INTERLUDE- I think I'm in need of a costume change

A few days passed and I know I'm getting closer to the leaves' border where the meet up is suppose to be. I didn't tell of course, because its not is his to know along the journey I snagged a new outfit from the previous town we were in and suggested that he do the same; so we spent an entire afternoon.

"Okay, so it was your idea to cloth shop, why?"

"Why not?" I shrugged "I mean I'm in we both are in need of some new threads. Especially you-" I pointed my index finger at the sandy blonde boy "-don't you think." I said matter-o-factually

"Hey"

"It's true"

"Whatever kid, but your buying since this was your idea"

"I don't mind...Now c'mon! I can't wait to get a cut new outfit!" I Squealed excitedly, genuinely happy for once, perhaps about the fact that I'm updating my style. It was so needed, I mean My current clothes still fit but its just the few joys I can acquire in this gloomy world.

"Oh how about this?" I said holding out a black tee and dark red vest with a pair of matching black pants "What do ya think?"

"I told ya, you'll look good in anything Har-Rei, Rei." He commented, I pulled my lips in a thin line but quickly dismissed the thought.

"You're right, it's not good enough." I playfully pouted

"Then why did you ask?!" He said in that reaction I expected by now

"Don't get yourself in a knot" I brushed off nonchalantly, with a sly smirk "You're so easy to bait, firecracker." I laughed my pants off.

"You little twerp" he said feigning annoyed, I just flashed an innocent grin and then took the outfit back, hanging it up and going back in the dressing room.

Trying the next one on, turning towards the mirror and reviewing the outfit on my petite and slender body. it was a simple yellow and blue half sleeved kimono top with yelllow obi, a darker long sleeved shirt and white boots that come half way up my lower leg. I shook my head and changed back into my previous clothing. tho I decided to keep the long sleeved dark blue shirt for those colder days. The last outfit was a silk red sleeveless kimono top decorated with a sakura flower print, black shorts, sleeveless fishnet top with soft black cotton outlining it. I packed my old crop hoddie and half tee near the bottom of the backpack and left my black shorts and current black/blue pair of shoes on.

Ryuji POV

I just bought myself something simple, a white tee and navy blue hoodie with a pair of black cargo pants and shoes the same color as my jacket. Shortly after short stack came out with an outfit change, instead of a hoodie and fishnet tee she had a red kimono top but everything else seem to be the same. 'Finally' I huffed, 'Girls always take so long to shop' I mean I'm no sexiest but every girl I've known had that moment; Anyways she paid for and then we left the clothing shop and I'd admit it wasn't that boring as I'd expected.

'You know what? This kid has made an impression on me but at the same time still the mystery. I can tell that even tho she accepted my company that a part of her still doesn't trust me. It's reasonable but still I wonder what happened to instill so much distrust into one kid.' I was starting to dye from all these unanswered questions probably she thought the same of me. I just know that for now I'll protect her and not fail like I did with Imoto.
