When he arrived a the gates of the town, various representatives of large guilds tried to recruit him which he tactfully declined, saying that the game had just started and wasn't thinking of joining a Guild so fast. Some even tried to lure him with promises of high salary and higher ranks... he was already rich with his family 5-star Hotels and gene therapy clinic and was certainly not interested into having more responsibilities into a guild.
"I got a lot of herbs and some alchemy materials, might as well look for the alchemy instructor and see how alchemy is in the game." Recalling his life when he was starting concocting pills at the Twilight Sect couldn't help but sigh in nostalgia.
The number of players stalking the NPC's was much lower, no one wanted to remain inside the town and went to explore and hunt monsters by now.
However, those who had business to do and those who focused on Lifestyle Classes gathered in the town square, it was something Leroy knew from he previous owner and it was basically universal in any game of the genre.
As he went to the square he saw, as expected, many Lifestyle players trying to sell their crafts, God's Domain held a large variety of Lifestyle professions and some could be acquired in the initial town, like the Blacksmiths, Alchemists, Chefs, Tailors, etc.
He sold 350 Rabbits Meat to Chefs players at 1 Copper each, they could cook them and sell foods for 3 to 4 Coppers.
The Rabbit Pelts were sold to tailors for 3Coppers each, he didn't find trouble selling the items because most combat players were still in the fields, and those around hadn't gathered high amounts of items.
With a brochette in hand, Leroy walked to the Alchemy Association while taking a bite. He arrived in front of a two-story building, one could see players leave the building in frustration, while some others stood outside selling herbs and other alchemy materials, the latter were part of Guilds.
As everyone was just starting, in-game money was a scarcity that all Guilds needed, so they had no choice but to sell some of the most common items in large quantities.
Leroy entered the building and an NPC receptionist walked to him. "Greetings, how can I be of help to you, young man?". said the middle-aged female NPC, she wore basic clothing from the Alchemy Association with an identity pattern on it.
"I wish to rent a room, please" Leroy politely said.
The various Life classes associations had different rooms where one could practice craftings.
"Great, we have two types of room, Basic and Intermediate. The basic room contains the minimum items necessary to craft basic potions. The intermediate room's facilities are better and increase the Success Rate by 3%. They cost 5Coppers and 1Silver coins per hour respectively."
"We can also sell you basic HP and MP potions recipes, these cost 10 silver each". Excitedly explained the receptionist
"I will rent a basic room for two hours, and I will buy both recipes, thanks" taking 20 silver and 10 copper coins he handed them to the NPC and it guided him to the room.
Selling junk items gave him 23 silver coins.
Inside the room were vials, bottles and other instruments used in alchemy. A fire was present which one could control in crafting.
Leroy took both recipes he just brought and learned.
System: You learned Basic Health Potion.
System: You learned Basic Mana Potion.
Health potion instantly healed 90hp points while the Mana potion restored 90mp points. They were much better than the Bread and Water that players initially started with.
He took a large amount of herbs which he gathered while farming in the forest and a dozen of fruits which he found in the top of some trees.
Following the process depicted in the formula, Leron started crafting potions, the window said that his Sucess Rate was 30%, only 3/10 tries would succeed.
Without surprise, his first attempt was a failure, while trying to craft according to the basic process he would try to replicate different alchemy techniques from the Twilight Sect of his previous life. High ranked ones resulted in utter failure so with each attempt he used lower-ranked alchemy techniques, he couldn't explain if the High ranked techniques failed due to the game system or his lack of stats, but then.
Successfully Crafted a Basic Health Potion.
Proficiency +1
Exp gained: 200
Proficiency (1/1000) (Basic-Apprentice Rank)
Most lifestyle classes rank would be divided into Apprentice ->Master->Grandmaster with each rank further divided into Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced ranks.
Under normal circumstances successfully crafting an item gave 1 proficiency point, one needed 1000 points to go from basic to intermediate rank.
This made leveling up Lifestyle classes an arduous and expensive class. It wouldn't be too much of a problem if one had a high success rate, but with even the basic potions had only a 30% rate of success.
He repeated the technique and crafted another 10 health potions in a row when he received a System Notification.
System: Congratulations on creating an Alchemy Technique. How would you like to name it?
"Hmm let's call it Sensations Alchemy Technique" He shamelessly put his name into the technique "Who would have thought, that kid's technique would be useful one day".
System: The technique will be called Sensations Alchemy Technique. Is it right?.
"Yes.
With this, a window showing the skill appeared.
Sensations Alchemy Technique
Alchemy Technique
A technique created by genius Alchemy Apprentice Leroy that improves the success rate of potion crafting.
When using the technique to craft alchemical potions:
Basic-Apprentice level potions success rate +70%
Intermediate-Apprentice level potions success rate +60%
Advanced-Apprentice level potion success rate +40%
Alchemy Proficiency +2
Seeing this left Leroy with a happy and satisfied smile on his face. "With this, it'll be much easier to craft and level up alchemy"
If any other player were to see this technique's effect, their eyes would instantly go bloodshot, especially players that followed the path of alchemy.
Their level would skyrocket and the amount of money they could make would definitely make them capable of competing with large Guilds by themselves, this, Leroy understood clearly.
He continued to craft potions until he ran out of herbs to craft HP and MP potions.
He also gained a lot of Exp, pushing him to level 3.
He then took the Vlaric Casting recipe from his inventory and used it.
System: You learned the Vlaric Casting recipe.
Vlaric Casting Potion (rare-basic)
A potion created by a legendary talented magician.
Can increase casting speed by 10% and Int by 5 points.
Duration: 30 Minutes
To craft this potion he took the dozen of fruits that he found in the trees at the forest.
Falling Moon Fruit (Rare)
Useful for crafting rare potions, a local fruit of Falling Moon Town's Forest in the Star-Moon Kingdom.
Along with other 2 common herbs, he was prepared to craft them, he noticed that although the potion didn't require a specific level of mastery to craft, he only had a 75% success rate including his alchemy technique, if any other alchemist would try to craft it, they would not have a success rate higher than 10%, if any.

Crafting Failed
He gained 1 proficiency point per success and another 2 from the technique.
In the end, he failed two times but ended up with 10 Casting Potions.
He checked his proficiency it was at (951/1000) only 40 points for the next rank.
His inventory now had 180 basic health potions and 127 basic mana potions along 10 Vlaric Casting Potions.
Only a few herbs which were useless by themselves remained so he choose to go outside and buy more and sell some potions.
As he stepped outside the building some players where offering herbs while some guild tried to recruit some alchemists into their ranks, seeing him coming out without a frustrated expression the latter immediately got close to him.
"Hello brother, I only need to take a look at you to know you are a talented man, would you be interested in joining us, Flying Crane? we are a rank-two guild looking to nurture an alchemist, so long your craft rate is good and sign the contract the Guild will focus its resources on its Alchemy Head. What do you say, interested?" a Berserk named AndMyAxe got close to him first and gave his offer.
"Thanks for your offer but I am not planning on becoming a full-time alchemist and only tried this out of interest" Leron replied casually, with his knowledge and technique a second-tier guild trying to recruit him would be no different from a toad lusting over a swan. Even more so, there was no Guild officially recognized by the system yet, if they didn't even manage to do that they could just keep dreaming.
Earing his replies the other guild representatives that were approaching quickly got discouraged and didn't say a word, just patiently waited for their next prey, one which would focus 100% their time into Alchemy.
He got close to the players selling herbs and went to the one with the best offer.
"Hello, I can buy your herbs or use potions to trade" Although potions were very rare as the game just started a few hours ago, he had them in quantities and would rather not spend in-game currency yet.
Luckily although guilds required coins, they also required potions and other consumables. Seeing such an offer shocked the Shield Warrior Player.
"Brother, what rate of exchange do you propose?" the Shield Warrior had a big smile on his face.
"I will give you 15 Basic health potions for 3 stacks of each type of herb if you have that amount" Leroy made his offer and watched the amusing face of the player.
A stack of herbs would contain 20 herbs, and each potion used 3 types of herbs. So he asked for 60 herbs of each type. These herbs could be easily found in the Forest nearby. With an average 30% success rate, players would be lucky to craft more than 10 potions, so his offer could be considered more than generous at this stage of the game.
"Sure, sure brother, we of Star Alliance won't lack those basic items" exclaimed with a prideful expression. Leroy sent him a trade request and completed the exchange.
"Brother, I just contacted the Guild upper management, Star Alliance is interested in buying any potion that you craft at a reasonable price. We wonder if you have a Guild yet? we can also gather lots of resources and focus on nurturing you".
"Thanks but I'm not interested in spending most of my time in crafting, I will have more potions for sale in a while" Leroy sincerely replied.
He knew that Star Alliance was a first-rate Guild. First-rate Guild were huge with tens of thousands of players and experts but from what he knew from the host previous memories, he looked down on them a bit.
They would just rely on a large number of players and corporative investments to have a higher advantage on others and dominate other games, while the truly capable players in the guild could be counted with one hand. For now, there was no need to join one.
Renting another hour in the alchemy room, Leroy continued to craft potions.

While he was checking his rewards a storm was created in all Star-Moon Kingdom due to the system message
Most players wouldn't have more than 35% of success when making the most basic of potions yet someone already ranked up!
Everyone went into a frenzy, all Guilds in the Star-Moon Kingdom immediately went into the search of Sensations.
Coming out of the building, he walked into the Star Alliance player and sent him a trade request without saying a word.
"Fifteen coppers per potion, how much would you buy?" He stated.
"Brother, we ain't lacking money we will buy as much as you have"
Putting 20 Basic Health Potions in the trade window, Star Alliance representative's face went pale, that was 20 potions! how could he craft so many so fast?! Could he be the Star-Moon Alchemy Chief, Sensations!?
"That would be 3 silver Coins" Leroy said while coughing
Waking up from his shock, the representative "Brother expert, may I ask if these potions were all crafted by yourself?" with a hopeful face.
In God's Domain, potions could only be produced by players and not brought at any NPC's. The low success rate of crafting classes at the moment made them very expensive.
But with a success rate of 100%, Leroy could only profit from this. The herbs necessary to produce a potion didn't cost more than 5 coppers while a potion could be sold at 15 to 20 coppers. As more players ventured the Forest, the price of herbs would only drop.
Leroy looked at him as if looking at a fool and answered "How could I possibly craft that many? I have an alchemy workshop and every one crafted them".
"I see, haha I thought that I would be lucky enough to meet Chief Sensations" he explained in shame, depositing 4 silver coins and confirming the exchange.
"Oh, the guy who ranked up, truly makes one feel helpless," Leroy said while shooking his head and walked away faking a dejected expression while rejoicing inside, 3 silver coins at this moment was a fortune that even first-rate guilds couldn't take out casually.
"Hmm, they probably found some Boss" he thought, otherwise they wouldn't be willing to spend this much in potions so early on.
