Aito scoffed, shaking his head, not believing Haruto could speak like that. "You lost the right to look out for me the second you disappeared Haruto."

Haruto gasped in disbelief, staring at Aito like he didn't know him. He realised that Aito wasn't ready to hear a single word against Ryu and even if he would listen, it would be only after Haruto explained himself.

Guilting Aito would not work either. Aito had changed a lot. He wasn't that naive arrogant teenager anymore.

Haruto realised he had to come clean. The plans he made were already in shambles. "Aito, you know you're my best friend and I would never let anything harm you," he said. "So can you just trust me on this one? Listen to what I have to say okay."
