Yu Bai decided to lie about his relationship with Yun Hai. He told her that Yun Hai was one of his close friends in college just like those people that attended their wedding. He even told her that Yun Hai was a serious person but sometimes likes to play jokes, so Ma Mian feel a bit uncomfortable.

"Yun Hai was the person that let me work in Jiaolong Corporation he sent me this card as an apology to you for being a bit naughty." Yu Bai said with an awkward expression.

In his mind, he is congratulating himself for his good acting.

If Ma Mian could only look straight into Yu Bai's eyes, she could easily see through his weak acting skills. However, ever since the two got married they seldom look each other in the eyes as they both acted like timid people.

"It's okay… Tell him, that he did not need to do such a thing." Ma Mian waved her hand to dismiss the gesture of that guy.

But how could Yu Bai let this be?

"Mian… Honey… Yun Hai is a very close friend of mine, but he's been away in another country for a long time. So doing something like this is just normal for us. Why don't we spend as much as we can today?" Yu Bai said with a wide grin on his face.

"Ma Mian was a bit appalled but still nodded her head. Anyway, it was that man's fault. She would not be merciful then."

The two began to enter expensive shops one after another and after buying many things they decided to have dinner in a fancy restaurant.

Yu Bai is very elated right now as he saw his wife spend his money. It's like he felt proud that he is able to at least treat her secretly.

After dinner, the two went home and spend the time together. Ma Mian has no inhibition already and just let Yu Bai do what he wanted to do with her.

She likes his simple touch and his kisses. She particularly likes his soft lips which she could not get enough off him especially when kissing. Since Yu Bai did not smoke nor drink that much, his breath smells like mint always and she truly likes it.

The couple spent a loving time in their small home talking, cuddling, and playing with each other.

That night, Ma Mian is in the bathroom taking a shower, when she suddenly heard the bathroom door slowly being opened. When she saw this, her eyes immediately went wide in fear. How could she not be afraid? She is currently without any makeup on and her bare face would surely be recognizable to Yu Bai.

Anxiety gripped her heart as she did not know what to do. Suddenly an idea came to her mind.

"Bai… is that you? Can you please get me a new towel…" she said as she hurried towards the makeup kit on the small cabinet. This is her secret backup kit.

In just 2 minutes, she expertly finished putting her freckles and her thick eyes brows.

Then the bathroom door one again twisted open. This time, Yu Bai enters with only a towel on.

"Sigh… I was going to surprise you so that we can take a bath together." Yu Bai frown then handed her the towel.

"Thank you… But I'm already done." Ma Mian said with a smile.

Yu Bai was a bit stunned. Done? That was very fast, he knew that when his wife takes a bath it would last for around an hour. How could he believe that she is already done?

"Mian…" Yu Bai pouted like a baby.

But how could Ma Mian let him do as he pleased? She suddenly glared at him.

"Bai… I truly like the way we do things… But… but when in the bathroom, can we not take a bath together? I mean… you know…" Ma Mian said with a sad expression.

How could Yu Bai fight against that? From the way she turns her head and exposes her expression, to the subtle amount of tears forming at the corner of her eyes, everything was executed perfectly that Yu Bai was immediately taken.

As a really good actress and someone who is keeping a secret, Ma Mian needs to use her skills even to her own husband, well… especially to her own husband. She did not know what would happen, and she did not dare take a gamble towards the man that she loves.

Yu Bai hugged her gently.

"I'm sorry I was too insensitive. I promise… I will wait till you are ready for us to take a bath together… Hehe…" Yu Bai said with a slight teasing chuckle.

Ma Mian just buried her head on his chest then gives him a gentle peck on his lips.

Yu Bai squints his eyes as he savors that simple gesture of hers.

That night, when Ma Mian is already asleep, Yu Bai got a call and the caller is the person he assigned to Ma Liling's case. He walks out of the room and received it.

"Hello! How was it?" Yu Bai said in a serious tone.

'Sir, it's already done. Just read the morning news, you'll be surprised…'

"Thank you…"

After hanging up, Yu Bai returns to the bedroom with a happy smile on his face. He gave Ma Mian who is sleeping calmly on his side a gentle peck on her cheek.

The piece of news was too explosive that the whole online community was abuzz. Then there are even pictures with blurred faces of a man and a woman inside a house. The scandal spread like wildfire that it even included a lot of names in the entertainment industry.
