Shattered Castle

The war ended with its many unlearnt lessons. Strange things were happening. Many systems of government have been experimented on. On the verge of recovery came another blow. The death of a reformer. Suddenly, Mr. Zack a strong fighter of moral piracy of political code and doctrines died on a plane crash .Investigators examining the wreckage ruled political sabotage. The elimination was inconsistence with the time-tested democratic system in practice in the country and elsewhere in the world. It became a tragedy and wound that never healed so fast. Things would never be the same again. History was forgotten and mistakes are to be repeated. Mr. President who headed the saddest chapter of the nation’s political history was fingered as directly responsible. Then came Mr. Ribadau who was dropped after along service at the altar of the ordained thin god Mr. President .He too died of political assassination. The double tragedy marked the genesis of a legal Ping-Pong that saw Mr. President behind the bar in just three years afterward.

"It is sufficiently sad and condemnable that in politics, the goods are the most vulnerable and the guaranteed casualties. Many who seek to take power at every breathing space have not fair to humanity and to themselves. This is still far from civility that politics should accord us in this century; men who aim to overthrow the government at the cost of many great names and lives. I am not worried by this propaganda which I knew was just one of those false rumors deliberately released against various individuals from time to time in order to control their popularity with the masses. We must be careful not to toy with the destiny of unborn children. These tribal thin gods who constitutes roadblocks to the country's unity should see that these are called off. Our government is different from the government our self-made enemies are pursuing with greater interestedness the baton of power. We are really different. We preach unity in thought and action, due process and non-violence approach. With the nature with which they are going about this, sooner or later, we might engage in real conflict. While other growing continents like ours are fighting to preserve the great names which are rare, some of us vowed to take them away. Death by such cruel and brutal manner would never be the solution to many lied-low problems which independence accords us. This might cause more harm than we may think. Beginning a war is easier, but putting it to a stop most times becomes difficult. If events like these should continue, it might dissolve the political bounds that connect us. Even at a strictest circumstance, the sides that seek to pursue peace would want to resort to arm resistance which we know would bring more problems. Let us display some level of civility and as a matter of urgency bury our short comings and forge ahead for a better Republic. Interestingly, we know that our nation is one of the youngest independent countries in the world. We have handful of issues to deliberate on. We have miles to cover and things to put a cross to come to a limelight like other countries of the world. We must see those issues of duty as sacred duties we must perform to save our country from collapse. The duty to restore the dignity of man, to restore people's confidence, to see the difference between dependent and independent nations and to abyss tribalism which had continued eating us deep. We have relied on the conscience of the world to respect the rights of our people to self-determination

and security. Today, we ask these cankerworms in the military to examine their conscience and be proactive in choosing to avoid a disaster before it becomes a reality. We have been frustrated by an international conspiracy against the interest of our nation. That mistake we have learned and do not want it to continue. Our intention is purely pacific which you all are witnesses to. This catastrophe could have been averted, had our trained men in aviation carried out their duties whole-souled or live up to their billings. That is why in our aviation sector we should work and strengthen compliance with maintenance standards obtainable elsewhere in the world. I think they were more interested in themselves than the lives of many people that had been lost. We have for some time discovered some coup attempt; we don't know why it should continue this way. They accused us of things we've never thought of, we've never done; things that did not even come to our mind.  As for General Kofi, he is planning a distraction or in more reliable and civilized tone, a war without a good reason. All we want and pledged is to maintain an orderly society free from harm and apathy; I felt duty bound as the head of state to do everything possible to ease fear in every citizen.  . I am confident of the fact that human can change, and cannot truthfully be trusted in matters of perfect loyalty. The real plotters from many uncertain facts and media reports and viewpoints, lies concealed beneath a veil of uncertainty, but only providence will unveil them at the ripe time. It would betray my conscience and pledge for betterment of this nation to take up a responsibility in the fishing out of anyone in this, more so now that everyone claims innocence. As for the prevalent security myopia in this country, it is something to seriously deliberate on. This problem cannot stay with us ad infinitio without us addressing it.  For Captain Doki who has recently taken over the Captaincy and General Udor and other distinguished men on crew who had worked hard for the betterment of this nation, they shall always be remembered for it and we shall keep your name on marble and sand of time. We will be making the worst mistake if we think and believe that his appointment to the army chief had been a mistake. Definitely no. A good name you made for yourselves in the service of this nation and humanity in general. The country would honor your departed souls with two days mourning and public holidays. Your antecedents are well known and we believed that providence and passing of time would heal those painful wounds in our heart. Rest well our cherished comrade. Rest well …'.
