Chapter 1

I gained consciousness rapidly and with fright. Everything went from darkness to blindingly bright in an instant. The noise was loud but familiar, like a circus. Yes, that's it, I can hear loud circus music. My vision, still spotted, could make out poles everywhere supporting a large multi-color canvas ceiling. Ropes are scattered around connecting this and that.

As my vision starts to clear and I can see multiple wheels with illegible writing on them. As I start looking around I can see different clowns moving about doing clown things. I'm not sure who they are performing for because the stands are empty.

On the largest stage is a clown in a bright neon green suit that was accented in purple. He had purple hair and a large green top hat the same color as his suit. He was spinning his cane while dancing and spinning as the circus music tempo kept increasing rapidly. I was being drawn in, my sight unable to look away or blink as the rhythm was increasing. The dancing continued as I felt my vision starting to zoom in. Closer and closer until it felt as if I were standing inches away unable to look away until all around me canons erupted with a bang silencing the music.

The unexpected noise filled my soul with fear, snapping me out of my trance. I wanted to turn and run, however, as I went to do so I noticed that I didn't have any limbs and was floating in midair. I was just light, floating in place unable to move.

The clown on the large center stage stared at me for a while until he just started giggling and muttering about playing a game. I wasn't sure what game he wanted to play but I knew I didn't want to play it with him. I needed to escape. I tried to scream, speak, or make any noise. No matter what I tried no sound would come out.

The crazy clown motioned towards me and I found myself forcefully moved to the center of the stage while the wheels were moved to outline the circumference of the ring.

"Hehehe. Welcome, lost soul, to 'The Living Bazaar'. Since you decided to invade my home you will entertain our guests." Said the frightening clown while pointing to the empty appearing seats.

"Instead of hindering or helping you, we will be deciding everything with a simple game of chance. The wheels around you will determine your physical looks and abilities, the type of world you will go to, and the dimension, Yada Yada. You get the idea."

Still unable to move or speak I could only wait for the results of the spins while wondering why this is happening.

"Hahahahaha. This is happening because you came here and spent a long time absorbing our energy while dormant. Now you will repay that energy by using your karma and the energy you stole to reincarnate. You will then gather the energy to repay your debt. After the debt is repaid twofold you will be given a chance to sever our connection and be free."

"Hope you're ready for some fun because it's time to spin the wheels and test your luck."

The first wheel started spinning making a few full revolutions before stopping on the word 'Male'. Thank God I mentally sighed in relief. I could read the wheels after they started spinning. I guess using my karma made the language switch to mine.

After the wheels all stopped the creepy clown just stared at me. The glare appeared to indicate that he was upset at some of the rolls.

"It appears your karma was high as you received some good spins with a little karma leftover. Use the remainder for a single wish. If the wish is too expensive you will get to try again. Or you could always exchange the karma for energy and start paying what you owe early. Yes, that sounds better don't you think?"

Still unable to speak, I could only stare at the maggots and other creepy crawling critters going in and out of every hole on this dude's face while trying to shout 'No!' In my head.

"Fine, but you better not let us down or we will have to send the repo man after you. Heheheh. Now think of what you want so you can leave before I decide to keep you here"

DC is dangerous so maybe an ability that will help keep me alive. No, that won't work in the long run. How about the ability to keep my system, abilities, items, and powers while teleporting to another world of my choice whenever I want? This will work out the best as I can go to an easier world to level up before going to a dangerous world like DC or Marvel.

"Let's spin the wheel to see if you are allowed that wish."

Wish: Yes, with unspecified changes. World Gate power granted.

"Goodbye lost soul, remember we are always watching and will not hesitate to repo your life.

As he finished speaking darkness claimed me and I felt as if I was back home.
