Chapter 38: In Which He Slips In

Isla waited on the bed staring at the open window with anticipation, the food laid out on a small table on the bed. The aroma of Mac n cheese teased her nostrils, but she didn't dare start eating without her boyfriend.

Finally, exactly as he promised, he slipped in through the window ten minutes later but the huge grin that was plastered on Isla's face faded when she saw Alexander's mangled face and she would have run to him if it wasn't for her bad foot.

"Oh my god Alex, what happened?" She asked, her features contorted into pure horror.

Alexander had expected this.

"Don't freak out baby it's nothing too bad just a punch" Alexander tried calming her down as he approached the bed.

she crawled right up onto his lap and straddled him, grasping his face delicately in her hands as she traced his cheekbone lightly. Her eyes already watering making him groan, he didn't wanna make her cry.
