I made fun of Willow. I laughed at her out loud and with pride. Before I knew it, I was tumbling forward while clinging to my stomach. My abdominal muscles were pulsing as my insides tore themselves apart.
The girl was not amused when I stood up after my fit of laughter. She gave me a frown.
"What the heck are you talking about?" I asked in the most bewildered voice I could muster. Yes, I wanted Storm, but at the time, I didn't trust a bitterly divided adopted family member to assist me in accomplishing my goals. The moon understood that I wasn't just not that foolish but also not that desperate or gullible. "First of all, Willow, I am not interested in your cousin, brother, Alpha, or whatever else he is to you, and I am deeply offended that you would even suggest such a thing!"
When I placed my eyes firmly against hers, I scowled and pretended to be irritated. Willow's arms were crossed across her chest. "You are deceiving me."
