As I made my way through the winding caves of Greenwood, the weight of the day's meetings pressed heavily on my mind. The council had meticulously covered every strategy, but my thoughts kept drifting back to Aria. Today, I felt especially anxious, unsure if it was my own nerves or if I was feeling hers through the mate bond.
The air grew cooler as I ventured deeper into the caves. Suddenly, I caught the faint sound of singing—a melody so beautiful it seemed to vibrate through the very walls. My curiosity piqued, and I followed the sound almost instinctively, moving toward the exit where the cave opened up to the sky and stars.
Stepping into the open air, I saw them—figures flying gracefully in the sky, their movements synchronized with the music. On the ground, people had gathered, their faces turned upward, singing along. The harmony was mesmerizing.
"Is this your first time?" a voice beside me asked.
