CHAPTER 5 - BE STRONG, GINNY

It only took Ginny a few minutes to finish signing the divorce papers she received. Ginny took a deep breath as she smoothed it out. She repeatedly told himself that everything would be fine even though she lived as a single parents.

"I'll take this to the office," Ginny said to Ivanka. "I think the divorce attorney that Dave hired will meet me there,"

"Be careful, you just have to hand it in without asking anything from Dave," said Ivanka.

"Of course, after all what else do I need to ask him? I only asked for loyalty and he never gave it to me," said Ginny.

"Your face shows that the other side of you is asking Dave to come back to your side," Ivanka said. "You've always sacrificed yourself to make Dave happy, but what do you get now? Please, from now on stop acting that you can make everyone happy ..." Ivanka stopped her words before she finally continued again. "Make yourself happy first, your heart is more important than other people's happiness."

"Thanks, Iv," Ginny smiled as she said.

"By the way, have you actually met the new owner of your house? I mean at that time you said you met him but you didn't tell him in detail," Ivanka asked.

"Ah, he only bought my house for investment, you know that my house has a high selling value and I sold the house below the average just because I needed money very quickly,"

"To pay the salaries of your employees and cover the losses of The Royal," Ivanka responded.

"Well, you're right."

Ivanka knew very well that Ginny often covered her sadness. Even though she looks very strong on the outside, but who would have thought that Ginny was a very fragile woman. Ginny never wanted to bother everyone around her. That's why she always keeps himself busy working alone, in the hope that all the hard work she collects can make those closest to her happy.

But, what did Ginny get now? Dave, the man she loved left him because he felt Ginny was too busy with her career. In fact, all that Ginny did was solely to meet the needs of her life so that Dave could live comfortably without having to work hard.

Believe it or not, people's views of Ginny are of course different. Many of them said that Ginny had never really paid attention to her family, she was too busy working that she never expressed her love for Dave and Fiona. Not many people know that Ginny works hard day and night to make Dave and Fiona happy, so that their lives can be comfortable.

THE ROYAL

This time is not like the usual days. It was strange for Ginny to step into her private office, her focus being distracted by the many pictures of herself and Dave hanging and hanging in various corners of his office. Trust me, Ginny's private workspace at The Royal is actually bigger than the bedroom she has in her current apartment.

"I really have fallen into poverty," Ginny mumbled.

Ginny put away her handbag and started to sort out all the pictures of herself and Dave from inside her room. She kept them in a big box and put them all in the corner right next to the fireplace.

Now everything looks very empty, there is no more radiant image of happiness from the photos that she has now saved.

"It's supposed to be like this, after all you've only been pretending to love me, right?" said Ginny.

Ginny started to open her laptop and focus on work. She could not continue to drag on in sadness. She has Fiona to support and hundreds of employees who also support his family. As a company leader, of course, She must be stronger than anyone. If The Royal goes bankrupt, what will happen to all the employees as well as himself? Of course Ginny could never let that happen.

"Focus Ginny! Everything will be fine. You and The Royal will be back to normal." Ginny spoke again to herself to encourage herself.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Ginny lifted her head to see who was knocking on her room. Usually it was Ivanka who knocked on her door like that, but, Ivanka's private secretary wasn't there because now her job was to take care of Fiona.

"Come in," Ginny said calmly.

After saying that, a man entered his study and bowed before Ginny. "I'm just going to take Dave's divorce papers," he said.

"You!" Ginny looks very surprised to see the divorce lawyer that Dave sent.

The man didn't say anything, he just waited for Ginny to give him the files.

"Okay, I understand. This is your job and you're just doing your job." Ginny said as she took a file folder from her desk drawer. "But how come you didn't call me first? You've known me longer than Dave." Ginny continued. There was a hint of disappointment in what Ginny just said. How not, the lawyer who is now standing in front of her is his own best friend. someone she had known for years before she even knew Dave.

Again the man did not respond to what Ginny said. He prefers to give Ginny another paper for Ginny to sign again.

"Again?" Ginny asked, furrowing her brows.

"Here's an affidavit stating that you will hand over Fiona to Dave,"

"Are you kidding me?" Ginny asked annoyed. "Dave wants Fiona? Seriously!" Ginny shouted as she pulled the paper from the lawyer's hand and tore it into pieces.

Ginny couldn't contain her emotions. She couldn't let Dave continue to do what he wanted.

"Go! You just take the file and never come here again," said Ginny. "One more thing, tell Dave I hope this divorce is over soon and don't ever ask Fiona like this as if Fiona is something he can ask for and return whenever he wants!"

Ginny took a deep breath and sank back into her soft work chair. "If there's nothing else you can take from me then just go, don't take the only source of my happiness," Ginny said as she held back the tears that were now almost coming out.
