We were sitting in a street cafe when a man approached the table. Ordinary-looking, harmless in every way. This was one of Reddington's spies. He had been there when I had killed the first victim. He was so ordinary-looking that I wouldn't even remember him if I saw him on the street after a few minutes. We'd been waiting for contact in this coffee shop for half an hour. We had just ordered new coffees and were waiting for them when the man came in to talk.
He said to Magnum, "You two have skills. A friend of mine would very much like to meet you. Here's the address, two hours. Be there if you're really looking for who I think you are. "
The man handed me a note and nodded, walked away when our coffee came, and I took my cup and sipped it; Magnum drank his and was still silent.
The man left in the car. Magnum watched the man until the car disappeared from sight, and we finished our coffee. We would have time, as the address was not far from this place.
I had almost finished my coffee when Magnum shook his head and blinked. My vision began to blur, my thinking slowed, and I felt I couldn't lift the coffee cup; my hands were not working. I heard a thump, and I saw Magnum slumping against the table. I heard footsteps behind me and felt a prick on the back of my neck. Everything went black.
I woke up in bed, tied to the bed, drugged. I started to try to see where I was and, at the same time, to untie myself; they were tight, and whoever had tied me up knew what they were doing.
The room was dim, and a little worn, and I could only hear very distant bumps. This place smelled like an old abandoned factory; I smelled metal, old chemicals, oils, and equipment.
I also smelled the expensive cologne; it wasn't terribly strong, so whoever this was knew how to use cologne. I also heard his breathing and heartbeat, a human being.
I turned my head slowly as I looked around and tried to get myself loose, controlled myself as Adam had taught me, how the first thing is always to stay calm and see where you are and not panic and let the adrenaline flood wash away your sense, and, most importantly, keep your rage completely under control and be harmless, for as long as possible—not giving anyone a reason to do anything else worse.
Let's just say that I had few times practice this too. I was knocked out, usually by Damon, out of the blue, with powerful drug, only to be a wake up in bed, restrained and I needed to get out. Find out where I was and what had been done to me. All of this was part of my rage control regime.
A calm voice from the corner of the room said: "I'm sorry about this encounter, but you are a somewhat unpredictable woman. If you acted with my enemies, I didn't want to take any chances. I've heard about you and your reputation. And I did hear how you took those three men out of the game today. I'm surprised your looks don't match your reputation."
I swallowed to make my mouth a little moister and said, "Reddington, I presume? Don't worry, I'm not in the enemy camp. You'd think my performance today would prove it. I am what the enemy made me. A freak, a super werewolf, immortal, and yes, a killer. "
Reddington said: "I'm sorry, my staff has taken samples from you. Six-strand DNA. Well, you know this new law and what these bastards have been up to. You're a pretty unique creature, aren't you? What you will one day be capable of. I have got hold of some prophecies about you; there are several, but I haven't found everything. You have an interesting future, and I would be proud if I could help you on your journey, even walk with you part of the way, so to speak. We can work together."
His voice was calm and pretty normal. I could not get any accents on it. I let my pretender side come out. So I could get read on this one.
"I've got lists of those pharmaceutical company bosses, so there's work for you, and you'll earn money and commissions. Don't worry about your friend. He's fine in the hotel room. "
My head began to clear. This guy knows drugs. He came closer. If I had to come up with an actor he resembled, I'd say Jack Nicholson meets Clint Eastwood. He was a tall, thin, serious man. He probably came to mind more as a priest than a crime boss.
He came and sat down next to my bed and said, "Reddington's a good name. Everybody looks at the blacklist, and well, that name has an effect, you know. It's essential to have a name that has an impact. But let me release you so we can move on. I'm not Reddington; I'm not the inspiration for that TV show; it's all fiction; I just took my name from it. I don't think your name is the name you were given when you were born. You're originally from Finland, I know that, but history doesn't matter now. Only the future and cooperation matters."
He released me and helped me to sit down. "Well, is that better? I have to say that you are an impressive being; now that you're awake, you have charisma and aura, and that will be useful to you in the future."
I said, "Yeah, I don't always feel so damn charismatic. Strange, yes. You had some predictions about me. How can you be sure they were about me?"
Reddington stood up and picked up one of the scrolls.
He said, " This is an ancient Hebrew subgenre; not many people can read this, but this one says, " Her eyes are black like a berry to help you see. Her heart was broken, but it was mended. She has two lives, human and wolf. She needs a protector, and the protector must be saved; love is power, but love can tear a world savior apart. The protector does his work when the soul sings. Lust helps, but lust can also hurt. A new time comes when the guardian meets the protector; together, they help the world's savior. The savior is chaos and love; she sacrifices herself but needs everyone. The savior must not be abandoned, or the darkness will take her, and the world will fall into darkness."
He read on. It was a little haunting to hear this kind of stuff about me, but I listened intently and knew that now my memory was useful here.
"The savior finds friends to help her; she builds an army against the darkness. The protector cannot be part of the army unless he is saved. Evil can destroy an army, and a volcano can ruin plans. Even Mother Nature helps her when she calls in her hour of need. A warrior, a mediator, her soldier, her truest soulmate, her teacher, her army, she needs them all, but beware, her family can betray her and badly. She is the creature of love and sacrifice. Her sacrifice can bring forth her greatest love, but time can separate them. If the guardian chooses wrongly, the world will be renewed and the savior will get true happiness, but she will lose many in her life. "
Reddington put down the scroll. This was the first time I had heard that there were prophecies about me and tried to interpret them. The protector could be Damon, but what was the problem with him? And what fucking army would I start? Who is Mother Nature, and what would I call her? Why couldn't Damon be part of my army, and what the fuck is a volcano? Who the fuck is a warrior and an arbiter? And those others, my truest soulmate, teacher...
This raised more questions than answers, and Reddington said, " I have interpreted this to mean that I am the arbiter, I am the mediator between good and evil, and so according to this, I am supposed to help you, but these are vague at best, but they may help somewhere in between. Now, who is this protector because he seems to be a pretty damn important guy?"
I said slowly, "I have a feeling it's my boyfriend, Damon Salvatore, but I don't know how to save him, but it looks like we're together."
He was thinking and then he said, "these kinds of texts this is not only one, are important for you to know but maybe you can't change the future or you should but they will tell you if you are doing right thing, if your direction is right. "
I said, "yeah, it seems plausible, but it seems that I shall have quite a lot people in my life. And I have no idea who is who. But time will show me. Now, I am ready to work. "
Reddington nodded and said, " Now let me explain how my reward system works."
We talked for an hour. He explained how his target was neutralized. I had to get the subject into the alley, do the work, and then use this device that took a picture of the subject and recorded that it had no heartbeat. The device registered the target, and there was a reward.
The rewards would be paid into a safe deposit box, which could hold cash, stocks, drug samples, diamonds, and gems. Or they could be cash but I was opting on those boxes. At regular intervals, I would receive a list of where the safe deposit boxes were. I agreed to this because these were all nasty guys.
All these targets were people with no morals and no conscience. Just greedy for money and power. And when they really couldn't be brought to justice... They had tried a couple of times, and the judge dismissed the charges when the werewolves' three-stranded DNA was found.
They abused others, killed without mercy, and often out of curiosity or even boredom. This is something I would be prepared to do. And for a long time to come.
I said, "I'm in; I want to prevent anyone from having to go through what I've been through and bring these guys to justice. I know these guys cover their tracks too well and rarely are there people who are victims so that any charges can be brought. And when you can't find the facilities, you can't get the authorities or the press to see the truth."
Reddington nodded and said, "You must be hungry. Come on, let's have something to eat here. We have sandwiches and a drink. Your metabolism is so high you must need a lot of nourishment."
I then went to eat, and time to eat a few sandwiches and a glass of juice, when my eyes started to blur again.
Reddington said, " Sorry about the drugging, but it's safer this way. I hope you understand."
I didn't have time to reply as the darkness took me with it. I woke up in the car with Magnum driving.
He said: "Oh, you're awake. I think Reddington's on our side. You've been unconscious for two hours. We're nearly halfway there."
I mumbled something and got into a better position. " Yeah, he's on our side. Did you know that there are prophecies about me, that I'm called the world savior in them?"
Magnum grunted and said, "I do, and I know you probably want to talk to Damon or Adam about them, but I would say wait, try to think about what they mean first; why do they exist?"
I said, "There was a lot of talk about saving Damon and then me creating an army. Reddington and other characters were mentioned in there, too, but I don't know anything about anything yet. Reddington told me to use them as guides, to know that I am on right path. That I should not try to prevent or change but I would know that I was right track."
Magnum said, "As I said, think, analyze, and then tell if you want to. If you must save Damon, then telling him might not always be wise."
I said, "It was mentioned that family can betray me badly, but when my family is dead. I don't understand that unless it's referring to the pack."
Magnum was silent and then said, "No, because Nick and Elias are distant relatives on your mother's side, too, had a prophecy about you. Adam only mentioned it, but that clicked; they can and probably will betray you more than once."
Nice, more predictions, and I was related to vampires. New revelations kept coming, wondering if Damon knew about the prophecy. I was silent the rest of the way, rewinding things in my mind. I was trying to organize everything in my mind. To analyze. Was not that easy.
I had a business card in my pocket with a number to call when I started work. The number would tell me where I could get a listing and a registration machine. Only registered cases would get a commission.
I said to Magnum at one point, we were getting close to home, "Yeah, well, let's just say Reddington wasn't what I expected. But yeah, I'm on board, and I feel he'll give you gigs, too. He's pretty passionately angry at these guys and is not a character in the show. He just took a name from it."
I texted Damon and told him roughly what happened. I put in the principle of how the jobs were done and how bad the targets were. I also told him about the drugging. Damon promised to be there and take wonderful care of me.
When we got there, Magnum went to talk to Adam.
When Damon took me in his arms right out of the car and said, " Come on baby, I'll show you a few tricks I know," and took me upstairs.
He had carried me into the bedroom to the bed and said, " Undress yourself, and right now."
His gaze was hot and horny, so I took off my clothes. I started to get aroused myself.
He undressed himself and said, " Baby, I think you know the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That's the name of the game now."
Then he came next to me, so his head was in my pussy. I had unobstructed access to his dick, we were in the 69 positions, and I was trying to suck, lick, wail, and come because this boy was so good at licking my cunt that I couldn't help but say and beg in desperate fervor, "Don't stop, please god, just don't stop..."
He didn't stop. He made me come so many times; he came three times himself, and I was pretty full when he turned around, rolled over next to me, and we kissed greedily, sweaty, exhausted.
Damon just said, " Not yet baby, we're not going all the way. This is fun, controlling yourself. I wouldn't have thought so. Then Mimi, one day when I do it, it will be so amazing you won't believe it. I'll try to make it as memorable as possible."
We went into the shower together, kissing and touching, but we pretty much got ourselves cleaned up, though most of the smells were off.
There we were, doing tricks on each other that had us both sweating, panting, and satisfied by the end.
We went downstairs for dinner. Magnum had already left. I don't know where. I gave Adam a business card and explained to both of them in great detail how the gig went.
How I killed, what Reddington and I talked about, everything. But I didn't say a word yet about the prophecies. I told him everything else and tried to describe the place where Reddington had met me and how I woke up in the car. I also told him that Reddington's people had taken samples of me.
Adam was in on it. He saw it as a good job for me and was very pleased that Magnum and I were doing so well. When I mentioned the nickname Magnum had given me, Damon gave me a firm look.
In a cold voice, Damon asked me several times all the details about Magnum. He saw Magnum as a threat. He didn't want me to be with Magnum so much, and he was still a little unsure about the gigs, but we finished our supper and then went to bed. Now he just took me in his arms, not touching me, but then we went to sleep, and as usual, I fell asleep, safe, warm, happy even.
