The New Friend

The class door opens and that's when she saw everything. Aurora takes a deep breath before stepping in. It seems like she goes unnoticed since everyone is busy with their business. That's what she wants anyway. To go unnoticed.

When Aurora see one empty seat, she quickly went to sit. Her eyes wander around and like always, there's a cheerleader team, nerd, rugby team, social and popular one. "As long as I don't get involved with them, everything will be fine." She reminds herself.

As she took out her book, her eyes met with someone. It was one of the guys from the rugby team jacket. He stares into hers as if scanning her. Aurora mentally groans. "Great. Someone notice." Before she focuses on her book, she glances at him again and this time, he smiles, looking at her while talking to his friends who already focus on her.
