In the year 3256, according to the Earth's calendar, humans had made significant progress, advancing their civilization to a high level. Everything seemed to be going well. However, what humans didn't know was that a huge universal disaster was on its way to their universe. Amidst this looming danger, an organization responsible for keeping an eye on different universes took action. The mysterious Third Prince, well-known for his exceptional problem-solving abilities, came to Earth. Now, as an outsider, he is on a mission to change the future of the universe. What steps will he take to prevent the approaching universal catastrophe? Author's Note: Hello folks! To those who have reached this synopsis, I want to express my gratitude for your interest. I realize I haven't adequately described what this novel is about in the description. Even if I wanted to, it's challenging to summarize it succinctly. Thus, I'm writing this note instead. If you clicked on the link to my novel, it likely means you're interested in two major themes: the 'system' and the 'apocalypse.' If you're here because of the tags, then perhaps it's 'kingdom building' that piqued your interest. Fun fact: this novel has all of this and more, but in a more intricate fashion. In this story, you'll experience a cast of diverse characters. The main protagonist invents the system himself. He doesn't merely build and conquer a kingdom; he aims for the universe. He's also privy to the reasons behind the apocalypse. My goal is to present a novel with fewer plot holes and a fresh narrative. I hope you'll give this novel a chance.

Chapter 13: Clash of Ganglords

Rex had gathered his 36 trusted men, ready to head to Jerry's place. It was an unusual move for Rex to bring his manpower like this. Bei, his right-hand woman, was puzzled by this decision.

"Rex, why are you bringing so many of our men with us?" Bei asked, her eyes filled with suspicion.

Rex looked at her sternly, "Bei, it's time we show Jerry that we're not to be underestimated. We're bringing them as a message. We won't be pushed around anymore."

The group arrived at Jerry's turf, a rundown industrial area. Jerry, the formidable ganglord of this territory, wasn't expecting Rex to show up with his crew. He was bewildered.

"Rex, what's the meaning of this?" Jerry demanded, his hand resting on his holstered gun.

Rex stepped forward, his expression determined. "Sorry, Jerry, but I'm here to take over this business. It's time for a change, and I can't let you continue to run things the way you have been."

Jerry attempted to persuade Rex, his voice tinged with urgency. "Rex, please, let's not break the balance here. We've had an understanding all these years. We can find a way to work together."

Rex, unmoved by Jerry's plea, shook his head. "Jerry, the balance has shifted, and I can't ignore it any longer. This is the way it has to be."

Jerry's face contorted with anger. "You think you can just waltz in here and take what you want?"

Rex grinned, a wicked glint in his eye. "Yes, Jerry. That's exactly what I'm doing."

Tensions escalated as the two ganglords locked eyes, neither willing to back down. Bei, standing beside Rex, had her hand on her pistol, ready for whatever would happen next.

Jerry finally drew his gun, and Rex's men followed suit. It was clear that a battle was about to erupt.

"Fine, Rex. If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!" Jerry declared, and the gunfire erupted, echoing through the abandoned warehouses.

Jerry, a seasoned gang leader with a scar running down his left cheek, barked out orders to his crew. "Stay low, boys! We've dealt with situations like this before. We can't let Rex take what's rightfully ours."

Rex, on the other hand, had a steely resolve in his eyes. He had been planning this move for a while, and he was determined to take control of the business. "Remember the plan," he whispered to his crew. "Stay focused, and we'll get out of this alive."

The first shots rang out, echoing through the warehouse. Bullets whizzed by as gang members from both sides took cover behind crates and barrels. The deafening noise of gunfire filled the air, and the acrid scent of gunpowder hung thick.

Jerry's gang was well-armed and had the advantage of being on their home turf. They fired relentlessly, forcing Rex's crew to keep their heads down. Rex knew they had to advance strategically. "Suppressing fire! Keep them pinned down!" he shouted to his crew.

Rex's team responded with a barrage of gunfire, creating a wall of suppressing fire to keep Jerry's gang at bay. Bullets ricocheted off walls, causing sparks to fly in all directions. It was a chaotic dance of death as both sides exchanged fire.

Jerry, a cunning strategist, had positioned his snipers on elevated platforms, providing cover for his ground forces. Rex's crew was pinned down, unable to advance further. "We need to take out those snipers!" Rex yelled, his voice barely audible over the gunfire.

One of Rex's crew members, a sharpshooter named Chris, took a deep breath and steadied his aim. With a single, well-aimed shot, he took out one of Jerry's snipers. The sudden loss of cover rattled Jerry's gang, giving Rex's crew an opportunity to push forward.

Amid the chaos, Jerry himself emerged from cover, firing his weapon wildly. He moved with a sense of purpose, determined to confront Rex face to face. Rex saw Jerry advancing and knew that this was the moment they had both been waiting for.

The two leaders met in the center of the warehouse, their eyes locked in a deadly stare-down. They fired at each other with precision and determination, their shots narrowly missing as they dodged behind crates for cover. It was a battle of wits and marksmanship.

Rex knew he had to end this confrontation quickly. With a burst of adrenaline, he lunged forward, tackling Jerry to the ground. They wrestled for control of their weapons, grunting with effort as they fought for dominance.

As the two leaders grappled, their respective crews continued the gunfight around them. Bullets flew, and the place seemed to tremble under the relentless fire.

Amidst the ongoing fight between Rex and Jerry's crews, a convoy of supply trucks led by Larry rumbled through the deserted streets of Lost Enclave. Their cargo? Five hundred people, mostly young and seemingly forgotten by society. These were the kind of individuals who had slipped through the cracks, deemed useless and expendable.

The trip had been relatively easy for Larry and his gang members. Lost Enclave was a lawless place, free from the prying eyes of the police. Here, they could do as they pleased, and today's task was to deliver these unfortunate souls to Shaoran's scrapyard.

However, as they approached the scrapyard, they were met with a surprising sight. A towering metallic wall surrounded the area, blocking their path. Larry pulled his truck to a halt, his crew members doing the same.

"What the hell is this?" one of the gang members muttered, staring at the imposing barrier.

Larry leaned out of his truck, squinting at the wall. "Don't go any further than this point," he shouted to his crew. "And keep your mouths shut."

As the supply trucks cautiously entered the scrapyard, Larry and his fully armed 100-man crew couldn't help but feel a sense of intimidation. The towering metallic wall and the mysterious atmosphere around Shaoran's scrapyard were unnerving, to say the least. However, Larry had confidence in his numbers and firepower, believing that with such a force, nothing could go wrong.

One by one, the trucks made their way through the open door in the wall, disappearing into the scrapyard's depths. Inside, an eerie silence hung in the air. The young girls and older folks who had been nervously chattering before were now hushed, their anxious eyes scanning their surroundings.

Then, suddenly, heart-wrenching screams pierced the silence. Panic ensued as the transported people scrambled to understand what was happening. Fear gripped their hearts, and the unsettling feeling that something sinister was afoot only intensified.

Meanwhile, back in the midst of the gunfight between Rex and Jerry's crews, Rex received a system update notification. His mission was marked as accomplished, with 600 people successfully transferred to Lord Shaoran. However, only 400 people remained, and time was running out. Rex had less than two days to complete the mission.

As Rex read the update, he couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency. His clash with Jerry had already cost him dearly, with many of his crew members losing their lives in the brutal firefight. With the clock ticking, Rex knew that he had to act quickly to secure the remaining 400 people and ensure the success of his mission. The mysteries surrounding Shaoran's scrapyard and the true purpose behind these actions only added to the pressure mounting on Rex's shoulders.
