Chapter 144: The Kingdom-Wide Interview

Chapter 144: The Kingdom-Wide Interview

~Third POV~

The appointed night of the dance was soon coming to a close with students glancing around some tired and some waiting for the day to arrive.

Tables and chairs were soon provided with each Headmaster Ironwood, Theodore, and Lionheart each taking their chairs with Ozpin soon coming to the center of the stage dance with robot droids filming the event for anyone to see on their Scrolls or TVs.

Team RWBY and JNPR along with Penny soon took their spots on the other side of the table sitting on chairs with the Headmasters each taking their spots on theirs with Headmaster Ozpin to begin things, "Attention! Students of Beacon before we come to a close for the night we and all the Headmasters present would like to humbly begin the Kingdom-Wide Interview with the Heroes of Remnant!"

"AHH!"

"YEAH!"

Cheers began to be present from not only the students but also from the audiences at home witnessing everything today.

Ruby for her part is nervous talking to her friends acting the part, "Oh… this is very embarrassing and exciting to be on the big screen! It really makes me nervous to not mess this up…"

At this Yang placed her hand with Ruby showing a cheerful grin on her face as she spoke with confidence to her, "Oh cheer up Ruby! We'll just be questioned about some things that happened. Just got to grin the fear away see!"

Showing her point Yang grinned making Ruby chuckle at this while Blake and Weiss talked amongst each other about having family problems seeing them and being worldwide called as 'Heroes of Remnant' along with the trouble to soon come from the fame.

Everyone around Remnant was watching it on the screen as this was a highly anticipated event to have happened Menagerie has surely heard the news but hasn't reached far but thanks to the CCT provided by Future Foundation they are able to participate in The Kingdom Wide Interview.

When everything has been done Ozpin soon began to sit down with his fellow Headmasters as he began to speak out to everyone listening, "As each Headmaster is here from the four Kingdoms Vale, Vacuo, Atlas, and Mistral we each represent the Council Members that can't be here today. So, in their place, we will ask the fellow heroes what they did and have done to battle such a dangerous threat as such like Starro and against all odds and won."

Everyone nodded in respect for the team that have done so much and won against what was possibly the biggest threat all of them could ever face.

Like so the questioning began from the Headmasters as per the Council's request like the usual of their experiences.

Each of them described prior to what they were doing followed by how terrified, scared, brave, courageous, and determined everyone single member of the group described them out to be of their exchange with each Headmaster explaining everything from the Council Members' side and some personal questions.

All of them gave their honest reply to them as best as they could along with some fun puns followed by groans of others and laughter at the site.

Tai and Summer were both looking in front of the Tv with Summer's eyes widening glancing at Tai about the whole event, "What?! My little girls fought against an alien god when I was in a coma and became heroes!?! Tai what the hell!"

At this Tai could only scratch behind the back of his head shyly away explaining to Summer grabbing her by the waist, "Hehe… sorry? But how was I supposed to know that our girls were going to fight against an alien god? But I'm sure as proud being their father!"

Soon a question was asked Ruby and Yang how they felt through the whole ordeal Ruby being cheerful explained to Ozpin the question, "Honestly really scared… I personally don't want to go through that again. But… as my parents did I have to be a hero at times to help save people. It's what a Huntress does and I thank my mom and dad for showing me how to be brave at dire times even when I'm scared."

Summer could only cry at the scene of the questioning of her daughters with tears streaming down her face as her eyes get watery, "Sniff…! I miss my own children growing up but… I'm glad I'm able to meet them again after so long… and long enough for them to become something greater… they make me proud."

Tai could only swing his arm over Summer agreeing to wonder what Raven is doing…

Elsewhere in Mistral Kingdom open plains with a wooden defense sit down a woman listening in to the interview with interest in her red eyes.

Her outfit consisted of a V-neck black and red wrap style top with a black pleated skirt that has black shorts underneath, with a series of beaded necklaces. She also wears a red obi sash around her waist alongside a red tasset wrapped around her waist that carries her weapon's sheath.

Attached to it is a long black object that is either fur or feathers, with a red and white bandana material hanging from behind her. Her forearms bear red armored gauntlets that protrude outwards and black fingerless gloves. She wore black mid-thigh high boots, that had armor plating with red splatter patterns and black heels. She had long black hair and bright red eyes.

Yang at this time spoke out with tears coming off from her face as she began to reply to Ozpin's question, "The same with my Lil sis. Honestly, everything has been a hurdle to get to the point where we are at. But with all of our friends and those not with us today we overcome the odds before us. Together remain strong."

This woman is Raven Branwen as she looks closely at the interview with a narrowed view at the heroes mumbling to herself, "Tch… you did good Yang… maybe even better than me if united but alone you are weak."

In another part of Remnant steadily viewing the Tv screen in Atlas was the Schnee family each off listening and viewing the interview for their own interest.

Next was Ironwood talking to Weiss about her experience of dealing with the Starro event of how she felt through it all, "After everything has been said and done all I could say is we got off lucky. We had to pull everything we had to win leaving all of us with the experience we all faced, and I say it was rather… refreshing one would say. Nothing but a common threat will compel everyone to join as one against a common threat. A sense of unity to rely on each other against impossible odds and I wouldn't have it any other way with this group of people I can trust beside me."

Jacques is in his own room watching the scene in mild interest thinking of what to use Weiss's fame for himself and his company along with Whitely viewing and understudying his father.

Winter was taken time off as she views the interview from Atlas Academy with a smile on her face seeing Weiss speak up, "Good on you Weiss. I see you are finally getting better at summoning and finding your own way."

Willow inside her own room watches as her daughter Weiss talks on about fighting with the people beside her friends drinking a cup of wine mumbling to herself, "Sigh… Weiss you really outgrown and left me… but thanks… you really look up to my father... hiccup..."

*Gulp*

Taking a sip of her wine Willow listens closely to the interview being somewhat bit drunk.

In Menagerie the Faunus watch the interview with interest along with Blake talking about her time with her friends helping each other with the fight against Starro.

A White Fang member, she wears a Grimm Mask with chameleon horns on it to hide her identity. Her mask also points upward at the top and extends past her hairline; this resembles the crest of a veiled chameleon.

She wears a black, gray, and dark gray sleeveless stealth suit with short legs that resembles a playsuit with black trim around the legs. The color divide is at the center of her thighs. The stealth suit's zipper is gold, and over it, she wears gray belt straps with gold buckles. She wears black calf-high boots that are folded over and a black glove on her right hand.

The next question from Lionheart to Blake about the same experiences they faced as she sighs and responds to him how she felt, "Scared. When we first thought of against Starro our immediate concerns were trying to gather allies but when we learned they were all compromised or even telling anyone would seem crazy to others. We all were afraid of what was to come and the burden we had to carry that made me want to run but…"

This person is Ilia Amitola as she views the interview stary-eyed with Blake but scowls at the rest of the humans especially the Schnee with her, "Blake… why did you leave me here and abandoned the cause… but you are doing this for the Faunus... Blake what would you do in my place..."

Continuing Blake's interview with Ghira feeling prideful seeing her daughter follow his example and Kali crying up happily seeing her daughter alive, "… we all knew we couldn't because if we did, we would risk a future were all enslaved. It wouldn't matter who was enslaved Human, Faunus, or Grimm. All would be at risk so we all chose to fight. I won't let such a risk for the future stand like that. Not while we are all alive to have a chance to make a difference."

However, elsewhere in Menagerie inside a tent discussing business with 2B, A2, and Jack's clone the Belladonnas soon see their baby girl Blake with Kali speaking up with tears streaming down her face, "Ghira look! Our little kitten is fine and safe as well as a hero of Remnant! Sniff… she makes me proud to be our daughter despite how in the past she acted."

Ghira glances at the video while A2, 2B, and Jack waited patiently letting Ghira go through the papers and see the video as he smiles seeing her daughter safe, "Yes Kali… I see our little kitten is making some friends. And you… Jack was it? I thank you for how you took care to see our little girl be safe through the troubling times."

Jack's clone agreed with a nod and smirk on his face.

Like that they all continued to talk more about the business of the Future Foundation assisting Menagerie with other supplies.

*CLANG*

"Thanks for the help, Pietro!"

Finishing up helping another person's artificial limb making Pietro sweat a bit exhausting himself a bit, "Whew… oh my. I must be really getting too old for doing this all the time."

"I think you do well Pietro despite working for Atlas."

The person to reply to Pietro made him sigh wondering about Penny's friend she made against the General, Robyn Hill.

Robyn is a young woman with tanned skin and violet eyes. Her light-blond hair is tied in a ponytail. She has a beauty mark under her right eye and another one on the left side under her mouth. Robyn wears a black sleeveless coat with gray accents over a red double-breasted sleeveless vest, a brown high-neck shirt, and a light gray short-sleeved shirt with one right short sleeve that has a black cuff whilst the other sleeve is longer.

Currently, she was guarding Pietro on Penny's word to keep him safe after what happened next time as she spoke out seeing who's next to speak, "Didn't expect Penny to be an android when the whole news flashed at her. But… she seems to be a very normal if not quirky girl Pietro."

Pietro laughs a bit as the two began listening to the interview was next Penny to speak up when Ozpin questioned her about the experience getting Robyn and Pietro's attention, "For the first time Headmaster sir I was afraid of what was to come. Even as an android to be the first with a soul… when I was reprogrammed to serve an alien God. Even though my Aura tried to stop it I couldn't be in control of capturing innocent people wishing to be stopped or even destroyed to stop myself… but then I met him."

Penny points to Jack with a smile on his face waving at him describing how he saved her with a fond smile on her face, "When we fought with me trying to capture him to be Starro's leading head. He found a way, to awaken my Aura enough for me to fight when I pleaded with him to end me to save himself… Heh… he told me fuck that. He says he will save me because he was here and refused to destroy me because I had a soul like everyone. And he did just that beating the odds instead of destroying me logically speaking would be right he chooses, the irrational choice to save me the more difficult path. And I couldn't be any happier for my savior for doing so."

Robyn smiles seeing Jack blush at that making her smile at this as she ponders to herself the info out loud, "Whistle~ Sounds like your little girl has a crush on him Pietro. And from the sounds of things, he seems to be a person with great character to save a life than destroy even though she's an android. Sounds like the kind of guy I need to help Mantle."

Pietro laughs lightly at that thanking his prayers that Penny met a person that treats her like a person and saves her like one of their own.

In Mistral Homebase of the White Fang, the Leader views the interview with some interest in her voice.

The next one to ask was Theodore talking to Team JNPR Pyrrha about the experience they all had with Pyrrha explaining to them, "Horrifying. When I was controlled and taken by surprise I was scared. When I was told of the situation thanks to my friends saving us, I was petrified of what was to come and everything so suddenly on our shoulders making me want to flee… but… thanks to my Team Leader's words we all have to power through the most troubling of times ahead. Even when we smile to hide the fear, we all have at the end."

She is a female, Bengal tiger-based Faunus with amber eyes, dark complexion, and wild black, chin-length hair with an asymmetrical bob style. Her Faunus trait manifested as an extra pair of ears, and her body was adorned with numerous tattoos resembling tiger stripes. She wore four golden earrings on three of her ears, one each on her Human ears, and two on her left Faunus ear as well as a small jewel on her forehead.

This person is Sienna Khan as she views the contents of the interview seeing where Blake ran up as she clasps her hands together with a confident smirk, "Hmm… truly it seems like public opinion is eating this all up. Perhaps we should try Blake to use her in fame to help support the Faunus."

Mumbling to herself Sienna thought perhaps to contact Blake about possibly rejoining the White Fang to help their goals and get other Faunus to join in talking to her group, "Brothers. Sisters. See to it that Blake Belladonna would like a chance to rejoin us when you have a chance."

Somewhere else inside the Forever Forest holding up a small White Fang Camp the White Fang member is listening into the interview as well.

Ren was next to speak up calmly as usual in his tone of the experience of what happened during the Starro event smiling slightly and holding Nora's hand making her blush, "In a manner of speaking yes I was afraid of what happened during the event. I and Nora were mind-controlled by the Neon Grimm leaving no chance for us to recover and honestly thought was the end… but thanks to our friends and leader who helped us recover and told us the news. I was scared and fearful of what was to come and yet… my leader helped me remember why we fight even though the risk of fighting an alien god was terrifying yet… his words brought with him a beacon of hope to remind us why we live and fight."

Jack can be seen rolling his eyes at this with him blushing in embarrassment Pyrrha chuckles at his antics Blake holds his hand calming his nerves and getting the other girls' attention.

*BAM*

Slamming his fist on the table Adam was seething seeing the interview while he mumbles to himself almost nearing growling, "Grr…! Why my love! Why must that bitch Schnee live when you have the chance to get your vengeance!?! Why did you abandon, me!"

Groaning and talking to himself Adam glances at the so-called Heroes of Remnant as his hatred and anger for humans blind him he mumbles to himself glancing at them, "Still… in order for our revolution to go forward… we need to take out the Heroes to show the humans their place and take Blake back. We need to make them an example."

*CLANG*

"Nonono! You stupid animals the Dust Cargo goes that way not there!"

Elsewhere in the deep undercity grounds of Mt. Glenn Roman and Neo were both helping the White Fang members move along some Dust.

Listening to the interview was next Jack to speak up when Ozpin questioned him about the experience getting Roman and Neo's attention, "About the whole alien god thing? Yeah… not exactly the cool-headed at that time. All I was concerned about was finding my teammates making me concerned about them fearing the worst but then with this whole alien god fighting against him with my Kiryu the mech by the way. It was honestly the most heart-pounding thing ever but… I was more scared of what happened if we lost. That was the drive to go ahead and beat the alien god if it was the last thing I did if I didn't then my friends would suffer if I didn't go all out."

On their off time, the both of them were both looking at their Scrolls seeing the interview going down with Neo having a good interest, "Heh. To think that little kid would one day become famous for saving all our hides right Roman?"

At this, he sighs as he scratches his head under his hat replying to Neo with an unsettled expression on his face, "Sigh… I guess but it only led, to the miss fire butt on our case. Not that I won't complain he is the same guy that gave you your voice again although I hate his guts."

Neo pouted at that trying to defend Jack in a sense as she playfully sticks her tongue out at him in response, "Bleee… At least that guy saved our and Remnant's asses though. Imagine being a servant to that big star. Fuck. That. Shit. Trying to hide would be the least of our worries."

Roman rolls his eyes at this new voice of Neo but responds, all the same, watching the interview happening in front of him, "Yeah. Yeah, I get it Neo. You seriously got some hero-worshipping for the kid you know that? Even though he returned my hat in one piece you seem to be taken, an interest in him?"

Neo could only roll her eyes at that for stating the obvious because she became grateful for Jack fixing her lifelong problem as well as getting the Roman hat back so which earned a few brownies point in her book.

Returning to the interview with most of the questions asked Ironwood soon began to speak to Jack with a formal smile on his face, "Thank you all for the response. Now then for the next question to Jack Nights. I was wondering if you could explain your armed forces assisting with the attack."

When the question was asked directly to Jack, he immediately knew what Ironwood meant as he explained it with a clear answer, "Simple. Those are droids or Ironman by themselves. Or Iron Legion I call them in a group. I created using for the purpose to guard my home and kill any Grimm that comes nearby. Or humanoid-based enemies one could never know."

Ironwood nods at this before continuing on showing Kiryu with Ironwood asking more about it to Jack, "I see… in that case how would you explain this then? The Mech is nothing I have seen before and you managed to build it on your own home?"

Seeing where this was going Jack could only respond the best he could as he replied to them all that he could, "Of course. I made Kiryu with the purpose of fighting bigger Grimm out there. Sadly, though recreating him is going to take some time since I lost him to you know fuck you starfish."

Ironwood twitches at Jack's cursing but remains steady-headed as he tries to ask indirectly to him, "Hmm… well from the looks of things you seem to be a very intelligent kind of man mister Nights. I was wondering if you would put your mind to working for Atlas. We would – "

"Fuck nope."

Freezing at the blatant response making Theodore smile at Jack as he continues, "Fuck nope. Headmaster can sincerely and kindly take my response as a no. I don't prefer to work under someone stripping my freedom and my time. I like where I'm at and now way I'm abandoning my team for a free ticket to people who have sticks shoved up their asses for their racist views of Faunus that they can all collectively die in a hellhole where their kind aren't needed. Oh, and not the Schnee family would be rude to insult my friend's family. Now then… next question?"

Everyone froze hearing Jack's radical response made the majority of Atlas or more specifically the noble and their teammates glance at Jack's response on that one with wide eyes and mixed reactions.

Robyn laughed so hard hearing how he cursed the whole Kingdom of Atlas basically saying fuck you no while Pietro chuckles at the young man's words making the General lose for words on a live screen.

People of Vacuo seeing this all laughed hard at that making a certain group take an interest in Jack Nights.

Theodore on the other hand laughed hard at the direct rejection and open cursing at Ironwood the General of the Kingdom as he stood there processing what he heard, "Hahaha! Oh my god, that was funny! And being televised as we speak! Hahaha! I have to admit kid you have spunk and the bite of your bark!"

Smiling lightly at Theodore Jack nodded while Lionheart began to speak scolding Jack a bit on his parents' card, "Now. Now everyone before this escalates things mister Nights haven't your parents taught you to respect your elders?"

At this Jack merely shrugged revealing a portion surprising the other three Headmasters of his case, "Not sure. I mean I lost portions of my memories when I awakened my Semblance causing me to have amnesia as a result or simply lost memories. So, no Headmaster Lionheart I wouldn't be known, what it would feel like because I lost any memories of them."

At this, some people glared at Lionheart for a sensitive question and others gasp hearing that news as he opens his collar with him looking his eyes away and returning to Ironwood coughing and asking another question, "Ahem! Well then in that case how about would you be willing to sell your inventions to Atlas? I'm sure – "

Before he could even speak Jack beats it to him first by replying what's he selling as a big grin adorns his face, "No. I won't be selling Atlas anything weapons Ironwood. But I'm starting to sell a new product that will surely help Remnant as a whole. Even as we speak I'm currently making a deal under our business named The Future Foundation to help Menagerie as my first client."

"What?"

"The home of the Faunus?"

"Hmm…"

"Those animals?"

People and especially Jack's friends widen their eyes upon hearing the news Weiss asks Blake with clear surprise in her voice, "Hey Blake did Jack ever mention anything about this to you?"

Blake for her part shook her head as to not knowing of this beforehand.

Jack soon reveals his selling product catching everyone's attention and showing a small capsule Ruby's eyes widen seeing it as Jack explains, "Now this here folks will be our top product for the Future Foundation. This here is a capsule that may be small now but…"

Tossing the Capsule to the side everyone's eyes soon latched onto the capsule as it soon exploded.

*Swoosh*

*Pop*

Soon enough everyone's eyes widen seeing the capsule release a car inside Jack smirks explaining it and returning the hover car into a capsule again, "This here everyone is the Capsule. You can use this to transport any items to Dust Cargos, cars, weapons, food, and so much more on hand and easily transferable! Will be selling these products in the home of the Faunus as this is where our HQ will be there till then be on the lookout when we release them to the public!"

General Ironwood saw this and immediately saw the potential this could be used for his military team and means of transportation with the other Headmasters realizing quickly of its potential and what are the limits it could contain.

But for now, they all hold their tongues for the time being as it's not mass-produced for this item they will need to talk to the new business of The Future Foundation to make the payment for them.

Although Ozpin did find the name of Jack's business something unique so to speak in his thoughts, 'The Future Foundation? A unique name and is it with the intention of setting up a foundation for the future? I'm quite curious to see how it will be now in the near future.'

"AHH!"

"I want that hover car!"

"YEAH!"

"WHEN ARE YOU SELLING A HOVERCAR?!"

"WILL PAY EXTRA!"

Jack for his part was incredibly annoyed by the fact the students want the car than the capsule confusing him greatly why.

Soon everyone yelled and was cheerful for the night leaving the interview of Remnant with new wonders and worries that everyone will remember to come for the following days.
