Sooner, Not Later

David leaned on the closed door, panting slowly and staring at the killer. The killer began to move closer to him step by step and shaking his head slowly as he was moving. He brought out his knife and brought his face closer to David. David, breathing slowly, focused his eyes on the white mask, trying to get hold of the electric lamp stand besides the door.

"Jake?" David called and the killer raised the knife

The moment the killer raised the knife for a stab, David got his hands on the lamp stand and hit it hardly on the killer's head. He staggered back and returned with the knife for another stab. David held his hand with his strength and pushed him away. His towel fell off and the killer looked at him and chuckled.

"You got a nice dick" he said and came for another attack with the knife. He sliced David's arm with the knife and stopped. Slowly, he began to head backwards towards the window, looking at door behind David while David was covering the sliced part of his arm as blood was dropping out from the wound. Slowly, he picked up the towel and surrounded his waist with it.

Amanda and Deb bashed into the room, pointing pistols towards the window. The killer disappeared the moment the door was opening.

"Where'd he go?" Deb asked sharply.

"The window' David replied painfully, looking at the wound on his arm.

"Are you okay baby" Amanda rushed up to him.

"Yeah..ummm…yeah I am, just a little slice" he groaned.

"I got you" Amanda replied, tying the wound with a piece of cloth.

'Is that Jake?" David asked

"Nah, he drove us down here"

"You allowed Jake to drive you guys here?"

"He was trying to prove himself innocent" Amanda replied.

"He's toying you both" David added, looking at Deb and Amanda.

"We know" Amanda replied.

"Y'all should have listened to me when I told about the little dirty secret in this shitty murder bullshit we're suffering right now" Deb sighed heavily.

"Then who the fuck is this second ghost masked player?" David asked.

"Where's Ben"

"School" David looked at her.

"We need bullets"

"It's okay now" Amanda smiled to David, rubbing her hands on his arm.

"No, we need a plan" Amanda stood up.

"To be backed up with guns, we are fighting evil"

"Who is the second killer?" Amanda asked Deborah.

"What are you thinking?"

"Someone close to you, no cap"

"What?"

"Am talking about set ups Deb, Fraser wasn't supposed to die yesterday if the caller didn't ask you to turn on the television" Amanda said, staring directly into Deborah's eye. David also looked at Deborah.

"No!" Deb scoffed.

"No! Alice can't hurt a fly, I'm sorry. Your thinking is so very poor" she chuckled.

"You are really having a really great trust on her because you thinks she can't hurt a damn fly"

'I second that" David joined.

'Look…guys" she chuckled again.

"Come on…I know what am saying, she…I mean she is just a kid like you, she can't…" she paused, staring at Amanda.

"You mean she called me after knowing that Fraser was with us and he will get really mad after finding out that his family was murdered?"

"So she waited outside, knowing that he will angrily get off your house"

"What the fuck?"

"Yea…th-that's exactly what I'm thinking, that's it" Amanda said out loudly.

"You kidding me, that's not true" Deb was surprised.

"I wish so but we got to find out ourselves" Amanda said.

"We have to be careful, this..this was supposed to end in the church, why is it still following us?" David asked weakly. Deb looked at Amanda and back to David.

"Who's supposed to answer that question? David"

'Whatever, give me some space, I want to dress up" he said, heading to his closet.

"That's not happening, we both face the door, you dress up" Deb answered, facing the door.

Jane, wearing a grey cardigan and a blue jean trouser, was walking out of a store when a message dropped on her phone. She looked at the screen, it was a message from Jake. Seven minutes later, she met him in an old warehouse where two old BMW's were packed. Jake was sitting on the bonnet of one of the cars when Jane arrived the spot. As she was moving closer to him, a young beautiful girl came out from behind the car. Jane's stare changed the moment she saw the girl.

"Hi baby?' Jake smiled to Jane.

"What are you doing and who is she?"

"Oh!, this?" he pointed at the young girl.

"This is Alice, my partner" he replied with an evil chuckle. After staring at Alice for few seconds with multiple blinks, Jane chuckled silently.

"Sorry…D-did you say partner in crime?"

"She's the second killer"

"Oh! fuck you both"

"Thank you"

"Why'd you call me here for by the way?"

"To join us"

"In killing innocent people? Jake can't you stop this bullshit?"

"It can't stop honey, the hunt never stops, it will always continue till the end of time" Jake said with demonstrations.

"You both are killing innocent people Jake, These people's life isn't worthless for murdering fucking sake…"

"Don't you get it? That's what we are meant to do, kill because we are murderers and we are proud of it"

"Proud of it? Killing people makes you proud? Jake what have you turned youself into?"

"I didn't turn myself into this" he opened his arms

"Someone turned me into this and you and I knows that there's no shit on how to control myself. Come on Jane, killing is super fun"

"You dead Jake, you're really messed up"

"I'm better off dead baby. Okay, enough of the condemnation, say hi to Alice"

"Fuck you Alice" Jane grinned to her.

"Nice to meet you too' Alice smiled to her.

"See? She's a good one isn't she" Jake smiled to Jane. Jane turned immediately and headed out of the warehouse.

"Think about it sweetheart, I wanna hear from you sooner not later" he said loudly as was leaving.

"She will get by" Alice said.

'She will".

Jane brought out her phone and texted Amanda the moment she got into the street.

'They are two, found the second one'.
