Shattered Castle

The war ended with its many unlearnt lessons. Strange things were happening. Many systems of government have been experimented on. On the verge of recovery came another blow. The death of a reformer. Suddenly, Mr. Zack a strong fighter of moral piracy of political code and doctrines died on a plane crash .Investigators examining the wreckage ruled political sabotage. The elimination was inconsistence with the time-tested democratic system in practice in the country and elsewhere in the world. It became a tragedy and wound that never healed so fast. Things would never be the same again. History was forgotten and mistakes are to be repeated. Mr. President who headed the saddest chapter of the nation’s political history was fingered as directly responsible. Then came Mr. Ribadau who was dropped after along service at the altar of the ordained thin god Mr. President .He too died of political assassination. The double tragedy marked the genesis of a legal Ping-Pong that saw Mr. President behind the bar in just three years afterward.

Thirty nine

The man of God with his broad, powerful face, covered with a bushy beard, high forehead, the hair receding prematurely and his strong compact body came in view. He was a modern pastor who could command a whole African crowed to be silent as he speaks to his 'God'. He looked up the crowd and shouted his unending praises, thanking God for life and his mercies, for taking the dead away to the heaven from his love ones to God even though at a young age, raising arm high and making incantations in low tones in the tongue which few could understand. It was called speaking in tongues. These formalities over, he started his speech.

"It is sufficiently sad and totally condemnable that in politics, the good are the most vulnerable and the guaranteed casualties. All of us knew what the country passed through just few years ago and we are walking hard to rehabilitate and build new interests in our hearts, to renew our friendships and trust which we lost. It was not because of anything, but for the fact that we are seeking for change and to see how bad it was to live by sentiments, prejudice and prejudgment. Many are still young and are caught up in the tormented memories of the war. We need to allow the sleeping dog lie, to bury our shortcoming and sentiments which still lingers. We are only divided by boundaries and tongue, but we are one, one brotherhood meant to live and share love and trust. We could never ever allow a thing of that to come again. The scars of the recent war is slowly healing and now another tragedy which have been judged to be a conspiracy. Let us be reminded that God is not pleased with these. It shows betrayal of the conscience he gave us to see the result of anything bad we intend to do to harm others. That act is purely criminal and too bad to be called to mind, purely inhuman and disgraceful. It was a raw hatred in the name of politics and religion. For a man who was really selfless in his service, it saddened us to see all his efforts to this country over these years wasted in just one day. It is a pain to all hearts. The big heads who had the lords calling like me should see this incessant sentence from the Aviation Attorney General as an urgent and non-negotiable responsibility for the future of the ideal minds and icons. Death by such cruel and brutal manner would never be the solution of the long battled democracy. Politics in advanced kingdoms of the world is the game of the nobles and gentlemen who had been watched closely and trusted. Its rules apply to life and conscience than anything else. What then shall we say considering the many important souls that we have lost? We would soon go into an empty shell if we allow them all to waste.  In fact, if all the high minds are taken out from our midst, there would remain few who are novice to true governance and our demands would never be met. We do not subscribe to this. Let us as a matter of urgency bury our short comings and forge ahead for a better republic, set an example in collective conscience and wait for receiving the dividends of Lord's patience and mercy. This catastrophe would have been averted, had our trained men in aviation carried out their duty whole-souled or lived up to their billing as we have always known. But being reminded of that would bring no relief. As for Mr. Zack, posterity I believe will remember him as truly great man praise the Lord. And you woman, many days in life present its many challenges. If you get yourself overwhelmed with sorrow, it will only be a cheap triumph for the devil. Guard your hearts. I believe this is a trial sent to you to test how strong you would be".
