Party Again
The front door click open and in came in two girls walking in meekly, they caught the sight of the dark skinned girl arranging the cooked meal on the dining table setting it for dinner, perceiving the food aroma they become delighted their eyes twinkling like little kis they scurried to the table forgetting about their earlier attitude and what they possibly did wrong.
"Aliyah you cooked dinner" Amanda exclaim cheerfully her mouth watering at the sight of the food in front of her
"Where you expecting me to wait for you girls to come back and help me make dinner" aliyah spoke irritated at her friends nerve
"And I can see you finally grace the house with your return" she added looking at the now mud stained tiles wondering where they went to
"Where are you coming from" she asked
"Common liyah, we are already home and we even came back before dinner" Sofia, the short brown haired fair skin girl said avoiding the question
They rushed to their seat and start digging in the food not bothering about the look aliyah was giving them.
"She finally sigh and let the matter go sitting on her seat to start eating enjoying the prize of her hard work.
" uhhmm!moaned Sofia when she shoved the food in her mouth
"Aliyah this is so delicious, you're a chef of a kind"
"Yeah and you even helped with cutting the onions and veggies so am not the only one taking the credit so you are" she replied sarcastically rolling her eyes along the line
"Common liyah"
"So what about the preparation of our graduation, is everyone done" Amanda cut off their bickering
"Yeah am done with mine" said aliyah
"We don't have the dress for the party after the school celebration" said Sofia
"Then go naked there " Sofia said sarcastically with an eye roll
"Leeeyaah" Sofia whined
Fine we can go tomorrow "
"Yes!I love you liyah" Sofia shouted enthusiastically jumping in her seat before resuming to her food
Aliyah rolled her eyes not replying to her
She stood up after finishing her food and took the rest of the used plate to the kitchen to wash as her said best friends ran upstairs to escape the cagain"
After washing the plates she went upstairs into her room bringing out her laptop she tap a video call to her father, it's an everyday routine they talk to each other before she goes to bed
"Hey princess" a middle aged man that looked like aliyah spoke from the screen after receiving the call
"Hi dad ,how was your day"
"It was fine and tour , hope all is well with you there"
"Yes dad"
"How about the preparation of your graduation"
"Me and my friends are shopping some party dress tomorrow"
"Okay.you should sleep early am sure tomorrow will be a stressful day due to your girly preparation, buying dresses, doing manicure and pedicure making your hair and skin whatever" he said the last part rolling his eyes
'What a childish papa I got here'she thought to herself laughing at his attempt to crack a joke
"Okay,okay, you don't have to roll your eyes at that, so how is work"
"It's okay but stressful and thank God you are finishing your studies am passing my company to you immediately when you are back and then am gonna travel around the world and chill my remaining years" he said sounding extra enthusiastic with twinkling eyes
"Common dad,you need to let me rest after spending all those years of studying"
"Okay you got it,whatever my princess want"
"And am sorry that I won't be able to attend your graduation but I'll arrange you a surprise when you return I maybe be the one to come and pick you up at the airport when you return, so when are returning"
"Of course the day after the graduation and you don't have to worry about not coming I love you dad"
You know I love you more than love itself now go to sleep I've plenty work to do I need to finish it "
"Okay good night but don't overwork yourself make sure you get to sleep early"
She closed the laptop and walk downstairs to get water in the kitchen,.
Walking back upstairs she almost bump into Amanda who was wearing a thigh length gown with light makeup and heels
Aliyah sigh and say "To party again"
"Yeah you know us too well"
"So where's your twinny isn't she going with you?" Aliyah asked
"Of course she is ,how can Sofia miss a party"
"Hey,here am done " Sofia's voice stopped their conversion before she walked down the stairs her heels making a clicking sound she wore a blue short and a fashionable vest with pink design and her long brown hair tied in high ponytail.
"Good night liya" they waved her when they were ready to leave
"Goodnight, and make sure you girls don't drink too much one of you has to stay sobber to bring you home cause am not coming to pick you up so don't bother disturbing my beauty sleep" she yelled after them as they closed the door and she headed back to her room to retire for the night.
