chapter 2 What have you done [Part 2]

From what Amari knows, the attic in Athena's house was off-limits for some reason. However if he were to guess, it would probably have to do with Athena's Dad, Atrios.

Atrios was also in the army of Valandor but was a bit different from Eir. He was on the exploration and research team, their job was to explore the world which is known by many as Azroth and study all the interesting things that are found as well as map out all the new locations.

currently, Athena's father was on an expedition mission in the north. which is supposed to have another kingdom that has not yet been discovered.

"Hey Athena, are you sure we should be going up here."

"Absolutely not you idiot, I just wanted to show you something quick"

Amari was very interested in the history and the world of Azeroth and Athena knew this, that's why he was very anxious as he knew she wouldn't bring him up here if it didn't have anything to do with his passion.

"I secretly have been coming up here at night and just found something that you might be able to help me with since you're nerd and all"

Amari gritted his teeth in anger but instantly let go of it because of what he saw as he entered the attic. There, a lone desk stood with one wooden chair. On the Desk, there were 5 books, each titled differently in a weird language that is not of the one spoken in this region. As well as a quill and ink on the corner of the desk.

Around the desk, there were many chests lying around in an organized fashion but there was one chest that was opened on the ground beside the organized pile. The chest had a label that said, Scrolls of time.

If Amari was a nerd when it came to history and geography then he was an absolute freak when it came to scrolls. As much as he hated them he also wanted to learn more about them and understand where they come from and why they lead people to madness.

"You see those Five Books over here, those were in this chest. I tried to read them but every book was written in a different language than the other one. That's why I brought you up here, to see if you can translate one of them"

Amari was in no way a professional but just like Athena, his father was also a scout. Before he disappeared he left a note to Amari telling him to learn the truth and when he finally does he will meet him again.

whatever that means...

Anyway, he read all of his father's books and that's why his passion for the history and the powers that are a part of Azeroth intrigued him so much. So it made sense why Athena wanted him of all people to try and translate it. It was also because she didn't trust anyone else.

"Uhh let me see, I can't read Three of them but I can perfectly read one and possibly the other one."

"Great, Two is already a lot. So what do they say?"

Amari frowned and started to feel a bit sad as he read the first book's title, there was something about the writing that felt similar.

"Book three, the scroll of the present. huh odd"

Amari stumbled in thought as he tried his best to translate the other book.

"book five, the scroll of..., damn I can't seem to figure out the last word."

Athena looked a bit surprised that he even got one book so to her it didn't matter.

"Wow, Amari, that's amazing, but what could this mean? From what I know my father is more of a geography and location type of scouter, not a scroll one."

Amari stood there silent for a while and then looked at Athena with eyes more intense than a Grand griffin hunting its prey.

He finally understood why the writing was familiar to him. He then said in a quiet but menacing voice.

"that's because those books aren't your father's, These are my father's"
