Chapter 3: Winter..

After a month of reading a hunch of Grimwars. That was the name of books that had a magic spell on them. I saw its name on the front of the Grimwar.

Anyway. Taming magic isn't so hard. I just needed to touch the monster's body and make a contract with it. I can adjust the contract and make me the master, of course, the two parties must sign the contract willingly or it will be terminated.

I wanted to make a contract with a monster in the forest, but... They are unique type monsters.

'I should just explore the forest. Wait, it's already snowing. Well, better luck next year.'

Over time I was in the forest. I didn't explore too far away as I felt like I wasn't ready to die. I tried to look further into the forest using magic and there wasn't anything interesting.

I felt a presence getting near my home and I looked at it in my window and saw a griffen coming near my house at an alarming speed.

"Why now? I'm so tired right now. [ Fire Tornado ]."

A huge fire tornado melted the snow and directly hit the Griffen. The Griffen used wind magic to blow away the fire, but he was still damaged.

"I'll end your miserable life, [ Wind Cutter ]"

A blade of wind was directed at the Griffen, but surprisingly. It used an AOE spell [ Song of Wind ] and it canceled the spell.

'Wait, it's already weird that a griffin is here in winter. Something is a miss.'

Griffins would have already been in their den and would never come out. Even if they're about to die from hunger.

'And that spell. Maybe...'

I then hoped that he wasn't like the other monsters. I went outside and fired a bunch of arrows at its wings.

"Hey, little one. You can either die or be my familiar."

"Eekk."

It then fired a huge gust of wind and was going to cut through my head, but a transparent blue barrier protected me.

"How unfortunate."

I kicked it off the branch without its wings. It could only rely on wind magic, but there is always a hoard of monsters beneath my house.

"*Sigh* I should not have gotten my hopes up. Now I'm sad."

I felt stupid for thinking it was different. I gave up on that thought and just went into my house.

During winter. I just studied and created magic spells. I used the Staff of Mother Tree as a basses and made a ton of Tree-type spells.

I didn't even notice spring was on my doorstep. The snow melted and the sun finally could be seen.

I wanted to go out, but I knew the snow monsters are still around and their annoying to deal with as their bodies could instantly regenerate.

'It's finally spring. What should I do this year?'

I asked myself as I looked at the wonderful view from my window. The tall mountains could be seen and the lush forest's scent was wonderful. The fresh air could be called nostalgic and wonderful.

"It's a new year. Mind as well as I try to communicate with other monsters. Maybe, just maybe. Please, God."

I used a spell to look around the forest and like usual. There were dead bodies everywhere and monsters were fighting everywhere as others ate the corpse.

"It's the new year, but it's still the same as last year."

I sighed a deep sigh and went back to bed to sleep.

By tomorrow. The snow monsters would have melted so I went down to my house. Of course, I first Ate some food and made preparations before I left my house.

There was a mountain I always wanted to go to because there were no monsters going in and out of it, which was weird, but it was too far away and I would need to go out for a week.

"Let's go there. It is a new year. Mind as well as I go everywhere."

I straight-up teleported the entire house into my sub-space. You all might ask. Where would I go number 2? It's an easy question. I don't need to go to any toilet as what I eat would either become energy or nutrition for my body.

"Let's go for an adventure."

I straight up ran to the mountain using wind magic as a boost in speed and made an oval wind barrier to protect myself from the gush of wind. The wind could easily cut me to shreds if I didn't put up the wind barrier.

Even with my speed at 100 Km/h. I still needed to run for one day to get to the mountain it didn't need to stop, but there were exceptional monsters like the Flaming Toad which spits out lava and its body is as hard as what it was stepping on and it was the planet so I needed to make it float up in the air and kill it.

'I've improved again.'

My mana capacity increased tremendously again so as my mana efficiency.

"Is this the S-rank body type? It's so OP."

By using the trees as my body part, I scanned the surrounding area and noticed a horde of monsters was in front of me. They were around 50 thousand, so I needed to take a detour to not die.

'You know what. F*ck it.'

I was still quite far away from them so I shot multiple arrows at them from a distance which shocked the monsters.

The arrows could be seen as a star coming at them from afar which was surprising, even for me.

'I guess the skills I learned were worth it.'

I also learned how to get skills. 1 by stealing it from another monster, 2 by earning it by making an achievement, and 3 by learning it from a Grimwar. Since I had a lot of Grimwars. There were a lot of skills that I learned. One of them was the skill [ Illuminating Arrow ], [ Flicker ], [ Argon ], [ Core Break ], [ Aura Manipulation ], and other f*cked-up skills.

Eventually. All the monsters died and I swapped places with one of my arrows. To begin with, the arrows were made up of my mana so it was easier to do this than walk.

"Should I try that skill? I mean it is super annoying when those pesky Dragons used it on me."

I manipulated my aura and raped it around the monster's corpse and I started to absorb their mana and life force. This was a skill called [ Devourer ] which would eat anything, depending on how well you use the skill and your comparability with the skill of course.
