Neo was surrounded by the pack of white beowolfs. She held her umbrella firmly in her hand ready to fight, one of the beowolf charged her but she dodged it then impaled it on her umbrella. The grimm disappeared but a second attacked her from behind, she dodged by doing a backflip and turned towards her attacker.

Suddenly the beowolf stood on its two hind legs, flames covered its claws as well as its forearms. Seeing that, neo's eyes widened in shock, she had never seen grimms like that able to do that kind of thing.

The other grimms also covered their forearms with flame and jumped on neo at the same time. She managed to dodge and counter most of their attacks but one of the beowolf attacked her in her blind spot and slammed its claws down on her. Seeing the hit comming neo could only put her arms in front of her to protect himself.

A very fine red ray appeared and pierced the grimm's skull, which fell heavily to the ground. Neo, who notices that she received no blow, lowers her arms to see the grimm dead on the ground.

All the other beowolfs suddenly stopped and turned towards the source of the beam. Neo seeing the Grimms looking in the same direction looked back and saw Ayden standing in front of them, his finger pointing at the Grimm who had just died.

Neo looked at him with a completely surprised expression. Who was this guy, what was he doing here and why did he seem so familiar? She thought for a moment before remembering seeing him working at the junior night club when she went there from time to time with Roman, but that still didn't explain what he was doing here?

Ayden took support on the ground and jumped above the grimms to land right next to neo.

Ayden: Sorry to intrude like this but I would like not to miss a chance to increase my strength if you don't mind.

Neo looked at him with a confused look before nodding.

Ayden activated his gloves and Neo drew the blade of her umbrella and they both took their fighting poses back to back.

Ayden dashed towards two beowolfs, activated his Mod ice gloves and grabbed them by the neck then froze their heads and slammed them into each other breaking them into several pieces.

Neo rushed towards a grimm who tried to attack her, she slipped under him dodging his blow and cut off his leg before impaling her blade in his skull.

They turned to the last Grimm and simultaneously charged at him, Ayden created a blade of ki and stabbed him in the stomach while Neo stabbed him in the back then sliced ​​him in half.

Ayden's mind: "Good thing done, even though I haven't fought much I can feel a slight increase in power, I have to beat a fair amount of grimm to get a decent amount of power."

Myo: During your fight I could sense the source of the magic coming from those grimms and it looks like they have altered magic."

Ayden: Altered magic?

Myo: "Yes, I can feel the magic but there is something more to them...."

Ayden: "Strange..."

He realized he wasn't alone and turned back to neo who sheathed his blade in his umbrella.

Neo looked at him and with a mischievous smile she walked over to him and grabbed his collar with the wrist of her umbrella pulling him towards her and kissing him on the cheek. After that she released him and took a few steps back before giving him a wink and disappearing thanks to her semblance.

Ayden: "Really strange...."

He decided not to pay any more attention to this and flew off again in search of a new safe place.

He flew for quite a while, fighting any Grimm in his path that Vigil spotted in order to maximize his strength, resistance, and aura pool. He was really lucky to have such a useful semblance.
