As the loud chittering noise echoed through the street, the ground beneath us trembled, sending shockwaves through our bones. We turned as one to face the massive, grotesque form emerging from the shadows. This was no ordinary giant spider; it was the mutated Spiderman, and he was far more horrifying than we had imagined.
His body was a monstrous blend of human and spider, with traces of his old Spiderman suit clinging to his mutated form. His upper body still bore the remnants of the red and blue costume, now stretched and torn across his bloated chest. His arms had elongated into spindly, clawed appendages, the fingers fused into sharp, deadly points. His face was a twisted parody of humanity, with multiple eyes glinting malevolently from beneath a tattered mask. The lower half of his body had transformed into a grotesque spider abdomen, covered in coarse, bristling hairs. Eight armored legs supported his massive frame, each one ending in razor-sharp talons.
The mutated Spiderman looked like a freaky titan looking down at us, letting out a bloodcurdling shriek that nearly made our ears bleed. We stood frozen, staring up at the monstrosity before us.
"Jesus Christ," Jenny breathed, her eyes wide with horror. "It's a freaking nightmare."
"Focus!" I snapped, raising my weapon. "We've got a job to do." Shit! I hate spiders.
Tyger glanced at me, her expression grim. "I hope that thing's weak spot isn't in its ass."
The mutated Spiderman let out another shriek and stomped its first two legs on the ground, making the area shake. He moved with a speed that defied his size, skittering forward on his spider legs. The ground shook with each step, and we barely had time to react as he launched himself at us.
"Spread out!" I yelled, diving to the side as one of his massive legs slammed into the ground where I'd been standing and began to shoot. Tsk. Only two hits landed out of the entire barrage. But even the laser shots were somewhat scratching his armored body. If it were regular weapons, then the chances of winning were zero. Although the damage was low, if we continued to assault this freak, that armor of his would chip away in time.
Tyger and Jenny opened fire, their energy weapons blazing. The beams sliced through the air, but the mutated Spiderman dodged with unnerving agility. He swung one of his clawed arms, and Tyger barely managed to roll out of the way.
"He's too fast!" Jenny shouted, firing off another round.
"Keep at it!" I ordered. "Aim for the eyes!"
We kept dodging the fast attacks of Spiderman, aiming for his many eyes. But it was useless, most of our shots either missed or only did minimal damage. The mutated Spiderman moved with surprising speed, constantly shifting positions to keep us on our toes. If I'm not wrong, this bastard must have retained his Spider Senses, and considering it's intelligent, it must have a plan to kill us. Gotta keep my eyes open.
"It's like shooting at a damn fly," Tyger growled, narrowly avoiding a swipe from one of the mutated Spiderman's claws.
Suddenly, the mutated Spiderman let out a chittering screech, and a swarm of smaller spiders poured from the trees and some crept out of the building.
The rest of our team joined the fray, their weapons lighting up the street as they tried to bring the monster down. Ange's sniper unit provided cover from the rooftops, picking off smaller spiders that scuttled out to reinforce their master. But the mutated Spiderman was relentless, and he seemed to anticipate our every move.
I ducked behind a crumbling wall, my heart pounding. "We need to slow him down," I muttered, scanning the area for anything we could use.
"Cover me!" Tyger shouted, pulling a grenade from her belt. She ran forward, zigzagging around, avoiding the spider's strikes. With a hard throw, she lobbed the grenade at the monster's legs. It exploded with a deafening bang, and the mutated Spiderman shrieked in pain as one of his legs' armor was blown off, revealing pink flesh.
"SHOOT!" I yelled.
The team unleashed a torrent of fire, targeting the exposed leg. The mutated Spiderman screamed in agony, staggering back.
"KEEP GOING!" Tyger bellowed, her eyes wild with adrenaline.
"Keep up the pressure!" I urged, signaling Jenny to move in from the other side. We needed to outflank him, to hit him from all angles.
The battle raged on, the air thick with the smell of burnt flesh and the acrid tang of energy discharges. The mutated Spiderman's movements became more erratic as he lost blood and sustained more damage. But he was far from defeated, and his rage only seemed to fuel his attacks. It's like I'm playing a Resident Evil game, fighting those monsters with huge ass health bars.
Spiderman lunged at Jenny, who barely managed to evade his claws.
[Bang!] [Bang!] Two bullets hit the mutated Spiderman's eyes, stunning it for a moment. Bluish blood began leaking out of its eyes. "Sorry for the late shot. It was hard to catch him off-guard." Ange's voice rang through our communication device.
"FUCK YOU SPIDERMAN!" Tyger roared as she unloaded a barrage of laser shots into the mutated Spiderman's ass. "EAT THIS!"
I quickly ran toward him and climbed up the mutated Spiderman's body using those big spines on its body and began to shoot its neck. But to my surprise, it leaped up high in the air.
"FUCK!" I grabbed a handful of its hair, putting back the rifle into my inventory.
I clung to its back, my heart racing as the ground seemed to fall away beneath me. The wind whipped past, and I could feel the creature's muscles rippling under its coarse, bristling hair. As we soared through the air, I pulled my knife out of the inventory and stabbed it into the creature's neck. There was a little gap. It could be its weak point. Gotta try everything.
SCRRREEECCHHHH!!
The blade slid in, and the mutated Spiderman let out a shriek of pain. Bluish blood spurted from the wound, splattering me and making it difficult to keep my grip. I held on for dear life, my fingers slick with blood and sweat.
Eeewww! Fucking nasty! It smelled like rotten meat!
The mutated Spiderman bucked and writhed, trying to dislodge me, but I clung tightly to its back. I plunged the blade into the gap again and again, feeling the warm blood gushing over my hands. Suddenly, it arched its back and launched itself into a dive, heading straight for the ground.
AH! Shit!
I let go of the knife and kicked its back, crashing on the ground with a thud. "Gaaah!" Pain exploded through my body as I rolled across the dirt. "Fuck..." My right ribcage... "Cough! Cough!" I coughed out blood and stood up grabbing my chest.
As I got up, I saw that the mutated Spiderman crashed to the ground with a loud crash.
"Fucking bastard." If I were even a second late, it would have crushed me under its weight. My head was spinning and everything kinda looked blurry for a moment. The impact did more damage than I imagined. If not for this new armor, I'd be broken or dead.
Tyger and Jenny rushed to me with concern.
"Karl, are you alright?" Jenny asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.
Tyger checked my wounds. "Shit!" She pulled my hand away and noticed something sticking out of my chest. A shard of Spiderman's armor stuck out of my chest armor. She touched it.
"Arggg!" It hurt like hell!
"Damn it! If pierced through the armor!" She said worriedly. "If I pull it out, you'll bleed to death!"
But I could care less about that since I can barely feel anything other than pain. My eyes were on the bleeding monster that my team kept shooting. Its armored body is no more. The laser bullets were cutting through it like a hot knife through butter. Chunks of hard flesh flew off its body with each blast.
The mutated Spiderman was enraged, and it lashed out wildly, its claws slashing through the air. But the team continued to press on, refusing to give up. Blue blood was everywhere...
"What are you two doing? This much is nothing," I took out the lightsabre and looked at Jenny, "It's time to chop off its legs." I grabbed Tyger's shoulder, "Give us cover fire with the others. Aim for the neck. I've already pierced through that fleshy part, so, focus on that part."
"What are you talking about? You are fucking injured. We gotta take you to doc," Jenny argued.
"There's no time," I patted her shoulders, "I'll be fine. Let's finish this monster off."
Tyger looked at me reluctantly before nodding.
"Fuck!" Jenny took out her lightsaber. "I'll fucking kill you motherfucking monster!" She ran forward, brandishing the glowing blade.
"ARGGGHH!" I dashed forward, gritting my teeth against the pain. My body felt like freaking lead, and every step was an effort. But I couldn't let Jenny fight this monster alone. Considering the time we fought, the weapons should be reaching their heat limit.
My focus was on that fucker. Gotta kill it before I pass out. I need its power.
I can see Spidey looking at us. Even though it was getting attacked from all directions, its focus was on us. Is it smiling? Why? Does it think it has a chance to survive this? Wait! This fucker hasn't used the web this entire time we fought. Was it saving its web? For what?
The mutated Spiderman opened its mouth.
