The Dark Warrior and Shining Hunter

Tanya's mouth was open agape under her mask. 'Damn it, I should have given a thumbs down! Or just signed no! Damn it Vikki I thought you knew I wanted to stick to the plan' Tanya inwardly sighed, no this was her fault she gave positive a signal. She had really considered Ainz's offer, well Momon's offer, but wanted Vikki to say no. but now it was too late. But this could work. She would make it work. Meanwhile, Momon was a bit confused by what Vikki said, "Shining Darkness?" he said inquisitively. Vikki nodded "Yup! A combination of our group names. We could also do Hunters of Darkness. Or Darkness Shining. You get it." indeed, this NPC truly was Viktoriya in every way. 

Momon looked at Tanya, who shrugged. Personally, she did not care what they were called. "We can discuss that later. For now, we need to track down those who took Nfirea." Momon looked at Lizzie "I will ask that you leave the room for now. Either get some sleep or wait. We will bring Nfirea back by daytime if not sooner." the old Woman nodded and simply left them the back room. 

Momon placed down the map of E-rantel and the surrounding areas. "I noticed that the swords of darkness had their silver plates missing," Tanya said as she looked at the map. "I don't suppose either of you have Locate Object?" she had "locate humanoid" and other similar spells but she could not use it on Nfirea, mostly because she wanted Ainz to know less about which spells she had. At least the ones he did not encounter during their PvP battle in the game. "No. but luckily my previous travels granted me many prizes. Including spell scrolls." Momon dropped his bag, and while locked into "perfect warrior" Ainz could not use magic, he could still give other people to use. He tossed a few to Nabe. 

"use those. We also need to take precautions against counter detect. As well as the possibility of sense detection." if their targets could sense they were being detected they could move Nfriea before Momon and the others got there. Momon reached into his bag but Tanya held up a hand for him to stop. "I can cover those. I will use mine first." a move to help them build trust, if Momon and Nabe did all the work it would mean their deal before was pointless. However, a thought went through Ainz's head 'She does not have locate object but does have spells for making sure someone can't stop her or her allies from locating them?' 

Tanya first cast Fake cover and counter detect herself, making it so their targets if they had protection up would not be able to sense the plates they took being detected by "Locate Object." as he watched from behind the armor, Ainz thought of the document "Anyone can easily PK" written by his guildmate Punitto Moe. "Locate Object," Nabe said as she threw the spell scroll up, thinking of the silver plates from the adventurer group Swords of Darkness. She pointed at the map for the other three to see. "The cemetery? How creepy." Vikki said with a dim expression. 

"Next, Clairvoyance and Crystal Mirror so that we can see," Momon instructed and Nabe did so with the two spell scrolls, letting the others see what was at the cemetery as well. A mass of undead was there, a hint as to what they used Nfirea's abilities for. "We should get there as quickly as possible" Tanya pointed out. Momon nodded his head "Yes, the enemy has summoned a lot of undead. They are planning something and whatever it is E-Rantel may not survive if we let them fester." 

Before they headed out Momon received a message from the spell. Luckily it would only be heard by him due to how the spell works. "Lord Ainz, we have an issue." Momon would quickly reply "I will contact you later. Nabe and I have something we need to do." the four would set out quickly to stop Nfirea's kidnappers.

Some guards were by the gates of the cemetery. One of them yawned before saying "Another boring night it seems." it was not a big complaint that guarding the cemetery was a boring job, it was better than the constant danger of a monster attack that the outer gates or outposts had. But it was very boring. Unfortunately for these guards, their night was about to get less boring and a whole lot more dangerous. "Undead! Skeletons are making for the gate!" One of them yelled as they noticed the horde of skeletons coming from the cemetery and graves for the gate that kept them from the rest of E-Rantel. 

"No matter what you do don't let them get past the gate!" They used lances and swords to keep any of the climbers away but they were starting to be overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Especially when the skeletons combined into one giant bone monster. Luckily for them, an Arrow blew away a large chunk of them before a giant sword knocked them back altogether. "Do not worry, we shall take care of them," Momon said as he, Tanya, Nabe, and Vikki made it in time. The giant hamster had wanted to come with its "master" Momon, but after seeing how much Vikki was eying it with hunger in her eyes it opted to stay back and "bravely" defend Nfirea's grandmother. "Copper plates? But they are useless." the head guard said but Tanya approached and shook her head. "Rest assured we are the best for the job, you all focus on taking care of any straggler" she smiled "not that there will be any." 

Tanya, Momon, and Vikki jumped over the gate while Nabe used the "fly" spell to hover above it. The guards could only watch. "A-are you sure we can trust these copper plates? One of them was an elf." the head guard punched the head of the guard who said that. "We don't have any other choice. The adventurers' guild probably only had those four on hand. If we are lucky they can hold off whoever is causing this long enough for mithril plates to get here at least. For now men, we will do as they say. Stay on high alert and take out any undead you see approach the gate!"

Tanya and the others took care of the undead throughout the cemetery until they came to a crypt where cloaked figures were standing and chanting. One of them noticed and looked at their and whispered his name. "Khajiit" This did make sure the Zurrernorn core member noticed the adventurers, but the adventurers also could hear the men. Momon demonstrated by boastingly saying "Beautiful night for a walk, isn't it Khajiit?" 

Khajiit looked at the man who said his name with scorn and the man lowered his head. "Who are you four? Don't tell me you intend to even try to stop us." The Necromancer was sure his plan was going to succeed, even with these distractions, they were only copper plates. But he would rather they not impede the timing of his plans before a high-ranked adventurer got here. Tanya looked at Khajiit with annoyance "Well, we are here to retrieve the boy you kidnapped. Stopping you is just included in that it seems since you are using him for this." Momon looked a little past the necromancers at the crypt's entrance. "I also came here for the one who took the boy and killed those with him. If they care to join us." 

Clementine came out of the shadows. "Oh, so you noticed me. Staring at me so intensely from behind your armor are you?" Momon would respond daftly "mostly just the outfit under the cloak." Clementine teasingly wrapped her arms around herself "Ahhhh! What a perverted old man! Hehe..just kidding." Clementine moved her cloak aside and proudly flaunted her armor that covered only her chest and waist, all made out of ranked plates from various adventurers, mostly copper with others thrown in here and there. 

"So it was you." Momon looked back at the rest of his adventurer group. "Tanya, Nabe, Vikki. You all take care of the others I will duel this woman." He was not speaking like it was a choice, it was something he had to do. Clementine smirked suddenly "Tanya?" she would whisper, wondering if that little elf was the same one that foolish old man Souix had tried to call for help. She licked her lips "Very well, I accept your duel. Khajiit I wish to play with the little elf after I kill this knight. Keep her alive for me~" Tanya was disgusted and annoyed. They would kill these necromancers for sure now. 

Momon chuckled "I doubt you will get the chance. Come on, we will duel further away." Clementine eagerly followed as she was motivated by picturing exactly how slowly she would kill Tanya while mocking her later. After she killed this wannabe hero first. As he walked away Momon looked at Nabe and said "Watch out for what's above you." Nabe walked forward "I shall end this quickly," she said as she started to cast a spell. Khajiit evilly grinned "Please, what could you possibly do?" Nabe's hands sparked. "Twin lightning!" casting two lightning spells at once it overcomes the Necromancers instantaneously. 

The ladies watch as after a few seconds only Khajiit stands back up after the smoke and dust had settled. He was the only one to survive while the rest of the necromancers were dead. "You think that would easily kill me?" Khajiit was pissed off now but slowly he started to laugh as he lifted up the Orb of death, it shines in his hands full of the mana he filled it with the previous night. "Would have been easier for you if you did die." Tanya lifted her bow. Nabe prepared more magic while Vikki got her lance ready. "Gnats like you are better to die quickly" Nabe smirked while saying that. "Aww Nabe, don't take pity on our Enemy and compare him to gnats. I think a weed or some kind of useless unliving object is better." Vikki spoke so cheerfully as well. Khajiit just became angrier from all these insults from people who did not know his power!

Momon and Clementine walked a decent bit away. Clementine hummed while relaxing her arms behind her head. "Are you mad because I killed that girl and her friends? Your friends were too weak to entertain me anyway." Momon did not even look back at her and only said "They were not my friends. Just temporary allies." Clementine was dejected "Aww." she was only upset because it meant she could not tease or mock him more about those four, she wanted to fill him in on all the details about how she tortured and killed Ninya as well.

Momon stopped far enough away that they could still hear the other fight, but too far away for either group to see one another, especially with the foliage in between the paths. "So what kind of warrior are you?" Clementine asked as Momon lifted his two large swords. "

Your friends won't beat Khajiit. But even if they do, I will just swoop in and stab their pretty little faces in~" Clementine mocked while holding her cheeks. "And you cannot win either. As of now, there are only four people in this kingdom who can stand on equal ground power-wise. Two adventurers, like the leader of Blue Roses. The others would be Brian Unglas and Gazef Stronoff." Momon was not sure who the others were but if they compared to Gazef then he was not worried. "I see then I will give you a handicap," Momon said bluntly which just made Clementine a little annoyed. 

He ran towards her as she began dodging his weapon swings. Sometimes easily while other times she just barely got out of the way. "So you're just another meathead who likes to swing big swords. Are you trying to insult warriors?" Clementine did not sound pleased. Momon pointed one sword at her "All you've been doing is dodging, can you even close the distance between us to hit me?" Clementine smirked and pulled out her pointed Stiletto's. Ainz was a little amazed as there were no such weapons in YGGDRASIL. The two heard a large screech and saw a large Skeletal dragon. "Now your allies really are dead. Especially if they rely on magic because those Skeletal dragons are immune to magic." Momon chuckled "I am not worried about them. I would worry about yourself."

Just as Nabe, Tanya, and Vikki were about to attack Tanya suddenly heard a noise and Nabe remembered what Ainz warned her about "above her". Nabe quickly shouted "Move!" the three managed to get out of the way before a Skeletal dragon swooped down and somewhat destroyed the stone path. "Hahaha, good luck using your infer magic now. The Skeletal dragons are immune to all magic." Khajiit mocked his opponents. But none of them were worried. Nabe tightened the sword holder around the blade while Tanya and Vikki just got their weapons ready. Tanya quickly fired arrows which easily broke apart one of the dragon's wings, while Vikki and Nabe hit both sides of the dragon's face with their weapons. 

"Ray of Negative energy!" Khajiit quickly used a spell to heal the undead. "This isn't over yet!" he quickly used "acid lance" to try and get a surprise in but Vikki easily deflected it. With little choice left he started buffing the Skeletal dragon. Nabe and Tanya started doing the same with Tanya also buffing Vikki. "I don't care who you are. I'll make sure all three of you are dead!" using the last of the mana the Orb of Death had left KHajiit summoned another Skeletal dragon. 'It's a real mess using up all the negative mana I collected. But once undead fill E-Rantel I should have endless amounts.' 

Tanya sighed because this was taking too long. "Nabe, how much do you know about Skeletal dragons?" Nabe looked a little surprised by the sudden question "basically everything for personal reasons." she could not just give away the information that Nazarick had. But she was further shocked when Tanya then said "Then stop playing around. Lady Vikki, I suggest guarding her so she can take out the left skeletal dragon. I shall take care of the other." Nabe gave a look of uncertainly "By yourself?" Tanya looked at Nabe "So long as you're confident you can deal with other Skeletal Dragon." 

Nabe nodded and so Tanya quickly avoided a swoop from the first Skeletal Dragon and slowly started approaching the other while Vikki stood in between Nabe and the first one and protected her as usual. Khajiit smirked widely "All by yourself? How sad to walk to your own death alone! Attack now!" The dragon went to slash Tanya with its large claws. "Greater Repel undeath," Tanya said quietly while raising her bow to the hand, instantly The claw was deflected and the Skeletal dragon roared in pain. "W-what? How?" Khajiit was of course dumbfounded, one of the strongest undead summons, and Tanya just basically shooed it away. 

"Feels like you keep forgetting your place. And just how great the gap between us is. You worthless worm" Tanya insulted Khajiit this time. Knowing Ainz's race Tanya had prepared many spells for encounters like this. She used a spell that increased her luck before pulling back a bow. "I'd say burn in hell Necromancer. But I don't believe in such things. So just die." her eyes shined and due to her mask it was the only part seen. The reason Tanya increased her luck was to raise the chance of the next spell working, which was a spell that had a percentage change to destroy any undead so long as they did not have Turn resist or similar buffs. 

"Sleep to the Undead," Tanya said quickly as instantaneously the Skeletal dragon was destroyed and crumbled into a pile of bones. Sweat and snot dripped down Khajiit's face as he noticed Nabe preparing another lightning spell. As Tanya pulled back another arrow, this time for the Necromancer, she said "Just in case you're wondering. The Skeletal dragon is only immune to level six spells and lower. Any higher and they are just as vulnerable as any undead." Khajiit despite just seeing this elf destroy one dragon in a single hit said "B-but there are no people in this world who can naturally use seven-tier magic." 

A large deadly smile appeared on Tanya's face which made Khajiit back up from fear. "Poor man. You'll never see what true power is like, having tried to claw for it your whole life." in the background Nabe shouted "Twin dragon lightning!" much like the second Skeletal dragon the first was destroyed by the two seven-tier lightning spells. Khajiit shuttered as Tanya pulled back the arrow. 'All my hard work. My ambition. How could it all be ended in one night by low-ranked adventurers?!' the arrow went through his head, taking out the remainder of his HP. 

Clementine licked her stilettos, each was enchanted with a spell for extra damage when she activated them. crotched down before launching herself towards Momon. He swung a sword down at her but she quickly activated a martial art "invulnerable fortress." it deflected his attack despite being stronger she quickly tried to pierce his arm but his armor protected him. It was stronger than she thought. "Martial arts huh?" Momon said as he thought of what she would do next.

"I suppose I will have to aim for weak points," Clementine said as she focused on his helmet, seeing a good place with the eye window. She ran at Momon again, quickly using an invulnerable fortress to deflect another attack. "Flow acceleration" She used this to maneuver in a way near impossible for humans in order to dodge both swords at once before stabbing into the helmet. But she found that again it did nothing. After she backed away Clementine was not sure what went wrong. 'I could have sworn I should have stabbed him through the eyes.' she thought to herself. 

Momon meanwhile was getting some knowledge of how combat worked here. "You need a careful use of each technique and martial art to ensure the best outcome huh." Clementine shook her head "What you didn't already know that? You really are a newbie adventurer." she grinned creepily as she crotched down "Greater ability boost. The pace of the wind." activated two of her martial arts to boost her abilities and then with much greater speed ran around Momon. 

A sword very nearly got her but "greater evasion" allowed her to move in between his arms with ease. She quickly stabbed one of her stilettos into his eye before stabbing the other in as well. She activated the lightning enchant first before giving one last surprise with the fire spell. She was sure she killed him now, she grinned happily, hoping Khajiit had not already killed Tanya yet. 

"I see," Momon said as he pulled one arm around Clementine's back preventing her from escaping this time. "W-what? How? Let me go!" she struggled in his arms, confused and very pissed off. Her weapons were very much in his eyes! He should be dead! "Well since You're about to die I suppose I can let you know." Ainz momentarily dropped perfect warrior showing off his undead appearance. "W-what? A greater lich?" while that was not what Ainz was, it was the closest thing Clementine could compare him to. No wonder her attacks had not killed him! She could not even deal a lot of damage to him without the proper buffs.

Ainz pulled out the stilettos as Clementine continued to struggle in his bony arms. He was sure that Nabe would make sure to keep Tanya away from following him so he was fine letting his true appearance known while he killed this woman. "Had you been any weaker I would have killed you with this." He summons a crystal knife before just as quickly un-summoning it. Clementine quickly realizes his arm is closing around her, slowly crushing her insides as her breasts are pushed more against him and soon the rest of her body as well. "Though I suppose crushing, stabbing, cutting, no matter how you die it is all the same." 

"You undead bastard!" Clementine started punching his face. Clawing at him. And even biting him. But all that resulted in was blood coming out of every limp used to hit him and broken teeth. The plates from the adventurers she killed fell to the ground as her body was slowly crushed. "I suppose I should end this. But this slow death is what you deserved. You did take your time killing her after all." Ainz lifted his other arm and brought it around before using its strength as well. Clementine gave him one last look before the extra strength forced blood to shoot out of her mouth as she fell back dead. Ainz dropped her corpse and activated Perfect Warrior again just in case. "It's more than you deserve." 

Tanya was convinced to stay outside while Momon got Nfirea from the crypt by letting her take what the Necromancers had on them, a small loss. Once inside he once again dropped Perfect Warrior to get Nfriea. The boy's eyes had been cut out and he appeared to be controlled. 

"I can fix his eyes. But the mind control seems to be caused by this." Ainz looked at the crown that Nfriea had on his head. "Appraisal all magic item" Ainz was able to see it was a unique item to this new world, it was the crown of wisdom and he could see that for its benefits it also had a very big drawback. It would kill Nfriea if it was removed so the only option was for Ainz to destroy the item, a shame since it was not something replicated in YGGDRASIL as well. 

As Ainz lifted his finger he thought 'I would love to take him to Nazarick to study. But I accepted the quest, it would be reflected poorly on Ainz Ooal Gown if I did not complete it. plus…Tanya is still out there.' he used a spell to destroy the crown of Wisdom and Nfriea fell on him. When he exited the Crypt he had his armor back on and held Nfriea over his shoulder. "This means the quest is completed don't forget our deal Momon." Tanya said clearly but then Momon followed it up with "I believe Vikki was the one who made the deal." Tanya's ahoge twitched but Momon chuckled "I always keep my promises to teammates. Don't worry." Tanya grumbled under her mask "Good." 

After they reported back to the guild and turned in the bodies of those responsible all four of them were ranked up to Mithril and given new plates. In Ainz's private room, Nabe was not okay with only Mithril. "It is an insult. Only Mithril? You deserve much more lord Ainz!" after removing his helmet Ainz waved a hand in front of him. "No, it's alright. Those guards will also spread out names out there. I am fine with this outcome."

Yuukal flew from Ainz's room to Tanya's. She saluted and said "Commander Silver, Ainz has removed his helmet…oh um…" The fairy's face went pink when she saw Tanya laying her head on Vikki's lap. "Don't say a word. Vikki wanted this as her 'prize' for doing a good job." Tanya said with a darkened expression. Vikki hummed happily as she stroked Tanya's hair. "U-um…" Yuukal tapped her tiny fingers together "D-did I do a good enough job to warrant asking if I could lay on you?" 

Tanya deeply, very deeply, sighed. "Fine. you can do it while you give your report." Yuukal shouted, "Yay…I-i mean yes Commander Silver!" Yuukal flew to Tanya's chest and would lay there. Vikki had not even noticed Yuukal as she was stuck in her own personal heaven. Tanya thought 'I am heading back to base after this, I need a breather from…all of this.'

Inside Ainz's room, he remembered he needed to message Albedo, he remembered earlier he was contacted about an emergency, and he assumed it was about Aura and her encounter with Tanya. "Message" he used it to contact Albedo. "Sorry about before. How is Aura?" for a moment there was silence before Albedo spoke "r-right. Aura is alive and well. Shaken for sure but we have a more dangerous emergency on our hands." 

Albedo would say, in the most serious tone she's ever spoken in, "Shalltear had revolted against us." Ainz's eyes became hollow for a moment "What?"

In the Baharuth empire Rerugen was walking by crowds of people, he was on his way to collect information for the next job for the Mercenary company. He was being followed by a hidden figure who was hidden in an alley. "Don't sneak off away from me this time" a voice said from behind the first figure. 

"I am being careful Quaiesee. This man is wearing a similar outfit to the one who killed my father." the girl could barely keep herself from yelling. "I can see that he is wearing a similar outfit to the one described but we do not know a lot about this Tanya. For an elf to easily take out your father, she must be quite skilled. So be calm while I figure out how we can more carefully follow this man." the girl started to move before he was even finished speaking but luckily he managed to pull her back. "I mean it, Mary. I only agreed to help you because I know you would come here without thinking regardless. But you still need to work with me."

Mary clenched her fist "I know. Fine, you can lead this. But no matter what, I am killing the elf who killed my father."
