"hmmmm" looking at my phone with a cute text displaying Marian love Mom, the time is five o'clock in the morning. It is still too early, and even the sky outside the window is still dark. I will just sleep for a few more minutes. SNOOZE

Five minutes later...

Looking at my phone again, it was still 5:15am. "hmmm" maybe later... I'll wake at five-thirty...

An hour later... "Ugh.. why is it so bright.." I brushed my face with a pillow to cover my eyes as the curtain at my window is flapping annoyingly and letting through the Sun's rays.

"Oh No!"

I jazzed up from bed and looked at my phone and it is already thirty minutes past six. The last button I hit was actually the Off alarm already since I have snoozed it countless times. If I was not hit by the Sun's rays that have made its rays through the curtains, I would have forgotten to wake up.

I slammed my phone accidentally at my side table to prepare when I heard a crisp sound.

"Oh No noo!!!"

I think I broke something. Picking up and looking into it, the LCD was indeed broken showing rainbow like glow on the cracks. I put my phone away again and clasped my hands together then rubbed my thumbs. After contemplating for a moment, I hurriedly jumped out of the bed and went to the bathroom.

My hair was a mess so I did a quick messy bun to remove them out of the way. I undressed myself and washed my face up to the lower part of my body. After some swift half bath I then brushed my teeth. There is no more time for soaking my hair, I will be late for school!

Hurrying down the stairs, as usual, I can smell Mama's delicious cooking, but I don't think I can eat now as it was already almost seven. Mom is going to scold me for not eating again for sure.

"Marian?"

Mom acknowledged my presence with visible confusion drawn on her face as I gave a rictus smile and while approaching to kiss her.

"Mom sorry.... muah! I don't think I can eat breakfast, I'll be late."

"Oh.. ho ho ho, So that is why you are wearing your school uniforms huh?"

"Huh?"

Then realization hits me, it's SATURDAYYYYY!!!!

So, in order not to waste my effort waking up early, Mom invited me to walk around at the Unity Park for some fresh and open air and she suggested we go together to a gadget repair shop after to inquire about the actual cost to repair an LCD after knowing about my phone's status.

Strolling through the area for a few hours, we noticed an unusual number of people today and most of them were wearing eyeglasses and wristbands of variating color. Some of them were even wearing cosplay and combat-like costumes.

"My my, is there any event somewhere around here?" Mom asked, noticing the same thing as me.

She glanced my way, checking if I'll be okay and I just smiled back at her, reassuring her that I am okay with the number of the crowd and I don't feel anything bad as of the moment so she just held my hand. I am actually just as curious as her so I kept on taking glimpses around.

"Nah, it's impossible dude! She was just making a fool out of us!"

I jolted after hearing someone suddenly blurted out. A man behind us was walking with his hands behind his head. He was talking while walking with another guy beside him. I sighed in relief with my hands in my chest.

As they passed us by, I regained my composure quickly and adjusted my pace to match theirs to listen and get any information about today's event.

The other guy chuckled and patted him on his back. "You sound so furious, how many times have you tried and have been fooled?" said the silly guy who was clearly teasing the other.

"As if you did not..."

Seems like they were talking about personal relationship problems, I better not pry with them.

We continued to walk back to our normal pace as Mom and I left both the men alone with their business.

Those two were just dressed simply with a vest tank, rolled up leg pants and sneaker boots with just a few accessories like belt chains and bands. Adding their build to their outfits, they perfectly look like adventurers. Just place both of them in matching adventurous settings and they are good to go.

The first guy was wearing the same glasses and wristbands while the other hung his glasses on his neck using straps. After taking a closer look, I realized that those were no ordinary glasses and I have heard of those before. If I'm not mistaken they were gadgets and they were what they call AR glasses or Augmented Reality Glasses, the counterpart of Virtual Reality headsets where the characters of the computer game can be seen in our world instead of us diving into the Virtual Reality.

But pondering, I think there was still something missing with all the people in cosplay outfit, they look incomplete.

"Pyrokinesis"..."Fireball!"

I paused walking after hearing something ridiculous and it made my mom stop too.

A man dressed like a magician or wizard stretched both his arms and did something with his hands. His left hand's gesture was like holding an ice cream while the right hand was open making his palm facing the other guy. He seemed to be like throwing something to the man dressed like a modern fighter several meters in front of him. That fighter man then jumped away from his previous position.

"Pft!" I covered my mouth after almost laughing. They were also wearing those AR Glasses and they look like children role playing. The fighter was a young man that looked a little older than me and was dressed casually like those two men awhile ago but he was wearing a black fitted shirt for his tops and that made him look neat.

There are many spectators with us that I did not notice beforehand or maybe they were also being drawn one by one by these two. With the number of the crowd, thankfully I did not feel any intimidation. I'm getting used to many people now, am I getting better?

Most of the watchers were wearing those glasses and cosplay costumes too and everyone looked so excited that it piqued my curiosity even more. I have seen a few people before wearing them even on our campus but today was the first time I spotted it being used by an unusual number of people. Is this some kind of marketing event for the gadget?

"Fireball! Fireball! Fireball!" The noisy guy kept on shouting with his arms stretched forward and the fighter guy continued to jump and run like avoiding some invisible attacks.

Both of them looked so embarrassing that it's so cringe. My lips and eyebrows kept twitching involuntarily, I can't express what I am feeling now for both of them. But was I the only one who found it funny and embarrassing?

I took a look at Mom and she smiled at me, I watched the others too and those with no glasses looked with curiosity, the others were visibly laughing at the sight of the two, yet the spectators wearing the glasses were cheering. Maybe those people with the gadgets are the only ones who can see some special effects?

The fighter guy was now running again towards the wizard but this time the wizard guy did not yell anything instead he placed his right arm down and retained the Ice cream gesture pointing to the other. But as the fighter was very near him, the magician cried out again.

"Pyrokinesis! Fireball!"

The fighter ducked, continued to run and did a back hand spring two times then jumped tumbling above the magician. Everything seems to slow down as I focus on every move the fighter man did. I was so amazed to see that there was a skilled man like him in real life that can do such amazing and unbelievable stunts. I can only see them on television drama series, movies and animes.

The magician was clearly totally astounded too like everyone else and that rendered him unguarded.

The fighter swung his hands from above as though he was holding something which I could not see and smashed it towards the other. The magician looked frozen then finally fell on his knees.

"Yohoo!!!!!!!" a loud cheering from the crowd followed after those breath taking moments. Some hugged each other while jumping, a few faces looked disappointed and the others gave money to another like they were betting.

Wait , what? Is it done?
