"Hello, who is this?" Caroline heard a familiar voice that she won't forget as he's the voice, weapon and hand his once father-in-law used.
"It's me Caroline. I want to speak to him." She said in a hasty tone, pleased that she got the right number.
"Please give me a few moments." The man replied.
At the chairman's side, he could be seen in a room, sitting down on a chair and staring at the woman sleeping peacefully on the bed in front of him.
Like he said, he had made his plan to pass on his daughter and given her the peace he felt she needed.
The only thing left now is to get his granddaughter out of the mess she was in and hope the once worse family could become a better one.
Hearing that he has a call from Caroline, guilt further envelops this heart. He knew everything.
He could have just gotten her a better treatment, but turns a cold shoulder.
He could have done something, instead of not caring at all. He's the worst.
