Unknowingly Crossed Paths of two Adventurers.

Townspeople stared at two figures as they moved towards a tavern not far from the adventure guild. One was a significant and tall figure wearing big dark armor, the other was a woman in a simple adventurer's garb and brown cloak. They were Ainz and Narberal had left the great tomb of Nazarick in disguise and they had just registered as adventurers at the guild in E-Rantel. Ainz having used Perfect Warrior to temporarily replace his magic caster levels with warrior levels. However, he had to use a create greater item spell beforehand just so that he could use swords in the first place as they counted as magic weapons that way. He could not use magic like this besides reversing the effects, but he could use skills at least. they were not the only ones who left though of course. Sebas, Solution, and Shalltear had left on separate missions to find out more information from the capital of the Re-Estize Kingdom Capital. As well as other things as well.

Ainz remembered what had happened shortly before they left…

He was in his office room, listening to Albedo give her a daily report. When he complimented her though and Albedo told him to take her in any way he wished Ainz apologized to her and told her that the feelings she had for him were due to him corrupting her. "Is that so wrong?" she said with a smile. Ainz's jaw opened and he said with a shocked tone "W-well no. but I messed with Tabula's settings…" Albedo held her hand above her chest "I believe my creator would forgive you. Like a father giving away his daughter." Ainz would respond nervously "Is that so?" Fortunately, his race's emotional natator kicked in again so luckily he did not say something else he knew he would regret.

And he was very relieved when Shalltear had walked in so he could distract himself from this conversation. When Ainz asked what Shalltear was doing here the vampire responded by saying "Why to lay my eyes on your exquisite form before I leave with Sebas." Albedo almost immediately said "You saw him. Now you can go." The two started arguing again and Ainz was just happy it did not escalate before he left with Narberal. The mission that Sebas and the others were going on required money and since there was only so much he could get by exchanging materials he went in disguise to become an adventurer. Because he had learned from the ones they took captive of the sunlight scripture that undead was not viewed anywhere near a positive light. Though he also learned the Slane Theocracy the captives came from believe in human supremacy above all other races so who knows for sure if they were being truthful about the wider new world.

Ainz, now Momon the adventurer, entered a tavern with Narberal, or Nabe the adventurer. They walked up to the owner, where Ainz asked for one room for the night. The man noticed the copper plate that indicated their rank in the adventurers guild and did not seem too pleased with them now. "Its ten copper pieces for one night, and it's eight per meal." Ainz would follow up on what the man said "That is no problem. Meals are unnecessary." He provided the coins and the man gave him a key. As they passed by some adventurers thought one of them purposefully held out his foot just so Ainz would stump it. "OW! Hey watch where you are going." the scumbag looked behind Ainz and to Nabe. "now my injury has to be treated by that lady over there." Ainz just laughed and replied, "What a poor attempt by a typical thug." The man was insulted but Ainz just effortlessly lifted him up by his armored hand and tossed him onto another table, where a woman, Brita, was admiring a potion she just bought only for the man to crash into her table and break her potion. 

Ainz turned to the thug's pals who were sweating heavily. "Hey! You ruined my damn potion!" Brita said with a tone and look of anger. Ainz backed up a bit as she leaned towards him "and said I bought that by cutting back on my drinking, and a few meals! You better be willing to pay for it." Ainz motioned to the thugs "You may want to ask them, Had their friend not tried to start something I would not have done anything." Brita looked at the other two thugs who looked away. 

Brita sighed "It is no use, they always waste their money on booze. Come on armored dude, you look like you might at least have a potion on you. I'd prefer a replacement rather than the money anyway." Ainz could see Nabe was reaching for her sword and ready to kill this woman. "F-fine, here." he would rather avoid conflict even if it would be easy for them, and handed her a healing potion, a red one. Him and Nabe left after that to their room. Brita was a bit in disbelief. Her potion was blue in color, but this one was all red. She figured she would take it to Bareare's later, as she had only ever seen blue potions before. Meanwhile…a brown-haired woman in fancy dress armor, along with a short elf that had a green tunic and pants under a dark green cloak entered the tavern as well. The elf had a mask covering everything but her eyes. 

Tanya had gone into disguise as a regular ranger, her only weapon shown was a bow, a strong bow. She could still access her magic rifles, but for now, they were hidden. She and Vikki had gone into disguise, while the Imperial Units' current plans were to build up a reputation as a mercenary company, she wanted to reach the highest adventure rank in the guild just because it would give her a chance to get missions that might lead her to Ainz. Vikki went with her since she looked human. Their cover was first, Vikki was the daughter of a wealthy merchant who wanted to become an adventurer, while Tanya was her bodyguard. Vikki at first pushed back against this idea, but Tanya could easily figure out it would be easier for them in the human kingdoms to have her be the one that "serves" the human. 

ikki oddly played the role of an overly optimistic spoiled rich girl Well, though Tanya regrets not giving her any rules for this role as she kept calling Tanya her "cute little elf." and she tried to get Tanya to wear a skirt instead of pants! Tanya would not really change her name, going as Tanya was a better cover anyway. As the leader of the Mercenary company, she would go by "Argent Silver" or just Silver, which would mostly operate within the empire which was why she went to the kingdom while in disguise.

Back in the Empire, Rerugen had used an illusion spell to cover his elven ears, while he, Zewuart, and Turavin made their way to a noble who had responded to their posting. All three were wearing their guilds uniform, Turavin was also wearing a special necklace that made his lower half look human, even if it really was not. Occasionally his lower hidden half bumped someone and when they turned to tell him off, Turavin would stare them down till they either ran or wet themselves or both from fear of his large and scary physique. Rerugen adjusted his glasses "Whatever we are hired for remember, we must do it perfectly." Zewuart nodded "Of course, I was only ordered to join you because Turavin…" The Centaur looked at Zewuart and the old-looking NPC just said "...just to watch you." 

Elsewhere Deimano was in a carriage wearing clothes that hid his demon features as with them hidden he just looked human. It was a bit wonky to wear a wrapped hat on his head, but for his creators Rerugen and Tanya, he would not complain about it. He was posing as a merchant and brought rare goods from the base to sell. He was also Vikki's cover "father" in case people asked questions. His task was to go to the Re-Estize kingdom's capital and build a reputation there as well as spread the Imperial unit name. The one guiding the carriage was Vestige, who luckily already wore clothes that hid his ghoul appearance. Both this venture and the mercenary one would help bring in money from this world, which they needed. 

Vikki and Tanya walked up to the tavern owner, who despite both of them wearing copper plates took one look at Tanya and said "Oi, no Elves are allowed here." People looked in their direction, except for Brita who was already halfway out the door. "I shall be outside then, Lady Vikki, please enjoy your stay." Tanya had expected this, but then she saw a look of anger that could match her own fear-inducing looks on Vikki's face. "Are you saying I should be without my bodyguard? Are you willing to tell my father why I was kidnapped later? He may not take too kindly to that." The tavern owner was already scared shitless. Vikki was angry that anyone would dare demand her mistress leave. "He can pay to have you disappear you know." The owner apologized and only changed them for one person even though they both would be staying in a room. 'Damn Vikki, I am impressed.' Tanya smirked, she may have had Vikki's personality and looks based on Viktoriya. But she was kinda of proud that Vikki knew how to make people fear her on facial expressions alone. 

When they go to their room Vikki bowed on her knees to Tanya. "I-I apologize mistress for my unruly behavior." Tanya smirked "No need Vikki, I was impressed. Just be more careful in the future, remember, here you are an overly optimistic adventurer." Vikki stood up and bowed again "I am thankful for the praise, Mistress Silver." Tanya sat on one of the beds while Vikki's cheeks went red and she held them "s-sharing a room with my M-mistress. I-I am unworthy." Tanya sighed and then smiled again "I'd rather have you here with me, Vikki." Tanya only said that to calm Vikki down, Through Vikki's eyes Tanya looked like a goddess while saying that. Vikki's cheeks only got redder as she mumbled many things that Tanya did not understand. 

"Hey what about me?" a small voice said as Tanya looked at the window sill. There was a fairy barely the size of her hand sitting there, she was wearing a ninja-like outfit that matched the colors of the guild's uniform colors. This was Yuukal, a fairy NPC made by Wilibald's reincarnation. She was the weakest in both physical and magical attacks, but she was made to be a scout so most of her skills were based around that and hiding her already small presence. "When we entered town I heard rumors of a potion brewer's grandson who could use any magic family. Find him and watch him for me, find out what you can and report back." Yuukal saluited and fluttered away. Meanwhile, Vikki was still muttering, only now she was grinning widely. Tanya sighed "Hopefully tomorrow will be better." 

Inside his own room, Ainz had taken off his helmet leaving his skeleton face uncovered. "Someone like you should not be staying in a place like this." Said Nabe with a look of disgust in the room. "We should not think of it like that Nabe, we are only copper-level adventurers. Till we become Adamantite level we might get strange looks for staying at fancier places." he tried to reason. That, and they had no money! He hoped to get a higher level as an adventurer soon so that he could get a better payout for jobs. The mission Shalltear, Sebas, and Solution were sent on alone burned into most of their funds. 

"Nabe, what do you think of humans?" Ainz had asked the same thing to Albedo when in Carne village. "They are scum." a straightforward answer that made Ainz's jaw drop 'not her as well!' what was he gonna do if none of his guardians or npcs saw Humans as nothing more than trash? What mess it would be if players were here but were of the human race!

The next day at the guild house Ainz was just staring at the job board while Nabe was nearby. He found he could not read any of it except the parts that had what ranks were required of the adventurers for each job. 'Crap, how am I going to find a job to do if I don't even know what it is?!' behind them Tanya and Vikki just walked right up to the front desk and the lady behind it.

"Hello there! I was wondering if we could get a very tough job. One for like Mithril level or higher please!" Vikki asked while Tanya looked over to the armored man and woman next to him, her eyes narrowed as the man grabbed a poster off the job board. "I am sorry miss, but we can't give such tasks to copper level ones." Vikki fluttered her eyes "Aww, please? I am willing to pay for it." She played to her role but the woman behind the desk shook her head. "Sorry, but I can give you the toughest job currently available for copper levels at least." Tanya cut in before Vikki could "That would be fine." 

Ainz, Momon's disguise on, placed the poster on the desk for an Adamantite-level job. "I would like to take this job please." The woman sighed "As I had just finished telling this woman and her elf partner, we cannot give you a higher-level job. I did already offer them the toughest job in copper level though, if you want you four can all take it on."

Ainz slowly looked down at both Vikki and Tanya. He nearly coughed, This elf had different clothes but she reminded him of Argent Silver! 'Could it be? Was she brought over as well?' There was no way they would run into each other this fast. However, he looked at Nabe, the NPC's only reaction to the human and elf was disinterest and disgust. Seems she did not recognize Silver, if this even was her. If this was Silver, she did not seem to recognize them due to their disguises. 'I wished I had picked a name that was not just a shorter 'Momonga!' crap, if that is your silver please don't say anything!' if Nabe was willing to attack a woman for demanding a potion of him, he feared her response to seeing the leader of the guild that nearly took them down. 

"HELLLOOOOOOO! I am Vikki Meino, this is my bodyguard Tanya! Maybe we could team up." Vikki said cheerfully as she was certain Tanya did not want an argument over one Job. 'Tanya? Maybe I just got confused by the similar hairstyle?' Ainz thought as he motioned between him and Narberal "I am Momon. This is Nabe. I suppose we do not have a choice." Tanya meanwhile was certain of one thing, this man was pissing her off, why? Because this armor was way too expensive for a copper plate! It was possible, that this was Ainz in disguise. But she would rather wait till she had confirmation.

"If you four want to team up, why not join up with us?" The four of them looked to a man leading another group of four waving to them. 

Not much longer later the eight people were sitting in a room above the main hall of the adventures guild. The new group was called the Swords of Darkness, they were all silver-ranked. Peter, Lukrut, Dyne, and Ninyan. They all seemed to be males, at least at first glance. Tanya grew suspicious though when they brought up how tough it was to be an adventurer as a female and how it could cause problems before Ninyan told them to stop. Vikki managed to latch on and use her faked backstory to say a line that made everyone both cringe and somewhat laugh "if you have enough members Gender is only a small hindrance." 

they also called Ninyan a prodigy, as they could use spells at such a young age. They knew spells that were high-tiered that would normally take most spell casters years to learn. They compared Ninyan to another person, Nfirea Bareare, Who could use any magic item. This got both Tanya's and Ainz's attention. Tanya was now reassured she did not send Yuukal on a wild goose chase over a rumor at least.

Lukrut suddenly asked "So, what is your two's deal?" he motioned between Momon and Nabe. "Comrades," Ainz said plainly. Nabe nodded as well. "Oh I think I am in love," he said while on his knees near Nabe. "Even with the elf and rich lady here your beauty is unmatched." Tanya felt the need to punch him for saying all of that so sincerely. Nabe however simply responded coldly "Go die in a hole with the bugs you belong with." Lukrut held his chest and yet still smiled as he said "Oh what a cold rejection." Peter sighed heavily "I apologize to all of you for my friend's misbehavior." While Ainz had said it fine so long as he refrained from doing it again, Tanya, with a very dark expression said, "If he makes comments like that again, I'll use him as target practice." Peter gulped "U-understood." The other members of the silver-ranked guild, especially Ninyan, nodded. 

Ainz meanwhile thought 'Maybe…this is Silver's cousin?' he thought as she sure did act like Argent Silver. "Since we will be taking a job together I should show you my face." Ninyan shook their head "T-that is alright. You don't have to if you don't want to." Wanting to prove he was trusting so that they would trust him in turn he used an illusion spell to make himself look human before removing his helmet, showing off a Japanese-looking face and hair color. Everyone, except Tanya, was a bit perplexed by the appearance as Ainz placed the helmet back on. Something which Ainz noticed. 

Tanya did not take off her mask, citing it was Vikki's orders, but she would regret that as Vikki said quickly "I don't want anyone except myself to see her cute face. Let alone that pervert friend of yours. Or that pervert old man in the armor." Tanya was blushing a bit under her mask and punched Vikki on the legs a bit for the comment. "H-hey I am not a pervert. Or old!" Ainz could not believe that despite covering up his undead appearance he was still called old. Nabe obviously looked like she would kill Vikki for daring to insult Momon. Vikki already feeling the murderous intent was ready to defend herself. Ainz lightly hit Nabe on the head to indicate to not do anything. Tanya did the same but once again on Vikki's legs. 

The group was preparing to leave after taking the job but then Ainz saw the receptionist from before. "Mr. Momon, someone has requested you specifically for a job." A boy came into view at the bottom of the stairs the disguised Ainz was on. "Hello, I am Nfirea Bareare, you're Momon correct?"
