Protective of Her

Leila stirred the wine in her glass, as she stared at the man that stood not too far away from her. Morris. He was in casuals. Jean trousers and ash coloured hoodie.

He looked his usual self but a bit troubled. In fact, the lines on his forehead were curved really well. Staring at him looking so distressed made Leila smile with the glass in between her lips.

"Leila please hear me out" he said

This was like the tenth time, if Leila counted correctly, he had repeated those words. He claimed he wants to explain. What was confusing to her was, why? And who gave him the idea that if he did explain she was going to listen to his bullshit of a story.

She did not care about a single thing he said and that included his plea. For fucks sake, he cheated on her. Not in secret, in the eyes of everyone. Not with anyone, but with her arch enemy, her one and only rival, Racheal.
