She stretched, savoring the moment before reality fully set in. The joy from daydreaming about her romance was interrupted by a sudden, insistent banging on her door. Confused and slightly annoyed, she hurried to answer.
To her surprise, standing on the other side was Adam, her ex-boyfriend. His disheveled appearance and the scowl on his face hinted at the storm brewing within him. Victoria, in her pajamas and still caught in the haze between dreams and reality, raised an eyebrow.
