Chapter (2) THEFT Of A SpINDLE

One day a woman who guard the cottonfield spinning the pure cotton sprouts rolled into a cotton ball. Then taking that cotton ball she came back to the village.

When that woman reached the pond of Mahosadh, she intended to bathe. So putting the cotton ball on the clothes she got down and bathe in the pond.

A certain woman seeing that cotton ball desired to have it. So she said, ''Mother! Do you spin this yourself? It is difficult to do.'' Then pretending to look at it, ran away taking it.

The owner of the spindle getting out of the water followed her. Saying ''Why do you steal my spindle and run away'', she snatched her jacket. Woman thief also said, '' I'm going on a journey taking my own cotton ball. Why do you accuse me as a thief? Don't annoy me; recede,'' forcibly she made to go away. The owner also prevented her form absconding. So there was a dispute and the people came and surrounded them.

Mahosadh sent for those two women. On considering their gesture, appearance and characteristics Mahosadh exactly knew who was the thief and who was the owner. In spite of that, so the the people knew he asked the thief first, '' What kind of material do you put in as the basis of the cotton ball?''

She answered, '' I spin putting the cotton seed in it''.

After that he asked the real owner. She said, '' I put in the seed of the tree of persimmon in spinning the cotton ball.''

Mahosadh let the audience to remember what thay said, Then he unrolled the cotton ball, and found the seed of the tree of persimmon.

Woman thief could not deny and so, had to admist her stealing. The comparions and Mahosadh after admonishing let her go away.

The minister came to know and reported to the king. The King sent for Sanaka minister and consulted to fetch Mahosadh. The minister prevented in the same way as before. The King oredred to investigate again.
