Chapter 11. Steve and Nina.

Samuel approached me, having just spoken with Steve and Nina. Perhaps he obtained key insights on this matter. "We may be onto something" he said

(From Samuel's perspective, at the moment he finished talking to James.)

After we decided to split up, I headed towards Steve and Nina. At that moment, they seemed to be arguing about something, which was good for me, as it would be easier to start a conversation with them. Nina was speaking to Steve in a raised voice, gesturing actively with her hands. Steve, on the other hand, seemed to be trying to ignore her, which apparently only agitated her more.

I approached them with a slight smile. "Hello, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Samuel, but you can call me Sam," I said.

At that moment, the heated girl calmed down a bit and looked at me along with the rest of their group. "Hello, Samuel, I'm Steve," he said, extending his hand for a handshake. I took his hand and shook it firmly.

"This is Alexandra, but we call her Lexi," he said, pointing to the girl with the notebook. Then he introduced the girl next to her as Olivia, followed by Alice, and finally, Nina introduced herself.

"Nice to meet all of you. Can I talk to you guys?" I asked.

"We're having a little dispute here, but in principle, if the others don't mind," said the girl nicknamed Lexi, holding a notebook in her hand, possibly with the same habit as me, recording everything that happens to her, which will be useful for our case.

"Yeah, we're all good with it. Sit down," said the youngest among them, whom I understood to be named Alice.

"Please, have a seat," said the girl next to Lexi, named Olivia.

"Thank you, then I'll sit here," I said, sitting down next to Alice and Steve.

After I sat down, Nina, who had recently calmed down, began to communicate with Steve again, almost shouting.

"This is not right! You should have told him about his girlfriend. He stopped coming to the club after that, and now we can't contact her anymore. I told you a month ago to find her, but you still haven't done it. Do it now at least, because after you leave this world, you will be compensated for everything."

"You're so annoying. I told you, he was playing with her, she was running after him like a dog, so he didn't even try to introduce us properly. And she apparently lost interest in him quickly, why would she want to know that he's dead now? It's our fault that we left him alone and left the ritual without him. That's what you should worry about," he said with a roar.

From their conversation, I understood that they were talking about Emma's boyfriend, who had been told to us by her. Apparently, they left him alone, which means that someone was monitoring them, but did not participate in this ritual. According to Emma, four people were supposed to participate in the ritual with her, and considering that these two left, we have little information on this matter. We still need to find out if someone knew about the ritual.

"May I ask you, do you know Emma? She was in this club," I said.

"Do you know her?" Nina asked.

"Yes, actually, a friend of mine and I know her. She even recommended this club," I said.

"Really? I thought she was sad. Although maybe she doesn't even know about it," Nina said.

"So, what I heard was about Emma?" I asked.

"Well... yes, about Emma. From the beginning, I said it was wrong, you can only love one person in your life, and in the end, God punished him, although it was excessive," she said almost inaudible at the end.

"Can you tell me about that day, as Emma was sad, remembering it and blaming herself for leaving early?" I said.

"I want to say right away, even though I knew about her, as for me, it was right not to tell her about it, and I also ask you not to do it. " Steve said.

"And what about that day, he said that he was told about a ritual that could provide protection and the opportunity to make a wish, but as you can see, we didn't get anything, we just lost a friend," Steve said.

"From the beginning, I said this heresy was from demons and that you shouldn't expect anything good from it. So I'm telling you, it's better to come with me to church at least on Sunday. There you will get protection from God," she said.

"Calm down with your church. We told you not to come with us to this club if you're afraid of all this," Steve said.

"And I still can't find the one who told about this ritual. He said it was someone from the club, but no one ever admitted it. That's what's important, because only that person knew where and when the ritual would take place," he said.

" And what do you know about who told about the ritual you were talking about?" I asked.

"We only know that it was someone from the club, and as far as we understood, it was a man from this club, because Michael said 'he'," said Lexi, the girl with the notebook.

As I thought, we need her notebook or her help.

"If it's him, then we have six suspects excluding you, Steve," I said. "But why do you think he's guilty? Is it possible that he was killed accidentally? What did the police say?" I began to ask this group questions.

"Why? I don't know, it's just strange. On the day he found out about this ritual, he decided to conduct it and died, and maybe those who disappeared before that also died, because we haven't seen them for a long time. In just three months, 5 members disappeared, including Michael. Of course, there are still 3 who stopped coming, like Emma, but we know something about them, while others disappeared," said Nina.

"She already answered your first 2 questions, and as for the last one about the police, they said it was a robbery. But we don't believe it. I told the detective about our suspicions, but he said the case had already been sent as a robbery and he couldn't do anything about it anymore," Steve said.

"I understand, your point of view is worth considering. I'll leave for a minute to talk to my friend, and then I'll come back," I said, heading towards James.
