain that she would never say or even think of being alone with the one who claimed to be the Devil.
They walked down the stairs and were soon out of the apartment building.He led her to a nearby road and ordered a cab for her.
He wasn't following her though,he had planned to visit an old friend of his.That friend was a Hollywood star called Johnny Saint.You could bet that any friend of Asmo was no saint.Who was this man and why would Asmo opt to visit him instead of sharing some more bonding time with Maria.
To answer the question you would have to ask what Johnny did in Hollywood.He was the CEO of Asmo's R+18 company.
He was known as the living legend,the man with many careers and the lady champion.
None of these words were to be examined on face value.They were deep and twisted just how Asmo liked it.

He vanished again and ended up infront of a big company building.It had the intials PH Inc.on it's frontier.This was the symbol of Asmo's power and dominance in the flim making industry.It was in these buildings that history was made and souls were won for the kingdom of darkness.
He smiled diabolically right before he walked into the world's richest R+18 flim factory.
