The morning passed quickly, and once everyone got into the groove, each person managed to get about two buckets. The director called the rubber expert to calculate roughly how much they could sell for, which would only cover half the cost they needed. But compared to their initial projections, they were making faster progress. After discussing, they decided to return to the guesthouse for lunch, change into more comfortable clothes, and get ready for the intense work in the afternoon.
After all, they had sweated through their clothes during the morning, and much of the sunscreen on their faces had been washed away by the sweat. They needed to go back and freshen up.
Once they temporarily knocked off work and returned to the guesthouse, Suzanne Trent took a shower, changed her clothes, and went straight to the kitchen.
