Prologue

「  warning : mediocre cursing ahead  」

Nang maisuot niya ang earpiece sa kanyang tenga ay parang siyang mabingi dahil sa ginawang ingay ng kanyang mga kasama.

"Code Blue! Code Blue! Code Blue!"

"Tangina, guys. Umandar atah yung ulcer ko"

"I could hear your voices! I could really hear you, guys!"

"Nanginginig ang mga bituka sa tyan ko mga pare. Etoh yata ang tinatawag ng karamihan, butterflies in your stomach"

"Bobo mo. Nininerbyos ka lang!"

"Code Blue! Code Blue! Code Blue!"

"For Pete's sake, fucking shut up, Torres!"

Prudent could hear one of them thunderously screaming, dahilan upang mapangiwi siya sa lakas at ingay ng boses nito.

"May I remind all of you that we are in a mission. Please restraint from using your actual names---I'm talking to you, Ibon Adarna."

Narinig niya ang boses ng kanilang commander mula sa earpiece. The rest of them instantly quiet down, takot na baka sila na naman ang mapagalitan nito. Kahit hindi niya makikita ang kanilang pagmumukha, alam niyang nasisiyahan ang mga ito sa nangyari sa isa sa kanila.

Muli itong nagsalita, "Did I make myself clear?"

"Loud and Clear"

"Opo..."

"Ang seryoso niyo naman, Sir"

"Umayos ka, Crazy Dog. Baka gusto mong isusumbong kita kay mommy"

"Mahiwagang Salamin, please brief them about our mission today"

Dumagundong ang ma-awtoridad na boses ng commander. Prudent unconsciously straighten his back from where he was hiding. Humigpit ang kapit niya sa hawak niyang baril.

A familiar young voice stream from the earpiece, it was loud and clear yet it was a voice filled with leadership and authority.

"The vessel is Mr. Sayun Ayuda. He is a veteran collector who was known for collecting valuable and rare artifacts of the 16th century. According to what we have gathered from our intel, even though he owns hundreds of artifacts who are valuable compared to the next one, he had his favorite."

"Yung paborito ba ng Ayuda na yun ang misyon natin?"

"Correct. Our main objective for this mission is Mr. Ayuda's most price possession, Mary Rose. She's been hidden by Mr. Ayuda from the eyes of the media and was locked in the coast of his mansion"

"That's when we come in, our mission is to take away what most people desire and their valuable treasures. Mary Rose is the apple of Mr. Ayuda's eyes and we will whisked her away under his nose."

Narinig niyang nag-uusap ang dalawa sa kanyang kasamahan, base sa naririnig niya sa earpiece.

"Oi, messenger. Yung calling card naihatid mo na ba?"

"Ano nga yung calling card?"

"Yung advanced notice kako"

"Ahh...Oo, kanina umaga ko pa naihatid. Kasama ko si Postpone Graduate at Panira Ng Pamilya"

"Dr. Kwak-Kwak!"

"What's wrong?"

"Wala lang"

He could hear the suppressing giggles from the other side.

"Patay ka sa akin mamaya, Ap---Hallelujah"

Prudent moved his gaze to look at the bright mansion that stood in the dark island. The mansion was built near the sea and behind the property was an army of tall forest trees, which would be their advantage to enter the mansion.

"Pervert Eyes, Ibon Adarna, you'll be guarding outside the mansion. Alert us if there are any third parties involving the mission"

"Understood!"

"Bahaghari, Kulang sa height, stay in your position. Fire when necessary and don't get caught"

"R-Roger..."

He could hear one of them cursing under his breath, nagrereklamo kung bakit sa lahat ng pwede ipapangalan sa kanya bakit kulang sa height pa?!

Prudent could only hide his smile dahil alam niyang nasa paligid lang si Kulang sa height at namamasid sa kanila with his sniper gun.

Continuous commands flowed through the earpiece like water and all of them willingly obliged while taking pre-caution and checking their surroundings.

"First Concubine will hack the security mainframe..."

Inayos niya ang kanyang camouflage boots with a hunter knife sticking to the side of his lower leg. May dala siyang isang medium-size bag sa kanyang likod. Luckily, it wasn't that heavy and the materials were lightweight.

He had a premonition that he'll be needing the materials from his bag, pero pinalangin niya na sana na hindi darating ang oras na gagamitin niya ito.

It would be disastrous, if it ever happens.

"Messenger, Two-Faced Gender..."

His lips curled into a smile.

"the two of you are in charge of kidnapping Mary Rose from the mansion"

"Mahiwagang Salamin and I will keep all of you in touch. Please do be careful. Your safety is our number one priority"

Akala ni Prudent, tapos na ang sasabihin ng kanilang commander...

"Oh, and remember, don't forget to look chic and stylish"

Yun lang pala...

"Section Sage Z, raise your guns!"

"Yes, Sir!"

"...and happy new year"

It was a moment of silence bago bumalik ang ingay. Halos magkasabay-sabay ang kanilang boses na wala nang maintindihan si Prudent.

"Panira ka ng moment, Makabayan"

"Dude, that was uncalled for."

"That moment was already epic, ba't sinira mo pa!?"

"OA much, Baliw Na Aso?"

"Nakakainis ka, Panty-Napper"

"Putanginang code name yan!"

"Let's go" nilingon niya ang kanyang kasama na si Pusong Babae. Both of them cocked their guns, ready to fire when needed.

"Ang iingay niyo, mga tangina!"

"Did you kiss your mother with that mouth?"

"Gago. Option ka lang"
