Preparation

Lexus took care of everything he needed to prepare for his wedding with Anna. He wanted it as soon as possible before Anna or her grandparents changed their minds. If possible, he wanted it within that week.

He informed his parents and warned them that his bride doesn't have a clue about their family's underworld standing. They were surprised at the suddenness. But they interpreted his eagerness to marry her, to mean that he must really like her. He does like her in more ways than one but the most important reason was the baby in her womb.

"She's pregnant," he said and that was enough to make them understand why he wanted to marry her as soon as possible.

The only problem was Anna. He hadn't even met her parents yet. He had already told his parents to be ready anytime that week to meet Anna's parents and grandparents but he hadn't talked to her about it yet.

When it comes to her, he wasn't sure about anything. Probably, the only thing he was sure of was that she didn't dislike him in bed.

A smile crossed his face as he recalled how she blushed when he kissed her the other day.

'At least she doesn't dislike my kisses,' he smirked and touched his lips upon the recollection of how hers felt.

'I want to see her. I want to hold her and kiss her again,' he thought and checked her schedule based on his investigation.

He wanted to give her a call but he didn't want to disturb her. He decided to pick her up in the afternoon instead.

Lexus waited for her in the parking lot right beside her car to ensure that he didn't miss her. He frowned when he spotted her. She looked exhausted. He was glad he bought some flowers and fruits on the way.

But the instant she laid eyes on him, she sighed like he was the biggest problem she ever had. He flinched but still offered her the bouquet. He thought it would cheer her up since women loved receiving flowers. But she didn't. She looked at it like it was bothersome.

He froze when he noticed that she was not wearing the ring he gave her the other day.

'Did she change her mind?! Is she not going to marry me anymore?!' his heart drummed in his chest nervously. He badly wanted to ask about it but what would he do if she said that she did change her mind and talked her grandparents out of it?

He swallowed all his questions and offered to drive her home instead. He flinched when she rolled her eyes and sighed once again. He thought he was going to get screamed at but she agreed instead.

Lexus quickly opened the car for her and ushered her in before she changed her mind.

'She must be in a bad mood. Did something happen at work?' he wondered as he started the engine.

'She might be tired and hungry.' He offered dinner since food might change her mood. But she rejected it instantly. After her reply, she just closed her eyes and fell asleep in seconds.

Lexus blinked and silently drove her home.

'She's truly exhausted.'

She was soundly sleeping when they arrived at her place. He didn't want to disturb her rest so he carried her to bed. He memorized the passcode from when she entered it the other day.

'Her room smells nice,' he couldn't stop himself from inhaling her scent. He especially loved the sheets and pillows. And before he knew it, he was inhaling her and showering her with kisses.

'Why did she use this lip color? Other men surely wanted to kiss her upon seeing this,' he thought as he caressed her lips with his thumb. He pressed his lips against hers and loved the sensation so he did it again.

He was licking and nibbling at her lips and his hands were on her chest when Anna complained in her sleep and pushed him away.

'What was I doing?!' Lexus was wide-eyed when he realized what he had just done.

"I'm so sorry. You are way too tempting and vulnerable," he said in a low voice and gave one last kiss on her forehead before forcing himself to leave her room.

'Still, how could she push me away even in her sleep? Does she hate me that much?'

It irritated him a bit but he knew he was in the wrong. She was to be his wife soon but they were not yet clear about those things.

He explored her kitchen to distract himself from his steamy thoughts. He decided to cook for her since it might already be late when she awakens.

The ring still bothered him but he put it in the back of his mind in the meantime. He should show her instead that he could be a caring husband to her and a good father to their child.

And he didn't regret his decision. He was so glad he stayed to cook for her. He caught a wonderful sight of her waking up and groggily walking to the kitchen as she yawned and stretched.

'She's so adorable,' he thought and turned around and continued cooking so she wouldn't see the probably idiotic-looking smile on his face.

"L-Lexus?!"

He only turned around when he heard her call his name. And it sounded so good from her lips. He was delighted that she fully remembers his name now and even calls him by it.

Lexus flinched when the first thing that she asked was how he opened her door. He lied about using her key.

'I probably shouldn't tell her that I know her passcode from yesterday.'

He was relieved when she didn't ask more and waited for the food instead. He carefully watched her as she tasted it. He perked up when she praised him that it was good and she truly looked like she was enjoying the meal he prepared.

'She looks so adorable when she eats like that. I should probably cook for her more,' he thought. The idea that she would praise him again was too tempting and he thought of a way to be able to cook for her again.

'I should pick her up and drive her home every day,' he thought and was already mentally making adjustments to his schedule.
